    Where was ALL this help and LOVE in the crack epidemic when the black-babies were addicted to crack, the black moms would be thrown into prison. Now we’re healing, mothers and children. Funny with COLOR changes SO DOES perspective. 🧐 MESSAGE. God knows. Your true heart!!!

    I used to work for Northern Lights Eastern Maine Medical Center and they literally get sued every so often for forgetting to give patients their medications which has resulted in their deaths, this place is a joke and should be shut down

    I give the emergency department in Pittsfield and Bangor both A plus when I had my appendix removed I started down in Pittsfield at SVH it was less than 10minutes and the nurse came right out and got me and offered me a wheelchair so that I wouldn't have to walk considering I could hardly walk I was in that much pain so the nurse took my vitals and then doctor that was on duty he wanted to run some tests one a urine test and they also did an X-Ray and we later found out it was my appendix. So I was transferred by ambulance to Eastern Maine medical in Bangor as soon as I got there they had a nurse ready and waiting for me I had to use the bathroom again so the nurse I had in the emergency department in Bangor she stood behind me as I did my business to make sure I wasn't going to fall down I was in that department less than 20minutes. and the surgeon that was in charge of me she came to see me and i talked with her about somethings and I asked her if they were going to do surgery that same night and she yes so I got transferred to the preop floor and the nurses that were on that night they all came to see me and got me ready. Then from there to surgery I went then from surgery I went to the PACKU for a while then I think at about 6:00 am I was brought to the PICU I was there for about 2 and a half weeks before I was transferred down stairs to adult unit then that Sunday I was brought back up to the PICU. I spent my 28th birthday in the PICU the nurses were amazing they went above and beyond for my birthday they brought me in birthday cake and balloons and decorated my room for me. 2 of the over night nurses that I had they came in to see me the day that I was going for my final surgery to put my shunt tube back in me when the preop nurses came to get me the nurse that I had that day she waved to me as well as the rest of the nurses that were working the PICU that day as I was being brought down to the surgical floor. When I got out of surgery that day I had Tiffany as soon as I got back to the PICU she came right in to see me and helped me get moved from the stretcher back to the bed I was in. I really miss seeing the smiles the nurses had they were amazing and I miss the view of the river and I miss seeing the helicopter. I haven't forgotten about you all who work in the PICU I have a surprise that I'm going to do for you all once I get my ducks in a row.

    I forgot to mention that on December 6th ill be taking a free class on how to start saving for college so I'm looking forward to that it's through the school district that I graduated from and I'm also going to look into the online phlebotomy program that they offer as well.

    I just recently got Discharge at the end of September this year. I spent I think 3 and a half weeks up in the Pediatric ICU in room 878 I loved it up there I was still registered down stairs I was over flow from the adult unit then I ended up moved down stairs the adult unit. the night that that happened I had separation Anxiety Immediately kick in luckily the next day I had one of the Erin that worked PICU so that made me feel a bit more at Ease knowing I had her and I also got to see Tara she also works in the PICU I had her while I was up there and I had Tiffany both in the PICU and down stairs so me being able to see those nurses while I was down stairs I also got to see Bethany while I was down stairs I had her while I was upstairs. Now I apologize if I spell the next name wrong Loren/Loran was nice enough and kind enough to come down to see me while I was down stairs. Luckily a few days before I had my last surgery that Sunday night Bethany came to me and told me I have good news for you I need this room I'm sending you back up to the PICU in all honesty that made my night that same night I had Kristi and Loren was up there to its a lot quieter in the PICU which is why I liked it up there. The nursing staff up there are awesome they were nice enough and kind enough to come decorate my room for me on my birthday and my day nurse she brought me in one of my favorite birthday Cup cakes chocolate with peanut butter frosting not only that but the night shift nurses brought me in a cake and balloons all due respect I love the card that that I got from you guys!! I the care that I got while i was there was Phenomenal. After watching the nurses do what they did to me to care for me I've decided to go back to school to become an RN and I want to work in both the PICU and the adult ICU. I wish I had taken the nurse training program back when I was in tech school at tri County in Dexter and while was I was a student at job Corps but back then I had no idea what I wanted to do for a career and now I do!! I'm in the process of working on phlebotomy then I want to go to CNA and then RN.

    Sweet! @NorthernLightHealth does this mean that adult inpatient will expand to floors one and two as well as 3North and 3South?

  • @NorthernLightHealth
    @NorthernLightHealth11 ай бұрын

    Sorry for the late response but our Acadia for All project includes several components. The largest is the construction of this new 50 private room inpatient pediatric wing, scheduled to open in January 2024. The second is the recent opening of our new Pediatric Day Treatment Program entrance which includes a welcoming lobby, classrooms, activity space, and more. And the third is a remodel of our current inpatient tower where all 50 rooms are being converted to private adult rooms. Together, the goal is for these improvements to help improve access to behavioral health services we provide to people from all corners of Maine.
