BHP Bikes was set up by myself Danny because I am a complete petrol head and after a bit of a look around other motorcycle blogs, there was not a great deal for anybody to get excited about.
So what will you expect to see on BHP Bikes?
Well, we plan to bring you the latest information on new motorcycles from around the world with exclusive photos and videos along with as much information as we can.
On this site, you will see articles on merchandise we have tried and tested along with products that we are excited to test, and also we will let you know where the best places to buy these items from.
About Danny
I was born on 3rd November 1983, and I am a plasterer by trade, but I am now a full time blogger and have been since 2009.
I ride a BMW S1000XR and a Honda CRF250L

Did you do the long trail?
Dude, I had the same exact issue and I’m very happy I got the XR or the MT10. I love the fairings and windscreen and tbh everything better. I ride daily to work and I love not being blasted by the wind anymore. I love Yamaha but the electronics and brakes make the XR a clear choice to me.
where i can find the adapter for the exhaust heat shield plastic?? thank you
Except its not street legal
I think you have missed the whole point of this bike. It’s not to be ridden in heavy traffic, it’s for the open road or a track. Maybe stick to your jap bikes or learn how to ride a Ducati.
My screen crack on Tesco parking hot day... I hate on L model fat wide seat's I modified my spare seats about 7cm and do one piece. I hate two piece and stupidly removable always have problem to take off my rear seat's and front. Second hate plastics around rear seat's why is to wide
Hello Wherre did you got the Crash-Cage for the bike?
Was all going well until the wind noise sounded like a kettle boiling.. sorry had to turn off...😮
A loose nut riding it!!!
I'm 6'-6" tall...the 999 is so much more comfortable than any other supwrbike I've ridden to date. I also have a 99 ZX7R much more space on the DUC. Yours seems to have some carb issues, not ideal for making a youtube review...
I would have one but im unfortunately not adventure sized lol, im a nats under 5”6 but one of my pals has had one of the first in the uk and when i last saw him had covered 29 000 miles and not easy miles either he has maintained it himself from new and apart from things that he busted himself has only had to replace the headstock bearings which may have been a one off but they had expired by 10000 miles but having said that it has a hard life he rides a cbr 600 on sunny days but the Himmy is his commuter and he does real adventure on it its been through Europe and over the bump into spain and portugal and he toured france on it for 3 months , it has a dent or scratch on every panel but has never let him down of its own accord, it has serious off road ability too, not winning races but serious hillclimbing ability even loaded , and enough low rev thump to drag it through slippery trails, i hope this helps , 👍
Not man enough.. I loved my 999.. amazing bike..
This video should be named "Sunny sunday Chopper rider rides sportsbike and hates it".
So now it's past the 'can't comment' stuff. What happened with the BMW?
The frame powdercoat failed miserably and BMW refused to help... bit more too it than that but thats the crux of it
@@BHPBikesuk Get yourself up to Wickham and see the state of the demo Triumphs, they're shocking. It annoys me how there's so much hate on Japanese yet they're so much more reliable and my Tracer 7 has got 15k all year miles on it now and hasn't missed a beat. No real corrosion either. At least half the price of an XR. I had much the same treatment for my HD from DG20 - ended up hating and resenting the bike due to the dealership. The problem is I'd bought it outright and lost way too much to trade it in. Euro bikes are nothing more than 3 year 2000 mile PCP toys it seems now.
Fast forward to 8 min. Announcer is sheeeeeite. Wow. All that knowledge by the rider and they didn’t prepare for him to speak?
Defo the rider on this one
What’s Boxhill like pal? 🤜
How tall ru ?
6ft 4
@@BHPBikesuk was it pretty cramped ?
Put a microphone on the rider. Can’t hear him. I’m sure he passed along great info.
Got rid of a bike because turning a knob was too much..... hahahaha
Where was this meet and does it happen every year?
Manufacturing tourers or sport tourers without a factory cruise control should be illegal.
I don’t understand you got done for illegal number plates? What was illegal about them?
This video is a Gem!
I think every ducati ever made would suck if you rode them like that ;)
Got to love the chap that hates the wind on a motorcycle.
Good review. My one question about the performance is from a set of lights. If you filter to the front, will it easily leave all the cars behind? Or will you be holding people back?
hmmmm I don't think you will be holding up traffic... It wont set the world on fire but its ok
@@BHPBikesuk ok. I understand it’s not fast. I’m ok with that. My first bike had 24 hp. But it weighed 260lbs. And I was ~50 lbs lighter. I just don’t want to slow down traffic
@@victorvannatter312 I dont think you will... test ride one :D I am doing another test ride in a couple of months for a bit longer than an hour :d
@@BHPBikesuk ya I’d like to. Dealer is 4 hours away unfortunately
Nice review. I own one here in the US and loving it. Mostly daily commuter right now but plan on on longer trips here in the near future. Steering issue is probably the big 21inch tire or tyre 😉. Im in Florida which can get very humid and haven't had issues with fogging. Also have the DNA air filter which helps it breathe better. A great bike for what it is. Going to be my back road explorer. Cheers!
Sounds like wasps are a bad thing? Do they force out the bees?
They attack teh hive for the honey and teh bees defend it. The bees numbers shrink then the colony becomes weak and the winter then wipes them out.
Where do you purchase all your mods?
So, do you have an impressive?
An impressive?
@@BHPBikesuk sorry typed too fast, a impression ?
@@charlesludwig9173 Well I liked it.. but I think the suspension was far too soft and it still felt like the bike was pushing me over the handlebars a bit too much... much like my old 250L... I would be tempted to buy one but I recently rode a Royal Enfield Himmy and I like that a lot more... video coming soon :D
@@BHPBikesuk I ordered a 300L which is now on its way to my local Honda Powersports Store. Others in running were a CB500X, a KTM 390 Adventure, and a BMW GS310. What sold me on the Honda was its lighter weight which I believe I can better control at low speed. It’s much more important to me than concern over a soft suspension, since the bike will never be on a single track trail. Mostly urban commuting and scenic highway use with occasional use off paved road (dirt and gravel roads) in wilderness and ghost town areas of Eastern Kentucky.
@@charlesludwig9173 I think you will love it then :D
terrible commentary, just useless waffle.
Dude! Sent it..
haha peer pressure.. after the weekend my elbows and wrists were sore...
If off-roading a lot you definitely need other shocks
I have uprated the fork springs and about to do the fork mod as well.... I will replace the rear shock when they come in stock
Had the same issue as you, i ended up with a 2017 MT-10, as a must you need the comfort saddle, the stock one is like a plank, added also screen panniers and top box, if your wife is tall you will need the mt-09 passenger pegs supports, it will help her a lot. Regarding milage i get between 240-250 km on a tank which for me is more than enough, i would always take a break after 250 km to stretch my legs. I also test drove the 1000 xr, it's a good bike but it will never give you the thrills as the cp4 of the Mt-10, buy the MT-10, you will not regret it.
They coming to the abr rally pal
We were there in 2022 and we are booked for 2023 :D
@@BHPBikesuk yeah I know we had a few beers with you, got everyone talking about groms on the off road
@@markbailey3027 AHhhhh :D :D :D we have a lot of videos from ABR :D I am just way way way behind on them... I drank a lot over that weekend as well :D
I have a old 92 r 100 gs did some of those they look intemedating because of their size but they are so balance believe it or they are so wonderful i love my bike !
Exactly the type of riding I plan on doing with my new grom
Well you may just fall in love with this channel then...
What are those exhausts?
Wow! Such a big tall bike can be really intimidating to an average sized person. He made it look so easy and stressed not to panic. I've always had cruisers. But want to transition into Adventure. One time in my life I was some what of a ski bum and a lot of the same techniques used on ski slopes when you have fallen and need to get up (lean into the hill). Do you, or anyone you know, have these classes in Medellin Colombia or anywhere in Colombia? Thanks kindly great video!
The GS isn't particularly tall and compresses a lot when you are on it. The Africa twin for example, with proper off road suspension is way taller.
Worst voice.... Pl re-shoot it..
There is a $30 spoiler windscreen over amazon and it solves it. Everybit of the bike is damn amazing. I have the 2022 and even more when the rev limiter removed, its absolute monster for a sport touring bike
I can understand all you Said but cant understand , how you dont like the sound of xr 😅😅. Especially after 6000 there is an extra sound like m1000rr. I love that sound
Is it the base model? What price range?
Ganda ng motor,pangmayaman,mamahalin yan
I wish I had one GS to try at home.
"got to watch it round here everyone's old!" you're either in Worthing or Bognor Regis haha
Felpham
It does have a nice sound.
Would have been nice to have seen it.
Love this road, living in Hampshire it's my go to day out fir a blast. Considering a S1000XR and have been watching your review 🤔 should I or shouldn't I, thoughts?
I would not buy another BMW if I could Help it.... The last few months of ownership were hell and BMW are not a good company to deal with
