Was this just an off night or is he finally losing upper vocal range and accuracy?
@tvtonite79Ай бұрын
While he does seem to have lost a good deal of upper range & also appears to be an off-night, there is another factor at play here, IMO. The person who recorded this was right on top of Micky's vocal monitor. It never sounds as good/the same as the full range of speakers that all the music/vocals are going out into the audience. I know this from past experience when I used to record a DOORS tribute band. You can hear this same song recorded from further back & sounds totally different/better. I also compared it to some concerts of his from a few weeks earlier. MUCH better vocals, albeit not that of a younger Micky. At nearly 80 years of age, I think he sounds pretty darn good.
@HumbleTrader001Ай бұрын
@@tvtonite79 true, and as recently as 2 or 3 years ago, he was still hitting incredibly high notes at the end of I’m a Believer, so it could be an off night.

it always amazed me how the monkees were interchangable. what i mean is how any of them could sing a song they didn't originally sing lead on and sound good. i hope it makes sense how i explained my amazement. :)
