The lighter weight cardstock is in part due to a few key reasons for scrappbookers. A lighter weight cardstock helps the weight of your albums. It also is more easily punched for decorative elements using all of CM’s fantastic punches and border makers.
Absolutely makes sense, and I was wondering the same thing! I’ll have to test out the border maker system with various cardstock. 😃
I think the best thing about repositionable tape is that you can easily use it on items that you might otherwise have to use glue because adhering tape runner would be too tedious. Laser cut embellishments for example. With the repositionable tape, you just run it across and it only sticks to the embellishment and doesn’t deposit tape in the holes.
Great tip! I’ll have to try that out 😁
I do use a number of CM products but absolutely feel they have the very best albums.
Their albums are simply above the rest!
I love CM's repositionable tape.
I know it will definitely come in handy. I’m always needing to move things around on cards or pages!
Glad to see the CTMH 6x6 page protectors in this release. Hoping Stampin Up continues to carry.
Agreed!
Looking forward to this release. I use the D ring binder like you, since I scrapbook non chronologically. Then I put the layouts in order when I transfer to CM Album (always the best in my opinion). I love using CTMH 6 X 6 albums as gifts with remade layouts for new mothers or memory books of special occasions. And the Summer Gnomes!!!
I love that idea, how wonderful of a gift for a new mom! Yes the summer gnomes are super cute- I’m pretty excited about getting my hand on them!
A CTMH customer with a a CTMH registered email can buy the SU! from ANY Demo including SU folks. It will be just like Paper Pumpkin - if the customer is NOT a subscriber who enter their qualified email they cannot place past kits in their cart. It is the same with CTMH products.
Thanks for the clarification! 😁
I only use Creative Memories Albums and although I have purchased the CTMH small pocket inserts for the strap albums I prefer the Creative Memories 12 x 12 pockets because they are top loading.
I do like the ease of top loading but definitely like the price point better with the CTMH page protectors, gatta love a good deal. 😃
This was very helpful
Glad you found it helpful! 😁
Creative Memories does top loading sleeves as well :) I have and use both in my lovely CM albums.
Thanks for letting me know!
Welcome to Stampin’ Up😊
Thank you 😊
I'm not sure I'd want to be aligned with SU... The owner's daughter is going on trial for hiring a hitman for her ex husband's murder... They bought her a MILLION dollar house out of the state she lived in for her to flee to to hide from the police, they are also withholding visitation of their SHARED grandchildren with their other bio grandparents. Not really the kind of group of people I'd want to be associated with.
@amandamorris9324, do you mind sharing where you got this information from?
In your “Mini Boss” mini embossing machine you might try and use plate 3 instead of 1 if you are having any trouble …. Some machines are tighter than others. Welcome to SU
Thanks for the tip!
Beautiful pages
Thank you!😊
Love it!
Thanks! 😊
Welcome to stampin up! A lot of demos add a magnetic sheet to the inside of the stamp case and store the dies there… keep the original packaging for selling at a later date…
Great idea, thanks for the tip!
FYI.. I also put one of the non-English stickers on the back of my ink pad in case the back is facing towards me
Good idea!
Great video thanks
Thank you!😊
Welcome to Stampin Up. I'm a demonstrator in Australia, and I for one am very excited about the blending of CTMH with SU. I love your choice of products from SU too. I have them and can honestly say they're really versatile.
Agreed! This blending of companies is going to be amazing, very excited for the future!
Is this kit/suite available now? I’m not finding it
It’s unfortunately on back order until the week of May 13th, definitely a popular item!
Thanks for the great information! I’m a CTMH scrapbooker and was happy to hear about the four kits that will be offered in the fall! I’m anxious to see how Stampin Up will incorporate scrapbooking into their lines.
I’m so excited to see the 4 new suits/kits for scrapbooking this fall especially since sticker sheets will be included! 😁
Welcome to Stampin' Up!
Thank you!
What if we had both a Maker from CTMH and a SU demonstrator.. how do we choose? Do we get a choice?
If you’re referring to the ability to sell the CTMH products from May-Aug that’s only for former CTMH Makers who join in April.
This is an above and beyond generous opportunity! I've been a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! for over 20years. Welcome to all the new 'makers' making the move to demonstrator!
I agree, speaks volumes of the company’s integrity!
We're so happy you've joined us at SU!! What fun we'll all have! PatriciaD
Can’t wait to see the new goodies, even if I have to wait till fall!
Welcome to SU! Can’t wait to see more of what you create 💕
Aww thanks! 😊
As a customer of both companies, I too believe this is the best of both worlds. I scrapbook and make cards.
It’s really going to be a great mix!
I’m sure you CTMH « makers »…is that the correct term?…Will blend both of your wonderful sets of products for the Ultimate Experience! Enjoy!
Absolutely 😊
Lots f interesting information here. Welcome!
Thank you! 😊
Isther3 a way to give input on items of SU or CTMH. Ink pad change from SU to CTMH? Just saying 😀
Lots of people are asking for that switch, time will tell.
Sorry that was such a jumble of errors! Guess you were able to un-jumble lol. Thanks yes we shall see
I prefer the CTMH shammy 😀. Also like their ink container better also very user friendly I can’t open SU inks 😢. TFS looking forward to this merger 😀
Lots of people prefer the CTMH ink pads. I tend to agree they are much easier to open. We shall see what the future holds! 😁
I have been told that if you run vasaline along the inside of the case then it will slide easier, soap would probably do the same thing as we used to use in on the side of our drawers in days gone by, also lip salve is another thing to use as it is vasaline based.
I think clover looks like your Garden Green. What do you think?
Garden green (to me) is more of a true green and Clover has a tint of blue
Thank you for that tip. I will need that. Signup is next week for me and I’m beginning to excited❤😊
Welcome to SU!
Welcome to Stampin’ Up! I love your genius tip about the glue dot on the ribbon!!!!
I saw someone else do it on a video years ago and had to share! Sometimes it's the simplest solutions that are the best.
Welcome to Stampin‘ Up! I‘m a german demonstrator and I love Scrapbooking! I can‘t wait to see all the new scrapbooking ideas and products that Stampin‘ Up! will offer due to Close To My Heart. I‘m very thankful for all the new inspirations from Close to My Heart! Have a great start with Stampin‘ Up!
Thank you so much! It's going to be an amazing adventure and I'm excited to see the scrapbooking line in SU products.
I am a current Stampin’ UP! Customer and I am thrilled they are going to offer the 12x12 in individual colors!!!I’m a card maker and love to make larger fun folds, so this is great news. Great video! I’m so happy for you!!
We hope/think they are going to offer the 12 x 12 in individual colors, but that has not been confirmed yet.
@@amandadelongchamp3599 Thanks…I guess I heard what I wanted to hear. Lol. I so hope they do! I will definitely purchase them.
If you watch the Stampin' Up! Transition: products and policies video that was sent to demos on 4/2/24 Cori mentions that they are looking into the configuration of the 12 x 12 and it will not just be assortment packs offered. They understand the need for individual colors.
@@CraftDiva45 Thanks so much for the additional info. ❤
I just saw the cutest Easter card. I guess it’s a January stamp of the month set. It’s called Sweet Little Things. Cutest bunnies ever! Is there a site to purchase retired CTMH stamps?
There are some buy, sell, trade groups on Facebook for retired CTMH products, or Ebay is usually a good spot to check.
And may I recommend Kelly Taylor videos for learning alcohol markers coloring? She is not SU but she is amazing! The Wink of Stella SU carries is the clear. But Wink of Stella is available in other colors online. You are simply amazing in how fast you are learning!
Aww thank you. I will have to check her out. It's one of my goals to learn how to color with alcohol markers.
Thank you for sharing this haul and all your info on what is coming up!! My sign up date is next week - so excited!!!
You are so welcome! Welcome to SU :)
Wow so excited that Stampin' Up! and CTMH made a deal. My first card making was with CTMH. Thanks for Sharing
Absolutely, glad you found it helpful!
Welcome to SU.
Thank you!
So, If I buy a Stampin Up ink pad of its new color this year, basically its only good for two years! Sorry, but I just can't afford to buy ink that is not usable after two years.
Just the "in-colors" are available for 2 years. It's very similar to CTMH's color of the year, but they introduce 5 new colors.
@@CraftDiva45 Oh, that's good. CTMH also introduces about 5 new colors annually, but they are kept several years--not sure how long.
Actually, in addition to Close to My Heart's annual Color of the Year, it annually introduced about 5 new colors and retired roughly 5 old colors. It's new colors stayed on, I think, for much more than two years.
Yup, both companies change things up to keep the color pallet fresh!
Thank you, that explained a couple of things I was unsure of. Especially colour comparisons.
Glad you found it helpful! 😊
Very helpful. Thank you.
Glad you found it helpful! 😊
Thank you for this video.
Absolutely, glad you found it helpful!
Impressive!
Thank you, glad you found it helpful!
Can you post the colors so we can print out the matches?
I added the color comparisons to the description, hope that helps! 😊
Thank you for this! Excited for May 1st!
Absolutely! 😊
Very pretty!! Love your older coffee stamp sets! Brandy is great. ❤❤❤
Thank you. I agree she’s the best, very inspired by her work!
