Hi! I’m Mark and I’m from the UK. I’m a self taught abstract artist and love fluid art. I love art and creativity and I’m passionate about sharing what I learn along the way and I’m grateful for your support.
I also have a diploma in art therapy and mental health first aid. I’m also a certified meditation coach and enjoy injecting these practices into my art.
Nature is a huge inspiration for me when I create. One of the main things I love about abstract art is interpretation - we all see different things and I enjoy listening and learning about others view points. The fluid art community is amazing and I love to teach and be part of it as an artist through my own creativity, growth and evolving styles.

Hello Mark, l’idée de travailler avec de simples 'outils' m’inspire : bravo Combien de jours pour le séchage ? Dites-moi

Thank you so much Norma. Have a lovely weekend
Very beautiful, looks like space 🩶 I previously used the same colors, but all the colors were greatly affected by the black color... I will try again
Thank you 🤩
Love the colours Mark as always a wonderful piece
Glad you enjoyed it - thank you x

Thanks for demonstrating this technique. Personally I’m not “crazy” about this, but for someone who likes texture in paintings, this is it.
Thank you 🙏 Appreciate your support
STARBURST… love the theme
Thank you so much ☺️
Beautiful. ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! 😊
I'm a little confused because the first thing you did I thought might be boring but actually in the end I really prefer it very much to the other scene which I've seen a lot of. When you say blowtorch I'm thinking a hair dryer would work but I would like you to clarify that and also please clarify that medium that you have to add to one of the paints I guess to make it flow nicely again I'm speaking of the first part of the penny you did was quite frankly is the part that I prefer
Hi 👋 Check out the description where I list my paints and PM info. If you mean the CA in the gold it’s Australian Floetrol. Blow torch was used to get rid of air bubbles 👍🏻
Love!! You are so amazing Mark!
Thank you Kim that’s really kind xx
Hi Mark, Wow, it could be fireworks. I see windmills with fields of flowers blowing in the wind along with the sun starting to go down. The sun adds such beautiful colors. Thank you for sharing another wonderful piece with all the different techniques you used. Have a wonderful day
Thank you so much ☺️
СУПЕР!!!! ОЧЕНЬ КРАСИВО!!!!

Thank you. This is lining paper - used before wall papering
I love it and I'll try it.❤
Thank you 🤩
I love swirls circles and color so this is really beautiful to me. Right up my alley. Really enjoying this series. Just colorful and stunning. Love it Mark ❣️😊
Thank you so much!☺️
Very pretty 🤩
Thank you! 😊
Those are very cool! I love how you made the flowers!
Thanks so much 😊
Mark, I absolutely love this technique with all that structure and am happy to hear that there's more to come. This double piece is on fire and looks like a "reverse" firework. Very besutiful with all the different structures. It was such fun to watch you create. Your videos never get boring 🖒💖 PS: I have to admit that after you put all the paint on the canvas, I had the desire to create an own one, put on a glove and roll a rubber ball back and forth through all that paint instead of dipping the balloon, just out of curiosity what it would look like. If I had more time I would probably go get some paint, then grab one of my leftover tiles and have fun making a mess 😉 Who knows... maybe one day
You should!! I suspect the ball would be great texture too 🤩🤩
I love your experiments. This gives me ideas for future artwork.
Brilliant 🤩
Love these!
Thank you 🙏
You should enjoy what you’re creating I enjoy it myself. Love this!
Yes! Thank you! 🤩
Very unusual and very interesting piece 👍
Thank you Sandra 🤩
C est vraiment magnifique 😍😍😍😍
Yay!! Thank you so much ☺️
Ive used the balloon effect before. Youve inspired me to do more. Need to give 2 gifts to family members so I think this is a great technique. Thank you Mark 😊
That's a great idea! Thank you 🤩
Like a beautiful sunset! Love this color palette.
Thank you so much! ☺️
Well now they are gorgeous ❤❤. Keep going with these experiments Mark. 😊
Thank you! Will do! 🤩
Beautiful, it’s like fireworks and a celebration. It’s fire and passion and strength. The world is in your fingertips xx
Thank you - wow I love that interpretation 🤩
Very dynamic 🎉
Thank you 🤩
Mark. It is definitely different as the blowing out, or swiping, or stretching out... I like it very much. This colors are ideal for summer warm composition 😉. I have to try too 👍😘. Greetings from holiday in Croatia. Alena
Thanks so much! Happy holidays to you. Hope you’re having nice weather 🌦️
@@MarkJRatcliffeArt Thank you Mark 😘. Yes we are. We are on the island Krk. We have daily 31 -34 °C. The Jadran sea is warm, clear and beautiful with all colors of blue.
GREAT!! Love it!
Thank you 🤩
So Nice !! Try to put a small balloon push in the center of each flower. I just saw that idea as u were making the flowers. Does it take these pieces a long time to dry? I Love watching yr videos. Thanks for always making new ones it's so Inspiring. Can't wait for the next one.
Great idea! It dries really quickly 🤩
Wow absolutely wonderful very vibrant abstract painting Mark👍🏻⭐️🙂
Thank you so much 😀
Wow! I definitely have to try this. I love the colors! Between the colors and the embellishing with the various tools it made the diptych so unique. As always, thank you for sharing your talent and skills. Denise ❤
You are so welcome! I always appreciate your kind words and support 🤩🤩
J'adore ! Les couleurs sont très fruitées et magnifiquement assemblées ! Je l'appellerais (et c'est venu en anglais 😉) "Sunny Tutti Frutti". Il en ressort une énergie lumineuse, vive et apaisante. Bravo !
Loving that name and interpretation 🤩 Thank you so much
I loved the technique using the putty knife!
Thanks 🙏
Love these! I tried one after seeing one of your videos and it came out … not bad. I love that you don’t have to be an “artist “ to create cool paintings. Thanks Mark!❤️😊
Awesome! Thank you! Don’t doubt your artist label - you are an artist Mary 💜
That came out so cool Mark!! I love the texture. And the colors are just what im sitting in roght now, a breezy summer day!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you! Cheers!
I do wish the pink showed up a bit more 💕 This is very cool 😎
Thank you Carla 🩷
Super interesting. Resembles a textile. I would love to see this in Phthalo blue, turquoise and lime green. Beautiful.
Wait til you see next weeks - includes lime green and blues too
It’s beautiful… I’d have left the center tape off to create a real diptych.❤
💜
very nice
Thank you 🤩
