JSP is great especially from a generation when their was so much restriction, rules and expectation, she lives life on her and terms and very full life at that - quite inspiring considering her humble beginnings in a very middle class dominated industries.

JSP has learned that the crass, rude behaviour draws her much craved attention. That's her claim to fame, but it also makes her a frightfully unpleasant experience.

Janet's demeanour just shows how insecure she really is. Also, she seems to feel the world revolves around her. Loud, selfish, narcissistic.

Since she knows everything the only reason she did the programme would be for the money, publicity and hearing her own voice.

Janet is great. People who come from problematic households where they did not feel loved do not like talking about their parents. Unless they have themselves become just like their parents were.

Yes my parents moved from central London then to west. London then to CROYDON in the late eighties early 90s . We lasted a year and then moved back . Commuting 1 and a half sometimes two each way. Disaster

Funnily enough, she’s lovely. My brother took her in his taxi - and she offered to help with the luggage when she realised he was struggling with arthritis. 🙂

When I was a kid, every year for no reward, Janet Street Porter would open our summer fete at the Hayes Community Centre. She was always charming and funny and we loved her.

She may not agree with therapy but for someone who is always ranting on about table manners, she is the most ill-mannered person with her sloppy and ungracious greeting on meeting this gentleman.

My parents also removed me ffrom all my friends and everything familiar when I was 15 at the end of that school yr. My plan wasn't to continue on in school, back then not many girls went higher than age 15, so I couldn't even make new friends thru schooling, it was very hard, sadly I can't say 'this person has been my friend since kindy'

I love her, seriously! I was very ill 🤒 & very low & my daughter gave me her book LIfE’S TOO F~~~ING SHORT & it helped me, it made me think & laugh & agree that life’s short! I think it was the turning point also to not worrying about what others think or care about me, only my family & very few friends, as like her I do tend to say it as it is, still do! Thanks to my daughter & JSP. X ❣️x
