    Omg I had exactly the same idea a year ago and wondered how to implement it - it just ended up in my endless backlog of project ideas. It's super cool to see that you made it happen and also to see how "easy" it can be when you've gone through a very tough pain process 😂 Absolutely satisfying to watch as a data hoarder - we are just preparing for what the future holds for us, I am curious about what we might be able to do with it someday (especially health aspects and medical history), which can then be analyzed through data mining, unsupervised learning, etc. really nice job!

    My first impression is that it's a bit excessive, yes. I didn't finish the whole video, though. I'll watch the rest later. I AM curious about your Postgress use cases. I'm still new to databases bc it's not something I need to do on a daily basis. In any case, I always love nerdy stuff. Keep it up!

    I've been waiting for this video ever since your homelab tour! It was worth the wait, thank you so much for sharing your setup. I've been wanting to do the same. I already have Strava set up in my Grafana which runs on my Kubernetes homelab, and I also had the desire to create a comprehensive dashboard with all of my health data. Thank you for all the tips. Now that my zettelkasten cli is almost done, I have this winter's tinkering project cut out for me now. Especially the automated apple health export was a great find, I've been putting it off because I didn't want to export the data manually. Question, do you have to open the Oura app on your phone to sync the data, or does it sync in the background without any action from you?

  • @BryanJenks
    @BryanJenks8 сағат бұрын

    glad you enjoyed it! the oura data is solely through their API via web url, not their app at all, the data syncs from ring to phone to their back end and then the n8n job in the background runs the upsert syncing job on an interval with no action needed from me. the only part of this system that needs my interaction is the exporting of the file from strongapp :)

    Advice for for next vídeo: write down every single word you want to say, then copy it into perplexity, say it to make it shorter and clearer, and then read the results. I have a headache because of your bad form of explanation. Too vague, too disordered.

    does anyone know how to change the nth root of a radical in obsidian latex. Like, instead of doing a regular square root with \sqrt, how can I instead do a cube root (a radical with root 3) or a radical with root 4 and higher?

    Im used to not having friends. It doesn't even bother me. I am not social. I can only be friends one on one and not in groups and even that ends quick. At work my social interactions during the day are forced and me just trying to act like a normal person. Im totally stressed every single day and im so burnt out. I believe i have adhd at this point. But i never knew anything about it. I been going to the doctor for anxiety for a year. For some reason i always end up stopping to take my medication. It stresses me that i have to take it. Also i forget to take it often. Im so burnt out, i often think about taking my life but i cant do that to my kids and wife. I dont know how much longer i can do this. Im going to miss work tomorrow because i cant sleep.

    How do you even use mathjax? I've been trying to figure out how to color my equations for hours now, and the gitub page for the Extended Mathjax plugin gives nothing more than "Just put the file in your root folder". I have the same file in multiple folders with the plugin being pointed to one of them and I've tried them all.

    Thanks for the video! Most things and probllems you've described are things I struggle with, so watching this video made me feel a bit more seen (like I'm not alone in the struggles). I'm being assessed for ADHD for a while, and throughout that time my psychologist started suspecting Austism was also there. When she said that I didn't feel bad, because it made sense. Right now I still feel like I don't have things sorted, I still don't feel well; all from medication, diet, exercise and overall well-being, but I am actively looking for ways to improve, and videos like these really help!

    As the wife of an add husband who’s also the father to our two children just know: we suffer more from being with you than you suffer yourself from your condition. If I would have known what I signed up for in starting a family with this guy I would have rather shot myself in the face than going for it. Now it’s hell, chaos, neglect, danger and it’s all coming from him. He’s starting to make all of us mentally ill with his mess. Even though I know he doesn’t do it out of evilness, it’s just his disabled brain. The consequences are so real and severe though that it doesn’t matter anymore if he’s doing it intentionally or if it’s just because of his handicap.

One of the strengths of Scrintal is that it doesn’t have too many features, as you pointed out,, so it’s easy to sit down and start using.
