At least three against the Rangers. #sigh We are the chipped-tooth kid from "the new family" down the block that you want to be "a little" successful, but secretly rejoice when we dive for a foul ball and come up bleeding. Yeah, sister down the street (freeway) got turnt out and made something of herself. But, we continue. Throwin our glove down, shakin our fist, just to say "YOU JUST WAIT!!" Leading the league in strikeouts per at-bat, a .196 combined batting average after signing the contract. Davis’s declining stats made him look like the worst player in all of baseball. Davis himself should never have been bad, because he had been good before. The contract was a complete disaster and only got worse over time.

Yeah for sure. He had a good run with the Cubs, but we'll always remember the players of our favorite teams when we were children and first getting into the sports. Those were the guys that got us hooked for life, and those rosters have a special place in our hearts. I got into baseball in 2014 at age 11 with my grandpa (No one else in my family was big into baseball so I found it myself on local Fox Sports AZ), and Goldy was my hero from day one. So sad he's on the Cardinals. It's the same with Aaron Rodgers on the Jets, now. He's my favorite sports player ever and a big reason why I'm so passionate about the Packers. Childhood sports heroes are the best, man, and we'll never forget them.

I’m confused. How do double plays have anything to do with base running? I get maybe speed on the base paths being a part of those might have sort of an effect, but can’t most double plays be chalked up to bad contact or hitting the ball to the wrong place?
@tono_egg Жыл бұрын
i guess a faster runner would beat it out at first more often. pretty odd though
@baseballs_king Жыл бұрын
I should have been more clear in the video, sorry! Double Plays only matter for BsR to a certain extent; what really matters is the number of double plays you hit into given the number of opportunities (so if a batter hits a ball to the infielder with a guy on first, the infielder throws to second and get one out, but the batter beats out the throw to first, their BsR will be better.) So, it's really measuring how many double plays a player does or doesn't beat out, not exactly all double plays per se. It looks at the running factor of double plays, not the actual number of double plays itself. Hope this helps, and sorry for the confusion!

What makes the TP so rare is that there MUST be nobody out and MUST be at least two on base. That scenario doesn't happen all the time.
