What you said from 7:55-8:10 encapsulated everything I know about lighting. So this was really nice. I would love a follow up video where we watch you implement these ideas. Maybe take one scene and create a few different light setups. I mean, when you were talking about "setups," I was really curious what some good setups look like and how they differ in terms of what goes into making them. This was great!

Stunning. You and UE5 are a good match.

The other way to think about the intent (what is the main focus) is the phrase i heard from the @polygonrunway "Painting with light" - you don't have to make it realistic, or mimic real life - use it as a "brush" to focus and direct

I got a doubt how do you do to show the texture place and show the modifications in the scene, because just need that you didn't do anything to appear the texture?

Make sure to give udemy a "call" for unlocking 1080p, otherwise your customers will have a pleasant 720p experience Gl with the course. Hoping for a blender one in the future with all those addons you use :)

Thank you for making this video I had a go after watching by redoing lighting on other projects and it looked a lot better! Could you do a tutorial or some sort of video like this on fog or mist like in some of the examples like the one by huleeb at 13:09 and the others, I can find some tutorials but they don’t really explain how to change it or make it look more like the one I just put the time stamp for, I don’t really know how to describe it but like that one. Thanks!

This video is incredible I was okay with lighting but I always wondered why I couldn't improve and my renders doesn't look good. I found the reason now, I was lighting without any direction. I just wanted to make a quality renders that's all i thought of, with this video I can definitely take my lighting to next level. I just need to ask questions before lighting. Thanks a lot

Mist pass! Wow. What an eyeopener. I was rendering the z pass and wondering why it did not behave… One question, for this to work, there needs a fog volume in the scene, or not?
