    What you say may be valid but I must admit.....I used starting either on occasion and I always said...if the bastard doesn't start with starting fluid it isn't going to start. I do bet that MANY people have never heard of the possibility of cracked rings and it is something new to me. I'll keep it in mind.

    I’m sure a lot of people haven’t. I never would have heard it if I hadn’t spent $38,000 to go to tech school. And sat through all of those lectures.

    starting fluid is used as a test. not used everytime you start, so any damaged is minimal. But your right use carburetor cleaner as it's cheaper more readily available.

    Except a factory is far far more efficient than a little combustion engine and has a lot more regulation on how the by products are disposed of.

    Generators that produce power for your homes are far more efficient than car engines, requiring less fuel to produce the same amount of energy. So using electric vehicles does in fact make a difference, even if they both use fossil fuels in the end. But everyone has their own preference!

  • @TheSholtzy
    @TheSholtzy7 ай бұрын

    Stupid. Wildly inaccurate. 1. Efficiency. Even if your electrics are run from coal burning ALONE, the CO2 emissions are still less charging vs. gasoline. 2. Renewables. Power doesn't come from ONLY fossil fuel anymore. In at least 10 US states, more than 50% comes from renewables, and 3 are over 75%. Do you think the # of clean renewable energy plants is increasing or decreasing? Duh. 3. Inevitably. As the tech is relatively new, it has a LOT of room for improvement. It is not perfect... but it IS inevitable and often already better than ICE. As all the related techs continue to improve, it's not going to just go away. Inevitable. Even if you take out the climate change factor, the fact remains that fossil fuel by their very nature are a finite resource. Whether we run out in 1 year or 1000 years, it WILL run out. Seems to me the smart choice is to use and develop the renewable techs while we still have ICE's to fall back on as we learn our way through. Even the biggest haters should appreciate that, after all the more people use the EV's the longer the ever-present rednecks will be able to go muddin in their diesels! 😂

    some people buy electric cars because the fuel for them is much cheaper than the price you pay to drive a gas car the same distance.

    Coal power plants are more fuel-to-output efficient than internal combustion engines. Coal burns with less CO2 output than gasoline, making coal a greener fuel source than gasoline. Source: google

    I ain’t democrat but the thing he is missing is that those coal power plants burn fuel 2 to 3 times more efficiently than gas cars could ever. Credit Yale climate connections report Not to mention that most grids nowadays are also partially powered by greenhouse energy helping decrease the carbon footprint of electric vehicles

    Kinda right kinda wrong car engines lose around 60% of there potential energy to friction and heat and power plants are around 90%. Also only 15% of American power comes from coal the vast majority around 60% is from fossil fuels and the rest is natural gas. Also yes the cobalt mines and slave labor is a big problem but that problem is pretty standard throughout the production lines of every item and yes the US government needs to step in to protect people from these atrocities.
