Please research how “final fusion” can result in functional capability loss in did/osdd systems. Focusing on final fusion can result in a permanent loss of function held by other alters, resulting in worse outcomes.

Thank you for this feedback! It will be considered. The hope was to present a simple approach to fragmentation and dissociative process. I will review the content as per your comments. Thanks for taking the time to provide them.

Yes my goal was not to suggest final fusion is the answer as we generally do not always know what is best for a system, but i can see how the metaphor does that. I will revise this content to ensure it reflects that. Thank you

@@namrecovery8518 I think your current presentation is well framed for singlets in the context of internal family system model. :-) In that case, the focus is on the core self which i think makes sense. -- Definitely the pathway forward is more complex when a plurality of consciousness/personality/discontiguous episodic memory/.. is identified.

I think you are describing something like internal family systems / structural disassociation theory. With regard to did/osdd 1.b is a developmental disorder in children adapting to unique stressor dynamics , the topology of the fragmentation varies. The ANP / core self model / Emotional part might apple to some plural systems, but definitely doesn’t map to all systems. We have lots of “anp” alters that are capable of work, taking criticism, emotions, although that have independent and distinct characteristics. We also do have trauma holders which are initially not capable of day to day functioning. Also we use our plurality, and distinct alters, to provide advantage in work - we can view research and development problems from multiple perspectives/ models and solve extremely hard problems singlets (individuals that are not plural) cannot because they have a more monolithic perspective/approach. We focus on addressing trauma, not on unification of alters. Also our child parts are not violent as you suggested in one of your examples. Also we do have co consciously alters, so we are working together as a functional group. Your model is too simplistic.. your describing things / behaviours that can happen, but it is not limited to that. -- it sounds like sometimes your talking about functional multiplicity … other times it sounds like final fusion? -- I think the approach or high resource state connecting gently to trauma to heal (without directing it in some prescriptive way) seems safe approach.

I don't understand the difference between letting your anger out in a way that doesn't hurt the people around you and being able to express it at the inconvenience of everyone around you. I have screamed at people before and was told that that was an unhealthy way of dealing with my emotions. Most poppsych articles I've read revolve around controlling your anger, letting it out in some way that allows your mind to calm down so you can come back and express your feelings rationally. When I do that it causes me to bury how I'm feeling however it's worth feeling like I handled a situation appropriately instead of hurting those around me. Also, I have people in my life who don't communicate with me except through passive aggressive behaviours and it feels like walking on eggshells and like I constantly have to check in with them. So I'm confused. Is the appropriate action to behave like a toddler and take the piss out of each other for an hour and come back? Or is it appropriate to take time away from the person to calm down (or something) and come back with rational mind sets. Also I gathered (I know this a lot I'm sorry) from your last video that our goal is to stay within our prefrontal cortex or remain calm (destressed) as much as possible so I'm getting mixed messages and I'm feeling confused

Thank you for question. It is best to be calm before speaking. When you put out negativity, sooner or later it finds its way back to you. There is a video on peeling back the emotional layers of the onion to address root cause. Otherwise anger just gets regenerated. So venting is not efficient and often is destructive when used chronically over time to manage. Much better to learn to reframe the energy behind the anger by things like the resentment prayer so that the energy becomes useful (versus being vented away). Hope this helps. Lots of videos on the subject - suggest stress and relationship to triggers as well. Often what we blow up at really isnt too related to the actual cause of the anger.
