Very helpful tutorial. I’ve got three of these to make in autumn and winter. I’ve not used a sewing machine in a very long time, so please 🤞🏽for me 😬

The video is really nice. Can you show the stitching little slowly to understand easy.

I wish you would slow down the video to normal speed to show what you are doing. At the end where you’re cutting with the pinking shears, it’s just a blur and not easy to know what you’re doing

Absolutely agree about not making anything that should be regulated for the baby's safety! No matter how careful or crafty I am, I'd much rather have the reassurance of something tested and approved for market especially for sleep like the swaddles, sleeping bags, and cot covers 😮‍💨 Also for reusable diapers, but that's just because it seems so technical to get all of the supplies for the different layers 😅

This turned out so cute! Easy to follow along with! Hardest park for me was adding the extra 1.5 cm to the brim. Thanks so much!

Have just bought this pattern and I am a plus size, love the waist adjustment you made and agree a slightly lower neckline would be better, so I think I will do that when I make mine up.

Thank you so much for all of this information. My son and partner are expecting in January. It's such a long time since I had babies (36-38 years!!) and there are now so many different products on the market and safety measures that I have really enjoyed watching what's good to make and what's not. Saved me a lot of time and effort. Thanks again x

If you haven’t made, or considered, here is a simple but useful idea. I made “bibs” for my school age children, a hundred years ago.😸 I used them any time they were already dressed for going out but still needed to eat. We made them fun, used a hand towel and fun fabric, and a bit of Velcro. The kids at first didn’t like the idea, but quickly realized it removed the stress of dropping food on their outfit and having to change clothes when time was tight. These “bibs” are useful to anyone who drops food or spills their beverage due to any mobility impairment.

With my first baby I was gifted a sling. I found it a good idea, but it was too big, my babies were all six pounders. So with baby three I sat down and designed and built one on a smaller scale. It was so useful! They are the best hands free or nearly free device on the market. I made mine with a woven scrap and found really inexpensive, strong plastic rings, so almost free. My “baby” turns thirty in two weeks, there are so many things now we didn’t have then. I really like those grocery store basket cover things, not having to worry about trying to clean those would be nice. And car seats are so much easier to manage, I like the idea of the ones that snap into a stroller frame, but have not used one to see if they work well in practice.

Appreciate the tutorial but do you really need to put certain parts of the tutorial in fast mode? It made it difficult to see what you were doing and making my head spin too. And you were talking so fast that I couldn’t follow what you were saying. I probably need to see the tutorial many times before I can understand better. Thanks anyway

The blue flowered dress of yourself is a very lovely one and looks great on you. Also the kind of fabric seems to be a cotton. ❤ (I agree to you on the high neckline of the Apparel dress, a bit for little girls)

Hello, I'm facing the same issue with sleeves slipping off the shoulder. Thank you for telling how to fix it by shortening the elastic length, but the elastic I previously used was only an eighth of an inch long. How much should I adjust it now, considering I'm sewing the dress for someone else? Additionally, I don't have elastic for the neckline; instead, I've done shirring on it. What should I do in this case?

I love all your makes and I'm finally getting time to make a few. Do you wash your ribbon material first before adding them to the taggy toy? I'm concerned about the dyes coming off in my Grandbabies mouth. 😮

Thanks so much for this tutorial. It's one of the best I've seen in prep for making my first ever quilt - a baby blanket out of hubby's worn out button up shirts. I'm about to sew the middle and back layers, and wanted to ask (or reconfirm rather) - you didn't sew the inside layer separately, right? Does it not bunch up ? Thanks
