    Wow!! I have followed Kiki for years and always loved her delicious and easy plant based recipes (as well as her calm, peaceful nature). But this interview is now my all time favorite content with her! I loved hearing about her spiritual journey and her techniques for improving our mindset and self love!! Brought me to tears! I'm going to start journaling these things tonight! Amazing job, both of you!! ❤

    Dr Greger 's approach to hormone replacement is appalling--very little inclusion of relevant research, cherry picking from the WHI, which was based on the use of synthetic hormones and has been retracted even by its authors, a disdainful disregard of the enormous physiological differences between men and women, the lack of research using female subjects, and on and on. He appeared to simply be too lazy and uncaring and possibly afraid to do the necessary work on this topic, but just glosses over it in his otherwise excellent book For shame, Dr. Greger!!!

    Plant Chompers KZread has 3 videos on health influencers. The 4 that he hand picked that 1) lived the longest, 2) and in the best health, 3) and with awards and honors, 4) and with faultless exemplary track records in life, 5) and perfect Wikipedia pages with no controversial claims, 6) and who helped save millions of lives for humanity, Dr. Kummerow 102, Dr. Hinohara 105, Dr. Denmark 114, and Dr. Zheng Ji 110, all 4 ate a small to moderate amount of animal foods 2 or 3 times every day, along with a balanced diet in the 4 basic food groups in moderation with no junk food and all 4 kept super fit. All 4 said the best protein is from animal foods.

  • @ronaldkoch2766
    @ronaldkoch2766Ай бұрын

    Dr Greger is a quack. He has no interest in optimal human health. He is an animal activist and his only agenda is to convince people to stop eating animal products by any means possible. He misrepresents scientific studies and twists his interpretations of them in ways that are not supported by the data. I'm 64 years old and I reversed 20 years of metabolic syndrome by switching to a keto diet. I have since modified it to my own specific needs. It is a misconception that it needs to be a "high fat" diet. The point is to burn the fat already stored in the body, not to add more. A modest amount of EVOO and omegas are my main fats, and protein is most important on keto. Plant or animal protein are both fine. It is true that the most important thing that anyone can do is eliminate all ultra processed foods completely. Eat natural whole foods with one ingredient. My primary protein source is fish, and also for the healthy omegas. I do however avoid red meat and saturated fat because that effects me negatively. But fish and poultry seem to be fine for me. I never eat any grain or legumes. When I was eating the "official" recommended diet for diabetes, It felt like a good day if my blood glucose tested below 200. I needed to cut carbs considerably, although I still eat plant based foods, but only low glycemic plants and no starchy carbs. My blood glucose and A1C is consistently in the normal range now, and at 64 I am healthier than I was at 40, with no trace of cardiovascular disease.

    What lessons can we we learn from one Blue Zone, Ikateria? The author used deception through omission. The questionnaire he used for the inland residents for food choices left the 3 highest consumed food... Pork Goat Lamb. If anyone wants to verify this, let me know and I'll give you contact details of the woman who has first hand knowledge on this. Gregor is further spreading misinformation.

    This is such a low effort, shallow comment. Yes, he could wear contact lenses, a baseball cap, shave/dye his beard and straighten and bleach his teeth, but it wouldn't make him any healthier, on the contrary, he would expose himself to a myriad of unnecessary chemicals. He looks like regular healthy guy.

    Heart disease is the number one killer of people today and cancer is number two. Being over weight is the number one factor leading to an early death. People who are over weight have higher risks for high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Even children today have signs of artery disease. Fast foods and sugary drinks have long term consequences. There is an obesity epidemic today where over 60% of the population is overweight or obese. What is common today and "NORMAL" is not healthy. The average person today is not healthy and is taking medications. Heart attacks were once only common in people over 65. Today people in their 40 are having heart attacks. Add more plants and vegetables to your diet and less junk and overly processed foods

    Health care costs are out of control. Going WFPB vegan can save money, pain and suffering from disease. Lower your chance of high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer by going vegan. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices, stress reduction, improving sleep and daily exercise.

    Timothy Ferris did a 7-day fast with True North, using the whole process of rest during fasting and a vegan diet. He ended up losing muscle and gained the weight back shortly after fasting. He did a 7-day fast on his own, while walking every day and eating a ketogenic diet afterwards. Not only did he not lose muscle, but he was able to keep the fat off afterward with a ketogenic diet.
