  Goodness gracious the sketch writing on SNL during this era was atrocious. Eddie Murphy is the only funny thing about this sketch. The premise of the sketch is ridiculously unfunny.

  I also bought my first Def Leppard albums at the Music+ down the street from where i grew up in a suburb of L.A. back in the 80's. I even remember buying the gold Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Pyromania cd there. Miss that place.

  I have always found the "gone-gone-gone, she been gone so long" chant, in the lead-up to the verses, low-key menacing. I don't know why. I think maybe the chord progression. It's broody and mysterious.
