Hi. We are Ali and Chuck, aka Nana and Poppy. We love to get away on cruise ships whenever possible. We love cruising because you can be as active or inactive as you wish. On some cruises we like to be active and try everything, other cruises we like to simply nap and eat. On land we enjoy running, cycling and spending time with our kids and grandkids.

@markheying2830 Thanks for watching! We do remember, it was at Disneyland in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in 2022. Bibbidi Bobbidi was not open for the full experience due to the pandemic, but we were able to purchase the Belle Dresses that year.

@bobbybostic7947 Right, so much better than the talk with President Lincoln 🙂 This is one of the girl's favorite things to do, we do it every time we go, this year we went twice. They rotate the princesses, so you are never sure who you are going to meet. The girls are always hoping to see their favorites but have never been disappointed by whichever princesses are available. I did get a new white Poppy hat this year so if you watch future days, it will be a big change when I bust that out. The older granddaughter is a little shy. But the youngest granddaughter does. both when meeting them in person and during the parades. Start to finish, how long did it take?
@bobbybostic7947 Thanks for watching! In total the process takes around an hour and a half. We get to the boutique 15 minutes early; girls are always very excited. After they call us in to pick out everything then there is a wait until they are ready in the salon. After that is completed, there is a wait for pictures and then a final wait after the pictures while they put together the package with your pictures. Takes a while but they have loved it every time we have gone.
@@NanaPoppyTravels the Disney purist might suggest that the 90 minutes from rope drop is prime ride time, but I understand with two small girls something like this might be higher on the list than cranking out A-ticket rides before the lines get too long.
@@bobbybostic7947 This is Poppy, we actually went to character breakfast at 8am (rope drop) and then Bibbidi Bobbidi in the afternoon (1pm if I remember correctly). But to your point it is very different experience going with the girls then when I went with my brothers as kids. That was always all about the rides, now I watch parades and meet princesses and other characters 🙂
And for A ticket rides they are not up for them yet, Nana is really trying to get them there since she loves roller coasters. They did try Space Mountain but that was too much. Briar also went on Cars ride with Nana but even that was a bit much. So will probably be a few more years before they are into the A ticket rides. This is also why we don't currently get the genie + tickets. When they start going on the bigger rides that is a huge time savings but not so much when they want to go on the same rides multiple times.

@bobbybostic7947 Thanks for watching. Sawyer did want to get a bow and arrow, but Nana and Poppy said no. About the only thing we said no too. They did get new bubble wands, ears, and plenty of stuffed toys. If they ever get into Star Wars, we will need you to guide them through Star Wars Land and building their own swords.
How is the new Star Wars land?
We've only been able to walk though it as the girls are not interested in Star Wars. I think at some point we will have to make an adult Disney trip to really check it out.
We usually visit the fitness centers daily
I'm impressed. That's always a goal for us, but we get into vacation mode and it doesn't happen. We will ba back on Harmony in September and will give it another try. You'll be our motivation.
This hotel really did work out great for us. The girls used the pool on the first day after the drive to get some energy out, as you can see from the video not all their energy. We walked to and from the park every day (about .7-mile walk and does not cross any major streets). This is a smaller hotel, we did not see a shuttle, they also do not have a breakfast, but they do have coffee that we helped ourselves to and drank on the way to the park every day. Only issues we had was with the internet that was not working the first day we arrived and then a smoke detector went off another night but both issues were resolved as soon as we contacted the front desk.
Pro Tip: When visiting Disneyland, you can leave the hand sanitizer at home to save weight. There are no germs in the magic kingdom..
@bobbybostic7947 Thanks for watching. True, no germs :-) But honestly, they do have hand sanitizer all throughout both Disneyland and California Adventure so unless you have a specific brand you prefer, there is plenty in the park.

@MisterVaughn Thanks for watching! The weather was much cooler than it looks on camera. Page is over 4,000 feet elevation and cooler than the Phoenix area. At the start the temperature was in the 30s Fahrenheit and the high was only around 60. We were lucky though, the year before it had rained all day which would have made conditions more difficult.

@MisterVaughn Thanks for watching! And yes, breakfast is included. They were also kind enough to open the breakfast up earlier than normal due to the race. We booked early and had a very reasonable rate, was in a good location not far from the race (the racecourse actually ran right by the hotel) and included breakfast. We highly recommend this hotel.

That was a great guess...we were John Lennon and Yoko Ono. 😀 We had a running event 4 week after the cruise that required a lot more running than what we actually did. But it doesn't stop us.

@MisterVAughn Thanks for watching! We love your videos of the daily life living in China. Great question on what double pinnacle is, it is a very high status in the Royal Carribean frequent cruiser program. You get a point for every night you cruise, for pinnacle level it is 700 points, double pinnacle is 1400 points. There are a few ways to get more than one point, if you stay in a suite, you get 2 points per night, and during the pandemic at times they were offering double points. We are working our way to diamond level that is 80 points, so a long way towards pinnacle and even further from double pinnacle. Thanks again for asking and keep up the great content!

It really was and a nice easy drive out as well. Hopefully you can visit the ruins. They are really interesting and the architecture is amazing for the time. They are still uncovering structures in that location.
Fun Fact: The Quintana Roo region is named after a world famous triathlon bike, wetsuit and apparel maker of the same name.
They do have cool TT bikes. Have you ever owned one? I looked at them for me, but even their smallest bike was still too big for me.
Thanks for watching. Highly recommend this excursion from the Costa Maya cruise port. Was only an hour drive each way in the van and a total time of around 4 hours. There was plenty of time after the trip to walk around the port before returning to the ship.
This is really interesting to see! When did you go on your cruise? We leave Sunday. I've been looking for videos of the port once I heard a pool had opened as I didn't want to do a beach break and didn't care to see chocolate/rum factory/stores or support the animal exploitation of holding sloths.
