You aren't going to ark the ground on tge ground with your wrench or ratchet. After it's disconnected, when you put the wrench or ratchet on tge hot, if you hit the ground, it won't arc anymore either, so if we stay in the habit of that, we'll save hide eventually, because the best of us will get comfortable eventually. Why not train ourselves well and try to bring the USA back on the map for quality work?

Thanks for this video, there are always positive contributions friend. Last night I went to bed at 11 PM trying to place the (Starter motor or the part that holds the rope) inside the cover since 4 PM and I lost the battle until today when you explained in this video that the alignment hole must coincide with the hole underneath for the 4 screws to fit hahaha, well I made the mistake of removing the 4 screws because the machine got stuck. lol Thank you. I think your old carburetor was defective from the factory and that's why your machine wouldn't start. But the machine that I have now 11 years after this video came out is a huge headache, these machines should be withdrawn from the market. Thank you again.

Okay. I watched all the videos about your weedwacker. I just rebuilt the exact same one yesterday. And so, because I've done it literally dozens of times, here's what I'll contribute for your help. - I bought piston rings for this from an Italian company called Caber. - all burn and grease comes off using EASY OFF oven cleaner. Wash off with regular soap and water after, then grease lightly with wd40. - buy carb kits online. Replace all carb components. - flush out jet ports. Don't confuse them. Re-adjust carb settings once everything is done. - clean out fuel system, flush out lines and filter. - use ONLY the manufacturers recommended fuel. There are models that require regular 89 and not 87. - mine used 50:1 mix. I get the feeling, that yours had lower fuel mix: 40:1, or 32:1. MEANING. both 40 and 32 have a higher oil count than 50. Which means less fuel. - make sure therd are no holes or gaps on the carburetor and housing assembly. - make sure all your carb housing holes are lining up. - mine had a compression of 115psi I have seemingly a 100% success rate fixing these. I'm unsure of the condition of yours since it's currently July 2024. Or what happened. But, I was intrested. Have a good day

We just got a fan for our patio cover that has a remote. We have 5 young kids and I know that remote is going to disappear so fast and then we can't turn on our fan. Hope this helps my husband figure out how to bypass the remote... it is a different brand of fan with different colored wires. Why did the ceiling fan industry seemingly universally decide they should all be controlled by remote? Stupid.

My understanding is it is faster and better to remove the SD card and use an adaptor and plug in the card to the computer, not use the cord to connect it during updating.

I repair weedwackers for a hobby and Homelite is about the worse! Yes I wasted 2 hours taking off those 4 screws and I cursed for rest of the day! I am about to give up trying to line the stupid starter coil, or I might just throw it into garbage or strip it for parts. Homelite products are irrepairable and they are crap! including their chain saws

Many years ago, my girlfriends teenage boy managed to run my lawnmower out of oil and the motor seized up. I visited a local lawnmower shop in Lewisville, Texas and the elder gentleman mechanic told me to mix ATF fluid with Laquer Thinner, pour the mixture into the spark plug hole and let sit overnight. Then the next day try rocking the mower blade back and forth a little bit to free it up. It proved to be pretty stiff at first, but after a few minutes of rocking back and forth, it totally freed up and ran successfully for several more years!!! I've used that same mixture several times since then on other engines with good results. Too bad, after several days of working on my Homelite, I still can't get my weed whacker to hit a lick. It exhibits "ALL the same symptoms "as yours....even after removing the muffler. Piston and ring looks clean....compression seems fine. Next step is to purchase a compression tester and check for low compression. Sure is a brain teaser. After that.....maybe I'll bite the bullet and upgrade to a more reliable brand!!!

I am trying to realign the screw holes for the pull cord reel but I can’t get them to align due to rope tension. Can someone please help me out? What do I do? I got the motor loose and didn’t think about it when I removed all the front screws and now I can’t reinstall the engine cuz of this.

My model is VT21566 Mighty 26VT has the knob you turn to run half choke and full choke . Does not run at all . I toke knob off after I put on chock was not on chock . I can not see how that supposed to work by turning knob. Take knob off there no way it turns anything . How do you get around so chock works? That knob does nothing I can see.

It's only two bolts to pull the slides out, clean all that out, and regrease. Jack stands or at least a safety tire, not just a jack, jesh. Way loose on the lugs. All Panthers use 1/2"-20 thread lug nuts and studs and so the correct torque is 85-105 lb-ft (with dry unlubed threads, of course).

in my experience the amount the oil they recommend isn't enough, this leads to worn rings and scuffed pistons, the oil that comes with this says add to one gallon of gas, that's like 55:1 i would say 40:1 is a much better and safer mix. and its a standard mix for most two strokes. they do this to save money they can give you less oil with is and say it works for a whole gallon.

Thanks for the excellent video Kent! You showed great patience with this too.. Since this was 10 years ago anyone found a decent aftermarket brand now that we don't have the Ford oem option? I know this is Dorman here. Have they improved any? (96 Mustang GT npi) Not looking to do the PI upgrade yet.

It's not that bad. If you do it yourself the you know it was done right with top quality parts. The 8mm body panel clips are cheap and I don't trust mechanics to care enough to make sure they were all in place.

I used a car jack to raise the rear end of the steering column so that the L bar on the column could be inserted into its slot (after a frustrating hour of trying to do that on my own). That was the hardest part of putting things back together after the coupler was replaced. Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I would not have tried doing it myself without the detailed instructions you gave in this video.

I am sure someone has said it but the slightest squirt of ether is what is needed when using easystart. Think of the volume of fuel that it would replace as a guide! You only need a 'sniff' of it - it is easy to overdo the ether and then even that stage will not help! Yes, these two strokes are so reliable until they go wrong and then it can be a real hunt trying to find the problem!
