No way as many people as your assuming will be able to afford this, will be able to afford this. There aren’t enough millionaires and billionaires to make the trips needed to sustain the business model. It a fantastic dream, but that just it, a dream. It may be possible if industry and governments invest and use it. But public money will never be enough to do it.

There are 1.4 million people in America worth over $10 million. Most will bring their spouse or significant other. This business model works. But as we build more VERA stations our prices will drop. As we build bigger stations our prices will drop. This business model follows the manner that Henry Ford used to dominate the automobile industry 100 years ago: Keep making your product better and cheaper and you will win.

The ability to open the assembly ring and join it with other assembly rings for the construction of larger diameter Tores would be a wase upgrade to accommodate future habitat and agricultural habitat needs. also including a straight cylinder capability for O'Neil cylinder construction would be desirable from a utilitarian standpoint. That way you could build any size or type of cylinder space station that a customer would like with one machine design with one or more machines.

building a tourus in space is great but how many tonnes of breatable air would it take to pressurise that, then theres all the internal structures and divisions, so yeah you could create a tin can tourus in weeks, but it would be years before it could offer anything safe to inhabit, hundreds of material and air launches... and a cost of billions

What about the vertigo problems of rotating stations? That is a big problem for these kind of stations. I would not make so many Windows, but rather use lcd screens posing as windows, with a stationary camera that will give the illusion of not moving. Every section of the ring his own camera. And only service Windows.

Tube stations or Egg stations do sound like intriguing ideas. Adding gravity could definitely enhance the experience, whether through a gravity pulse field, turbine driven, or something similar involving iron balls with magnetic aid. It's a fascinating concept that could revolutionize space habitats.

Build a floating scalphold in the shape of a wheel the size of the earth and make it spin fast and fill it up with self leveling concrete to several feet thick and convert it to an advanced city nature habitat that rotates around Earth's equator and is close enough to make use of the earths atmosphere and designed similar to the station called elisium.

Connect these with eachother like a donut stack so that each is rotating around its own center. Continue to build the stack around the equator over hundreds of years and eventually you will have a ring around earth. The donuts can be connected together through their centers with a elevator shaft like structure to make traveling between the ring modules easy. This could house the entire human civilization eventually.
@nddjdjdj2jdjddjdj22 күн бұрын
Although it would be more beneficial and easier to build it around our moon because it's easier to transport the resources required up in orbit. To speed up the construction, we could make a space elevator by having a weight with a long tether. Ships could connect to the tether when orbiting and get a speed boost, and similarly connect to it when deorbiting to decrease their speed and effectively passing its velocity on to the space elevator.

Like opening each others knowledge and ideas to each other to see if you guys can work on a joint project to make this happen? It would open up Gateway to a lot of avenues. I do hope more than anything you’re able to persevere and do this because this would be not only life changing for us humans alive now but it’ll be the launching point for humans and establishing humans as an off world race.
