Before the free trade agreement in 1994, in Mexico we were much healthier, but with that agreement, Mexico was invaded by junk food and people changed their habits with out knowing how bad was for their health, now they are hooked to this so very bad food, may too we will be free of the junk food and return to our traditional foods,

Get used to things not working in México. Coffee machine at Starbucks or OXXO not working, Samsung Pay scanners, etc.. creating long lines. Also get used to services being slow.. just the pace of life down there

happened to me too from a no name crappy mexican company. rented a scratched up beater from them and they inevitably found a tiny scratch on the windshield that was probly already there and charged me $400.. luckily AMEX covered me, which i think was this company's plan all along. (next time try SIXT Rent a Car.. GREAT company, at least in Los Cabos)

Nice house. Obvious the previous occupants were very concerned about the criminal activity in the area as the presence of not only a perimeter alarm and covert cameras but most notably the entire perimeter having a 10,000 volt electric fence grid. Mexico may be cheap but an American living large is a big big target for gang abductions. Maid's quarters would be better used for an on-site armed guard.

I think they are trying to keep Mexicans from being priced out of there own country. Condos being in the family for decades,Mexicans rented these for years a few blocks from the beach, and where they worked, then the foreigners came with more money. Even though I have been going to Mexico for 30 years I don’t think I would bother at my age to get residency, I just go for 180 days and am happy with that.

In the US, in the last 5 years, I’ve been pulled over 1 time. I’m more concerned to learn that you have been pulled over 49 more times than me. Why are Mexican police pulling you over 50x times more than US police?

If you're a man and thinking of marriage to a women you had better do a full credit check and social media content check on her or risk marrying a deeply in debt former cornstar

The sense of entitlement from this guy thinking he can just come into a foreign country, buy hundreds of acres, kick out the people trying to make a living off that land, and not face any repercussions, is just astounding. As an American (USA citizen) myself, this is the kind of American I hate.

Anti- EXPATS? It's not a joke that foreigns are making the real state a lot higher for locals. You're telling everyone come to Mexico and buy lands, now you're saying why nobody would buy... Sorry, it's not anti-foreings, you should be more conscious.

Not many people make $4k a month or have Zero savings. I tried to do Dual citizenship in June 2024, but I do not know my American father or having information about him. My mother (she would be 92 yrs old) is deceased I do not have her birth certificate. Mexico record keeping is a joke. I told the Mexican Consulate representative in Los Angeles. I am sure in 1931 they did not keep records. I tried contacting several Registro Civil offices by email or call. That was hilarious as if someone will answer. I gave up.
