    Wow! This is the first convincing use of digital harmonica I hear. I cannot comment on the composition as I am a a mere neophyite. It sounds period correct is all I know. Nice playing, respecting the sounds the original instruments would produce. ❤

    One of my life goals is to figure out how to tongue block the splits to play the main melody and counterpoint on Bach's Little Fugue. I can do the main melody just fine, but every time I try to sit down and analyze the counterpoint my brain breaks. My Grandmother didn't like Bach. She used to say, "If you want to listen to music, listen to Bach. If you want to enjoy it listen to Mozart." I'm a Bach guy though. Beautifully played. Even my Grandmother might have liked that.

    Great playing. Particularly liked the harmonically adventurous vamp at the end. I know you are an expert diatonic overblower, so am curious what advantages - if any - you found by choosing a chromatic here. I am guessing that some of your lovely ornamentations may have been either impossible or vastly more difficult on diatonic.

  • @SandyWeltman
    @SandyWeltmanАй бұрын

    Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it. No advantage is really to playing it on a chromatic, just a different sound. I didn’t try it out, I do think this tune would subgrade on a diatonic as well if you played it in the right position. maybe I’ll give that a go sometime….

    Ce que je peux dire d'emblée c'est que j'aime beaucoup et que si c'est l'une de vos pièces favorites je n'en suis pas étonné. C'est riche de sonorités douces à l'oreille et pour une tonalité mineur, la mélancolie est une couleur qui ici interpelle et réveil tranquillement. Merci et bien entendu .... BRAVO !!!!😉

    Hey, thanks so much for the kind words. These days I mostly compose on harmonica, but I used to compose a lot on the banjo and ukulele. I make my own backing tracks from a program called Band In Box. You can really do some fun and creative stuff with them, cheers

    @@SandyWeltman Yes, I use Band-In-A-Box daily, great program. The only thing missing is that it doesn't listen to you, it's the boss! But great tool. One of these days AI will come up with the ability to listen and respond. Won't that be scary! Keep the joy flowing brother!
