This has a strong sense of Saturday evening telly with family and relations darting in and out to and from the living room and kitchen. Weekends felt exciting then, even as a seven year old.

Pure nostalgia… the production, the footage… even though Brighton wasn’t great in the early 90’s, I’d take it over the crap-hole it’s become nowadays! Green Party, extortionate business rates, rents, parking restrictions, i360 (debt to b&h council) are all to blame!

Imagine my joy in stumbling across this video. I was an avid Blakes 7 watcher back in the day. We all used to talk about it at school the next day. I am now 57 and this just brings me nostalgic joy. Thanks to the late peter for bringing these sci-fi machines to life. I am seriously thinking of using ZEN on my answer phone

I'd love to do something like this! I've recorded my own message/answering tapes in the past as various SF characters, but never got around to trying it professionally. Life and stuff kept getting in the way of a pro career at doing anything of this nature. What you might call a 'duty of care'!

Inspiring. I like the vertical nature of the setup. Good way to maximize track and scenery. Still in the planning for mine - i have significantly less room, but surplus ambition for the space that i do have for Z-scale, so this is a good way to make for an interesting table, relative to the laws of Physics and scaling, anyway in making a layer cake of a train table.. Bravo!

Still makes me grin like a schoolboy! The treat to be allowed to watch Blakes 7. And then years later to have this gem of a clip. Thank you. (ORAC - booooo. Slave - booooo. Zen - 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗. Liberator would've crashed and burned way sooner with me asking Zen endless needless questions just to listen to the answers.)

From my experience of riding it during that time, I would agree that it was badly designed in terms of the junctions. I didn’t know if I was supposed to go through some of the bollards, or around them. But in terms of having a full lane, that was great. It was the first time I’ve cycled in Worthing and felt truly safe and not a second class citizen. I wouldn’t have minded them being removed, if they had been in place long enough to gather enough data that could then be used to build a permanent solution. But as it was, the drivers screamed and screamed, and got their way, as always. And once it was removed, it felt worse than ever after having something, to then go back to nothing. So I started riding at night, and then just stopped entirely. So congratulations.

What a fantastic Z layout! So many trains Working. I have been doing this for about 25 years but this is the best I have seen so far. I am currently changing every thing to DCC and adding lights. Lights make a big difference.
