Volvo, SAAB & Jaguar enthousiast, also all classic cars. I'm a self made man in mechanic and body work, I'm always trying to improve my knowledge. Challenging myself to do some works to give more confidence and proudness !
I never been in a mechanic or body shop since 35 years to maintain my cars. I'm on the 60's and I'm doing everything on my it.
I drove SAAB since I'm 30, owned all the models from the SAAB 99 GL to the SAAB 9.3 old generation, a 2002 SAAB 9.3 Aero HOT convertible. I had SAAB 9000's CSE, CD Griffin, SAAB 900 T8, T16, 900i 16, 900i 16 convertible, T16S convertible.
SAAB 99 GL 2.0 litres, SAAB 99 L special 1.7 litre. The SAAB I really missed is a 96 or 95 V4.
I bought Jaguar by "chance", I wanted to try ! it's a XJ Sovereign 4.0 litres from 1994, X300. Jaguar is an amazing brand, as most of the english brand, they always did a fantastic job compared to their financial capacity.

what gauge of steel did you use?
I used 1mm, 1,2mm and 2mm depending the parts
Thank you for the video I am pretty sure this is why my front defroster does not work
You’re welcome ☺️
VOLVO POWER❤❤❤
Yesssssssss
Great video, glad you are happy with the product! Only a real Volvo enthusiast can stand fixing the car in 43 degree heat 😅.
Haha thanks guys and warm “Bonjour” to Sweden 🇸🇪! I mentioned the temperature by editing and forgot to talk about . I guess only sun’s reflection on the temp sensor ( btw I don’t know where it is ) make that hot. It was about 30/32 degrees. Cheers and thanks again for your work
That’s a very good choice
What size mattress do you use?
It’s a 190cm by 140cm (recut to 135cm)
@@psv1600 thank you so much! this was so helpful, i’ve just bought a v70 d5 and i’ve been looking for the dimensions (and curtain ideas) for ages as i want to turn it into a little camper. ☺️
Always put your stuff in the vice. Dont hold it bud.
Thanks 🙏 I learned from that 😅
Looks excellent, cleaner and easier than painting 👍
Yes for a fast and cheap result it’s perfect. Of course if we want the perfection it’s another job.
I’ll be ordering 2 sets for my xc70 and s60r. Thank you for help with this chronic Volvo problem.
Thanks to you ! I received your order already 👍
I have an XC70 with the deteriorated rubber around the windshield too. May just do this!!
yes you should it's easy
Would this work on any P2 Volvo from 2000-2006? I have a 2004 Volvo s60r and am extremely curious to see if this would work for me.
Yes I guess it’s works also your V70. You can send me a picture of your A pilar at [email protected] I will check if it’s the same. I’m 95% sure anyway 😅. Cheers
What has caused the SRS warning in the instrument panel? Cheers
Hi, it’s when I unplugged the climate control unit 😅! There’s the dstc switch who concern the traction control and connected to the ABS module I guess.
I removed with the Vdash software from D5T5, and it’s free to download.
@@psv1600 I really want to avoid causing that error message. Do I simply need to ensure the ignition is not on, or should I disconnect the battery to install it? cheers!
@@nzalexandrhi, in fact you don’t need to remove the unit, it’s a mistake I did! Lucky me I had the Vdash software. So if you never touch that you’ll never get than warning light. Cheers
Thanks good video
Your welcome 🙏
Finished this job a few minutes ago. My hands are still black from the glue😅. First trim I did a total mess. Also cutted the rubber where you tell to stop applying glue. Anyway, proceded with the job until it was time to put the trim back in place. It really didn't want to slide on the clip. Black glue everywhere. I was in doubt to cry or to throw evrything in the garbage. At a certain point the clip under the rail popped off. This turned out to be good as to deal with it I had to lift the rail and OH GOD NOW THE JOB turned to be really simple. So, long story short: i suggest to lift the rail just a bit so you can push the trim on the underside clip and not slide it.
Mama mia ! Hope you finally sorted out with the installation. Anyway it's cool to give us feedback as I don't know really what's going on with the other buyers. If you can send me a picture it would be nice. Grazie mille !
Simple and good 👍
Thanks for your comment 🤩
I ve got some since 2 months! I ordered them. Its top! Perfect. We can use the whole space this way. In the video it needs over 10 min to prepare. With my wife we do it in 5. Very good, for light, isolation. Also we could ask a personalized design. We are so happy with them... already 15 nights spent in it.
Thank you so so much Antoine! We’re so happy that you enjoy your Volvo camper thanks to our curtains 🤩. We love to do that job for people like you , it’s even more satisfying than to make the curtains themselves. Enjoy together and you’re always welcome of course. Cheers
Спасибо брат я вчера заказал. Сегодня буду подключать. У меня volvo s60 2008 Года. С меня лайк 👍👍👍
Thanks to you for your comment, enjoy
I have 1998 jaguar xjr 4.0 supercharger having a p0715 and the gear box fault code
It’s a good idea to start a flush, and if ever maybe it’s a sensor
Do you know where i can get the 5 pin thing to add amplifier leads ???
Honestly no ☺️
Excellent video, just have a question regarding the procedure - why not firstly glue the rubber to the trim, and then install it on the car after the glue is dried?
Thanks for your kind words 😍! I did because of the flexibility of the seal. As it’s stock rolled on itself, it’s still curving even when it’s cut to 1m, then potentially will unglue because of that. With this way I’m almost sure that it will glue flat and straight, especially by using a masking tape, who push the trim against the windscreen. Cheers
Bonjour, je vais m'acheter un V70 pour la même raison. C'est quoi la musique? J'adore
Vous allez adorer! Les titres sont écrits dans la description
Bro very nice im gonna do it like you
You must to do and you’ll sleep very very well
Hi! Super nice solution with the curtains :) I just got a Volvo v60 from 2013, do you have a suggestion for curtains in this model?
Hi, you should make a template of your windows by inside then to find someone who can sew. Unfortunately we don’t have this model in stock and it’s even very rare on the road. Write me an email if you want at [email protected]
Come possibile ordinare ?!
There’s all the links in the description
Thank you! I want to keep my old radio but be able to play music from my phone. Appreciate the video which helped me understand how the thing worked.
You’re welcome ! And it’s working really well.
I have a JAGUAR XJ6 4.0 1993. I have been watching your videos and get so focused, I forget to make a comment. You are very bold man, but after seeing skills this will help me give it a try. Your videos are motivating and awesome. 😮
wow what a sweet comment, thanks! In fact I did the work reverse than any normal guy... I started to renew the rear subrframe (videos also on the channel, poor quality sorry...) before to check any rust all around the car... So, after spending a good amount of money and energy on the rear, no choice to restore her or to throw away... I fell into my own trap haha ! But honestly it's so satisfying and I learn a lot. I never did that before, what you see isn't sometimes the reality: in the way that I spent a lot of time in some areas and cut or removed many videos footages where I did mistakes and said bad words. Well I'm still on process to repair the A pilars, I think about 2 weeks before the episode 14, stay tune ! Thanks
@@psv1600 merci !
Dont change the head unit. Your parking sensors and steering controls and other sound wont work
No need to change, just plug at the back of the unit
My pleasure ❤. Do it it’s pure pleasure, comfort and safety
Thank you very much for sharing. I have a v70 and wish to do this with my son
Hi,have a question about this model ,,blue music,,all of them i find on web there is no telephony which is really sad if can not use the phone for phone calls, but this what You,ve installed have the microphone so i guess should be possibble,,ma question is--did i find the wrong ,,blue music,, adapter?
Hi yes there’s an option with the microphone for phone calls. Maybe they are out of stock now ! But honestly it’s not the best for phone calls. When it’s ringing it’s difficult to take the call and mostly i can’t hear the caller, so I stopped to use as hands free phone. It’s perfect as Bluetooth music adapter and it’s really worth it for that .
Here is the link for the version with cellphone microphone: www.amazon.fr/dp/B07VYTXR34?_encoding=UTF8&linkCode=sl1&tag=psv1600-21&linkId=bd648c3a542d572c2dd1ef4b2a982a97&language=fr_FR&ref_=as_li_ss_tl
What about for grey bumper trim?? I don't think that black is appropriate.
Yes you can use also for the grey bumpers who get faded also
The side protections on the Volvo are grey and in the same materials than bumpers and it’s working well
Great tutorial ! I'm gonna try this once i'm back at my Saab in my holiday home 👍
Thanks ! You should do every years but it’s working well
last jaguar what buy ,c class from 2003 just a bit dust .this cars jaguar from what metal are make it

Yes you really need !
100% faultless . Superb quality

Hows the quality in phone calls?
Honestly I never use it, it’s not so friendly to use as it is for the music Bluetooth

Hey where did you get the window blockers from
We do it, check the description 😊
Thank you for posting this video! I just placed an order for my S60 and can't wait to make like new again.
Hi Keith, I’m happy if I can help!
I miss Saab, it’s like a second skin to me 😅! But it’s starting difficult to keep here in France, there’s no parts and you absolutely need a good tech2 to manage ! Where are you from?
Thanks for sharing! :) This is one of my dreams on my bucket list. I'll perform it in a Saab 9-5 sedan though :D
We almost bought a 9.5 in Sweden 🇸🇪 !
@@psv1600 Cool cars, this is my second one. The tech is similar to the 9-3, which you know so well :)
Hi Darren, thanks for your nice comment, yes it’s another car, that one we have since 2018. The v70 from Sweden 🇸🇪 will be for rent fully equipped for camping, and we will sell fully furnished after the season in November.
Very good! I like it! This is a different Volvo to the one you recently bought in Sweden? Right hand drive too? I look forward to more V70 adventures!
Me too but you should have the connector slot at the back
Is it compatible for hu-603?
Yes it is
@@psv1600 I don't have a CD changer in my car.
@@cengocemalinoglu5728 You don't need cd changer. This thing tricks your device thinking that you have one.

Very welcome 🤩🤩🤩
Looks very complicated. Lucky, I have my 850.
We are complicated people that’s why 🙃
Many people make the mistake of compairing the purchase price of ICE cars with electric cars, and they only look at new electric cars. however the cost of energy is very different so instead you have to see your monthly cost instead if an electric car is worth it or not. This means the car price (if you take a loan) ,service cost, fuel cost, tax cost etc. I live in an appartment but i can charge my car at work so for me it is worth it even if the car itself is more expensive to buy because that money is still there in the car itself and it is not blown out of the exhaust like an ICE car, so the car i can sell again and get some of that money back.
For you typically EV car could be a good deal, if the purchase is made with cleverness and reflection ! But the mass is the mass ( with all the respect I have in human beings), 80% or more of the EV buying will be made following trending, and it’s where is the trap… buying a 1500€ cellphone following trending and making mistake is one thing, but doing wrong with a 60/70000€ EV is another topic
@@psv1600 For most people who have access to cheap charging either at home or work etc an EV makes sence, but buying a new car makes no sence for most people. For example buying an used Kia e-niro that is 4 years old is very reduced in price and still 3 years warrenty left so it`s a very safe buy, and it has big enough battery to never feel range anxiety 64 kw/h. There are very few reasons today to buy an ICE car honestly. In norway they know this and very soon there will not be any ICE cars left on the roads of Norway. If it works for them then it works for the rest of us. I am not a green guy, but i love driving cheap and you can never drive cheaper then an home charged used EV.
I absolutely agree with that ! I’m exactly like you, I love to drive cheap ! I’m worry about the common sense of some EV buyer here in France. Obviously I’m not putting everyone on the same bag but globally EV drivers here follow the trend and not like you said, cleverness and reflection. Infrastructures are really far from what we saw in Sweden and I guess in Norway too. We can see many Tesla turning around here because it’s the only very good charging network, you can have one for about 500€/month in leasing, that’s the price of a “good” Megane, Golf, 3008 Peugeot ICE. The price of E85 is about 0.8€/liter and the Volvo we bought is 5000€. That make really sense for us. Before that I drove a Saab 9.3 aero tuned in E85 for 11 years. I paid 0,5 to 0,6€/l for almost during that time… We paid around 30€ by charges for 230km range in Sweden with the Skoda, that’s crazy expensive for the benefits we had in this car, it’s really not worth it !
Your pronunciation of Frankfurt wasn't bad at all. 😉 These overhead electric lines are part of a test route on which trucks are to be operated using pantographs. I'm not entirely sure, but ultimately the route between the motorway and the loading point is to be battery-powered and the batteries will then be charged again while on the motorway.
Thanks Karl for your comment, so I will learn German, my accent would be perhaps better than my English 😅! We never expected these lines to be for that but I must to agree that it’s a clever idea for the local trucking ! Thanks for the answer! Gruß 😃
Thanks Darren, it will be simple but comfortable! Our goal is always to be able to use the car as is made for, on less than 15mn ! 😊
