  Great piece - thank U, Just Sim, Baby. Of all of the ferocious battles in the legendary Steelers v. Raiders rivalry of lore, this big-time ass-whipping of the Oakland Raiders by the Pittsburgh Steelers would be THE last game Al Davis would ever see. He would pass away less than a year after this game was played --- and many familiar with the ferocity of this white hot rivalry knew just how much Al hated and resented the Pittsburgh Steelers. In fact, he obsessed over them and despised them so much that he insisted the Raiders Super Bowl XI rings be engraved so as to feature the score of the Raiders AFCCG victory over the Steelers in the playoffs that ensued following the NFL's 1976 regular season. Al's Steeler obsession started with the Immaculate Reception game and then really deepened after Pittsburgh broke the Raiders in the 1974 and 1975 season AFCCGs to go on to become their habit of collecting Lombardis. I wonder what was going through Al's head when this 35-3 world class beatdown played out. Keep in mind the Steelers had just come off being the first team to win 6 Super Bowls following the 2008 season and would win the AFCCG in 2010 to lose another narrow Super Bowl to the Packers.

  The Jets were relevant for a short time under Rex Ryan. They were a competitive team to watch from 2009-10.

  Even after this season they remained relevant. 2016-2021 they became a dumpster fire again. Let’s see what the Rodgers era holds for us in 2024 after just 5 minutes last season P.S: Good to hear from you again! Hope you’re doing well

  How do the Redskins go from beating the Broncos (who started 6-0) the week prior to holding a team to 7 points and still losing? 2009 was really one of- if not the worst year for the Redskins.

  The 2010 skins were a good team to pkay with in madden 11, 89 overall Donovan McNabb, clinton portis, santana moss, chris cooley. Its too bad virtual sucess doesnt translate to real life sucess

  the 2010 Redskins were one of those teams that seemed good on paper (or at least in Madden) McNabb, Santana Moss, Clinton Portis, Chris Cooley, on the surface it seemed like this team could actually do something, especially with the hype around hiring Mike Shannahan.
