    The pet waste avoidance does not always work well. I had something in the floor that looked like poo. Ran over it. If this had been poo, omg yuck. Otherwise, this is a nice device.

    Is it possible to make ice cream with this blender??

  • @sevenminutereviews
    @sevenminutereviews19 күн бұрын

    Ice cream is not one of the settings on this blender. I was not aware of a way to make ice cream with it. But, after your question I did a google search and I did find a generic way to make ice cream in a blender. It also mentioned scraping the sides of the blender intermittently, so the smoothie bowl maker (the pitcher with the paddles) would probably be helpful with that. Hope this helps and thanks for supporting our channel.

    Regarding the nut butter, I did exactly as you, but I used raw nuts, it did not work, they did not transform into a creamy paste, and they stayed glued to the interior surface, the knob did not help out at all, and after 45 seconds, smoke came out of it. So I stopped immediately. I will retry one last time, but using this time Costco roasted nuts, just as you did. Hopefully I will get the same result! Great vid by the way. Thx.

    Hi lfguyj. Sorry to hear you’re having some difficulty. I use the spread setting, and I would recommend roasted nuts. Raw nuts (not sure if you tried with raw or roasted) won’t work very well. Also, I’ve found the paddles that turn with the knob are only effective if the pitcher is filled enough. This part may take a bit of trial and error. You don’t want the pitcher completely full, but do want it about 2/3 full so that the paddles can make contact with the nuts in order to properly mix around the ingredients. Ninja does recommend using about two tablespoons of canola oil and about 1.5 cups of almonds (almonds are a little more dry for example than peanuts or other nuts) on one of their recipe guides, though I’ve found that it does work without any additional oil as well, as it did in the video. I personally don’t like the idea of added oil, but it’s something that would help if you’d like to try that as well. Once you get a better feel for it I’m sure you will have better success with different types of nuts. I hope some of this helps. Please keep us all updated. Thanks for your kind comments and thanks for your support.

    @@sevenminutereviews i gave it another shot, so I got the roasted mixed nuts from Costco and it worked like a charm, just like in your vid. Thank you. the power paddle is a pain to clean coz butter gets stuck on the paddles and there is very little room between the paddle and the bowl, so a sponge won't work.

    When this machine works, it's awesome. Mine is two months old and stopped working today. I've done every troubleshooting thing under the sun and nada. Breville has no customer service on weekends. I'm beyond disappointed and angry. It's not pulling any water into the machine at all.

    Replacement machine was working fine this week and now it's not. I'm getting no water flowing through even on a blind shot. It's just pooling up in the portafilter. I pull a blind shot to clean after brewing and again before I brew a new shot. I have begun to really, really hate this machine.

    Yeah... maybe throw the drip stop switch before opening up and discarding the grounds. That's what it's for and, you'll no longer be annoyed. The only time the drip stop should be deactive is when you're brewing.

    thank you so much for your review. when it comes to Nespresso original vs L'or, which machine do you think produces rich in "flavorful" when used the same type of pods, and comparing side by side?... I have bought (sadly had to return) Nespresso Pop (too loud, and machine seemed faulty), but whatever coffee pods were left, I opened it and used it in "single serving" in my Ninja, and taste IS NOT THE SAME! IT LOST quality of the coffee. so now I'm back shopping for the "expresso" machine, with knowing there's an option (two sizes) on Original Nespresso.... but also this caught my interest! I wonder how the coffee taste side by side from this and Nespresso Original. have you tried it? thank you in advance :)

  • @sevenminutereviews
    @sevenminutereviews6 ай бұрын

    Hi Iryna. I truly appreciate your question and comments. I have found the L’Or to be on par with the original line Nespresso machines with respect to quality of the shots. I really like the versatility of the L’Or with respect to the larger size capsules L’Or offers which can only be used in the L’Or machines. I will also say that if you like milk based drinks (lattes, macchiatos, cappuccinos, etc), then the Nespresso Creatista models by Breville really bring those cafe style options to you from a Nespresso machine. But, if you go with any Breville product, I would purchase an extended warranty. We’ve had issues with more than one unit in the past, though we do tend to use them a lot. I like Breville’s features, but reliability is questionable. But if milk based drinks aren’t that significant, this L’Or machine is very good. L’Or does have a unit that comes with a milk frother as well, but this won’t give you the same cafe quality results as the Creatista units will. Thanks for supporting our channel.

    This unit looks nice and reasonably priced. I may purchase one. I've given up on the Nespresso Vertuo and their customer service lunacy requiring video troubleshooting of machines for repair or replacement. My replacement broke within a year as did my original purchase. Barcodes, laser and water mixed with coffee is a bad combination. I agree with those who say the Nespresso Vertuo line is junk.

    Interesting. Seems like many people have had issues, though most people love their machines and they last for years. Our recommendation is to definitely get an extended warranty, such as Best Buy Geek Squad Protection on any Breville unit. Our current daily machine is another Breville unit, which we will review soon as well. And believe me, we got the warranty on it after our experience. Thanks for viewing and supporting our channel. 🙂

    Are you able to confirm the ounces that should be pulled in each shot style for the ninja? E.g., espresso, lungs, etc. I got this machine about a month ago and it seems like the amount of liquid being pulled from these shots has dramatically decreased. But I'm not sure what normal is.

  • @sevenminutereviews

    I got mine yesterday. Used it 3 times and got error code ER09 while steaming milk and shuts off. My old De’Longhi La Specialista had no issues for over a year and we made over 500 coffee. I have an extended warranty and it’s still within 30 days. Seems a lot of people are having issues with error ER09 and ER05 but no solution.

    Yep, Breville is only exchanging them over and over again. I'd never buy Breville again.

  • @arisistible1
    @arisistible17 ай бұрын

    @@JJJettplane I got to admit, the shot quality is a lot better than most machines in its price range. What I did notice is that the error only happens on and off using the auto milk function. If you manually steam the milk (which I prefer) I never had the issue. It’s definitely a sensor issue and needs to be replaced.

    @@arisistible1 thanks for the feedback. I love the taste too and am so sad about having to deal with the company. I'll practice at steaming manually but how does one tell what the temp is that way?

  • @arisistible1
    @arisistible17 ай бұрын

    @@JJJettplane I usually hold it and place my other hand at the bottom, once it’s starts looking a silky texture and gets to the temperature that your hand feels it’s hot enough, stop it. That would be your baseline, taste the milk and feel the texture. It should be sweet, not sour and texture can be silky or more fluffy if you like the cool foam presentation. If it’s sour, you went too long. But you’ll know trust me, it’ll boil out and spill when it’s too hot lol. But again it’s preference, I always say go with your gut and your friends will like it also. • @sevenminutereviews

    We haven’t had it leak. But if we fill the smaller pitcher too much, because the blades twist onto the pitcher after you fill your ingredients, some liquid may be forced out a little. But again that only happens if we fill it too much and leave no room for the blades. I hope that makes sense.
