    I have beaten my rancher hard , cutting for hours on end tank after tank Toss it around in the woods never changed the plug or air filter had it for about 10 years It fires right up and works great to this day with only a new chain oiler and starter engagement since they are made of plastic they break some times. Great chain saw I’m a big fan But may upgrade to the 550 or 545

    I have a Kobalt mower 40V battery 6amp hours and love it- but went with a Dewalt chainsaw, not sure I made the right decision, Dewalt was $100. More expensive plus oil for chain. But it has a nice safety guard feature I like.

    @@Mypplz yes you can just take up the top layer that's lying around exposing the relatively clean hay underneath ..then compost the hay and poop in you compost maker so it kinda bulks out your compost with the hay right from the get go and the hay rots quick etc you can add leaves to it as well etc, in the compost maker ...I add coarse sand as well because I'm amending my clay soil slowly

    I have (2) Kobalt 80-volt 18" Bar Chainsaws and use (2) 5 AH Batteries. Using it on a Southeast LA farm that was devastated by a Hurricane and has been working absolutely great even cutting huge logs and trees. For oil, I like to use Ryobi Bar and chain oil. And NO more pulling and pulling to start a gas-powered chainsaw. My first 80-volt 18" Bar Chain saw with a 5-AH Battery and charger was $400 in Jul 2021. it is still being sold on Lowes website as of 5/26/2024 - I use them on a Southeast LA farm of 18 acres of tall large pine trees that was devastated by a Hurricane with a tornado 10 acres of the property nearly all the trees are down or dead. My chainsaws have been working great even cutting huge logs and trees up to 20"+ logs and it works great. I am also using the 80-volt 10” Pole saw, lawnmower, and Leaf Blower.

    Stihl is tricky to start, you are suppose to give it a couple of pulls with choke open then close it and keep pulling until it starts. You can flood those to easy and they would be a pain to start if you do

  • @Donathfamilyhomestead
    @DonathfamilyhomesteadАй бұрын

    I have not personally had any instances of bumblefoot since I've been using wood mulch. My chickens are let out daily, and it's possible for them to get it from nearly anything. If it's a concern, I know lots of people who use sand with much success.

    Bro my first chainsaw ever was a Husqvarna 440 and I got it to cut some small trees down on my second home. I'm a former linemen so being in the trees was the easy part. The thing is a beast. As a first time chainsaw owner I definitely didn't do all the things I shoulda to take care of it. You ask anyone and the thing really shouldn't even work today. It's even fallen out of a weeping willow while I did some trimming. Still runs like a champ. I actually do maintenance on it now but for a few years it was not treated right and it's still a little beast. Really long story short, all of my yard equipment is now Husqvarna.

  • @Donathfamilyhomestead

    They are used for cattle to give them mineral supplementation. I get most of mine from local ranchers but I've seem them on fb marketplace and have scavenged a surprising number from downriver of farms.

  • @Donathfamilyhomestead
    @Donathfamilyhomestead3 ай бұрын

    These tubs are used by large cattle operations. They are bought at farm stores with minerals for the cattle. I receive mine from various farmers in the area who save them for me. I have seen them on marketplace to buy. I have also scavenged many from streams and rivers. These are roughly 25 gallon but they come in different sizes.
