  About last part with different universes, i have to disagree. There are different versions of Spider man, not Peter Parker. There could be different versions of Mermaid, but by your definition, they should not be called Ariel.

  I don't see anything wrong with Momo's outfit. There are literally girls on bikini of that age at any beach around the world. By, the way, if we are going to be "politically correct" about what is appropiate to people of certain ages. Do people the age of Momo be exposed to death/life situations? Resort to violence? Fight each other in violent trials? And risk their life fighting criminals?

  i think i fall under the category of exaggerated and somewhat master of all? like i have an art style that's very recognizable but i can change it whenever i fell like but i can't do realism or copy art to the exact like the printers can soooo... yeah? and i do like all styles and im ok at cartoon people in my style. and i do just pickup the pencil and start drawing but sometimes i do references but yeah.

  I tend to agree with you. For the most part, as long as the characters are well done, if their race/ethnicity isn't integral to their character or story somehow, then it doesn't matter. Ariel being black for example, that's fine. Personally I think when you have alien characters (like Starfire), keep them orange (or however they look), but mostly, yeah, if the character's race/ethnicity doesn't really impact the character, and the character is done well (as you said, not being shoved down our throats), it's fine. Also, if people wanna do fanart where they imagine the characters as different ethnicities, that's fine too. Just be respectful about it. Saying "I fixed your character" and then changing their race (whether black to white, white to black, Asian to Hispanic or whatever) is just rude in my opinion, and yes, it is often done for ragebait reasons. But if you are just having fun reimagining a character, and you are respecting the original, that's fine, go nuts. And I am well aware of the history of erasing black people in our media, but I do think a lot of the comments/reactions (here and other places) are very quick to assume no malicious intent behind any blackwashing. I have definitely seen posts before where someone blackwashed a character and said, "I fixed your character." Sure, whitewashing has a much bigger history behind it, and ultimately is a bigger deal. Personally though, I see this as basically being a version of "black people can't be racist towards white people." Sometimes it's fine, and sometimes it's not, depending on the context.

  I am Japanese. First, I have a question for you all. Why is it not okay to draw black features, but is it okay to narrow the eyes and lift them when drawing East Asians? And about Japanese anime. First of all, there are almost no races in anime. If you were to categorize them, they would be anime people. I think the reason is that Japanese authors don't care much about race. What's important is a good story and good characters. The characters often act as individual characters, rather than changing their behavior depending on their race. There are certainly some anime that have a set race. For example, "The Rose of Versailles" is a story about the time before and after the French Revolution. Naturally, the characters are French. But there are probably less than 10% of anime like that. Some people ask, "Why does anime only draw white people?" That's wrong in the first place. They are not white. They are anime people or Japanese. Humans have the tendency to replace what they see with what they know. This is a long article, but I'll write it. First of all, most anime are based on manga. Japanese manga is drawn in black and white. Many characters are drawn differently within it. This is not done to depict race, but to distinguish each character. Also, in manga, efforts have been made for decades to make characters cute. As a result, it is said that the faces are becoming closer to cats than humans. Japanese manga also places more importance on facial expressions than on dialogue. For this reason, the eyes and mouths necessary for facial expressions have become larger, and conversely, noses have become smaller. The result is the faces of anime characters today. Finally, most Japanese people do not have a bad image of black people. In fact, many people like black culture. So just because a character is black in anime, they are not portrayed badly for that reason. The reality is that there are good people, and bad people, among Japanese, white people, and black people. It is rare to depict them differently based on race. Thank you

  Momo's og outfit was good as a first draft. I can see that style of outfit being amongst the first ideas for a hero costume for someone with her powers. What's bad was that she never grew past it even after the inconveniences she had with it she never changed it. Your outfit would make for a fantastic version 2 for her to evolve to. Especially after that time in the usj that you brought up.

Understandable but luckily, looks like the new generation of mangakas is also tired of this shit, so, now, we have couples getting together under 100 chapters !! 3. Isekai is Life, Isekai is Love... but yes, if the Heroes have all the same personality, no wonder people think the genre ain't original anymore. 4. I mean, the author of Food Wars basically took the sudden moans to their logical extreme lol 5. Okay, that one, I ain't even debating : fuck any sexualized lolis characters (pause) ! And fuck even harder anybody (pause) who tries to pass them as fantasy races like Dwarves !! You got the Shorstack or Petite body types if you want a short curvy or slim respectively female character but don't try to defend that the fucking preteen girl in outrageous undergarments is actually 6000 years old so "it's fine" !!

  ONe of the MAJOR pet peeves I have is the male protagonist being abused by females whenever he does anything that upsets them, accidental or not. Like he accidentally touches her breast when they bumped into each other. The guy gets beaten for it and gets painted as a pervert. It infuriates me >.<

  MHA proves in the series itself that any and all arguments of "They need to exposed skin to use their quirks" are stupid when you can just look at Mirio, the guy who's quirk made him phase through everything, including his clothes, and notice the fact that his hero costume stays on. Why is that? Well, it's very simple actually, Mirio's suit is woven with fibers that incorporate his own DNA, so that it works with his quirk and he's not just running around naked. You know who could use a costume like that? Momo Yaoyorozu, Mina Ashido, Tooru Hagakure, and there's probably more but let's just keep it to 1-A for now. That being said, my main issue with Momo's costume isn't even the exposed skin, because mistakes like that can be explained (they should've been told about the the DNA infused costumes when submitting their forms, or offered them, but it can at least be explained that they didn't know and weren't told, regardless of it still being dumb). No, my main issue with the costume is the god damn book shelf on her back. Who's bright fucking idea was it to both give her books, and place the storage of them on her goddamn lower spine / ass because all she needs is one bad fall and she's fucking paralyzed or at least incapacitated because the book shelf did more damage to her than the fall itself would've done on its own.

  @@NaThingSerious The book shelf on her lower back / ass, the books apparently hold a crapton of chemical formulas for things she might need but are too big or complicated for her to memorize. You know what else could hold that information though? A wireless tablet with Internet access and an offline library, she can look up anything she hasn't thought of previously and save them in the library for future use, the library needs to be offline because if she's in a place without wifi she can still access it.

  @@kaztheshinigami Then you just dislike Anime in general because that’s basically what it is to default in a nutshell 90% of the time, the only thing I would say is it depends on the story and genre for the One dimensional and characters without agency picks if the show isn’t going for a high end story and is just basically comedy, hanime or whatever then both of those don’t matter.

  My two personal hates are the perverted character that is only there to oogle at the sexualized female characters. MHA is even worse for this due to it being literal high school students. My second one is the buffoon character that only talks in a screaming volume. Dr. Stone had one and luckily they forced him off screen quickly, but most the time they just have that guy to yell for no reason.

  I completely agree with all of these points, honestly I’m surprised I didn’t see anything about “fan service.” It’s a problem MHA suffers from to the point where it’s just blatant sexism. Just being associated with watching anime is already tough… So I compiled a list of 3 anime’s I think everyone should should watch if you want to give anime a chance: First being Boku No Pico, it’s a nice slice of life anime to watch with the whole family! Then is Attack on Titan, a bit of an intimidating name but a very wholesome show about love and friendship. And lastly, Jujutsu Kaisen. A comedy show about a kid who reunites with his uncle after he gives him the middle finger! 😂

  One of the BIGGEST things I hate about anime is the unnecessary incest. Like i just got finished watching a season of a show and the reason behind the villains plans were good and all and so was the fight, but the villian's reason for being a villian was to save his sister and live far away for everyone else with a family of their own. Why couldn't they just make the girl a different character and not his sister 😭. Another thing I hate is when they try to SNEAK the cp into the show. Like they'll purposely make minor characters then make them look like legal adults to hide it. Like for example: Didn't I Say To Make My Abilities Average In My Next Life? They make a fourteen year old look like a woman in her twenties and all these grown people simp for her and creepy.🤦🏾‍♀️

I’m sure those people that simp for that character probably don’t know based on design alone I mean people don’t care to look up a character’s age especially if they don’t look like it which is why I don’t take ages in Anime seriously, that’s like me making an old man character and saying he’s 10 years old, like no he’s an old man same with when they make characters like that their 20 and I don’t care what the stupid Anime cartoon land says the character is, make them look like the proper age because a fourteen year old IRL isn’t looking like how ever they drew them.
