  I played this with my older sister and we broke the game because at the boss battle it gave us th intro and then the screen changed to black and never turned on

  Holy crap. I just looked this up to see if my memory really existed or if it was a hallucination. I played this as a kid at a six flags in NOLA! I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the exact cabinet, as I’ve never seen one again in my life. 🤯

  Irem had many hits, I find their gaming outout some of the toughest games to try and finish. One of my favorite game developers though.

  I see you didn't grab the last weapon power up. Is there a good reason for it? You might have had it easier if you had a Level 7 Staff vs. your Level 6 staff.

  Williams developed a unique 49-way optical joystick for this game to simulate the slipping and sliding movements like a bubble in the sink. I tried playing Bubbles in an emulator with a standard 8-way Sanwa JLF joystick and it was nothing like that original 49-way joystick.

  There’s an unreleased toaplan post apocalyptic action game called distopia. I believe the prototype is still out there but the only known footage is from a few vhs footage of it which is on KZread.

  Love these Developer Days and so cool to hear more about this stellar game! One of my favorites since the resurgence of arcades and always enjoy playing it when I see it, which is rare. We still have one at our local arcade in Columbus.

  I remember when this game hit the arcades, it was also the first wrestling game that really emulated professional wrestling in graphics, controls, gameplay, moves, etc. Epic classic arcade game, thanks for showing it some much deserved love.

  great show, i liked hearing about the gottlieb gameroom and all the classics they were influenced by. Krull is super fun. the game they mention, Video Vince, is in mame. outrageously rare if u wanna check it out.
