I do not have a specific genre of craft that I do and basically dabble in many different forms of craft work. I do steer away from drawing and painting because my passion is more in construction and assembly (aka I can't draw).

I actually like the paper under the clear textured seal and detailed with the gold, I find it very pretty. Does that gold dry and not come off onto your fingers?
Yes, it dries :)

Thank you for your support! It really means the world to me 💕 and hopefully I’ll be able to upload more consistently again! I typically purchase from a Chinese platform but they only ship within Asia. My local store (the one in the description link) sells a variety of supplies too but they only ship locally at the moment. I believe the gold cream is more widely available, potentially internationally! It’s called Bortoletti 😊
Also, I just saw another KZreadr show to keep your stamp heads sitting on a gel ice pack before putting on glue and then let them cool in the glue and they release easily. Thought I’d share. I did hear you mention the ice pack, but I meant for those that didn’t get how. 😊

Can you tell me where you bought the pad?
I bought it from a Chinese website so I’m not sure what it’s called, it’s also sold by a store in Singapore but they only ship locally at the moment. Alcohol works just as well though! The pad I use contains alcohol as well 😊
@themellieway Thank you for replying. I have been using AD Tech glue stick, but it is not as clear as yours. I thought your hot pad had something to do with it.
@christellaofchelshire aah, I see! I do notice that glue sticks tend to not be as clear and/or they yellow over time… The rods I used in this video are very similar to glue sticks but for some reason, they don’t! I’m not sure where they can be purchased in other parts of the world though

IThis looks so cool! I finally found the transparent wax crayons from the video, at the Nex&Co store on Amazon. I picked some flowers and made transparent stamps to put on the gift. They're so clear and pretty!

I hadn’t tried making seals using glue sticks because the glue sticks I have are those that yellow overtime, so I didn’t want to 😂 but if you’re able to get glue sticks that don’t turn yellow once aged, they’re quite similar!

Love your tips for wax seals. What is the name of the stuff you use to help it not to stick and where do you get it? You supply link doesn’t work. 🤔🤷🏼♀️
Sorry! The link is outdated and I’ve updated it. I’m not sure what it’s called, I got it from a Chinese site and they just call it a non-stick agent. It contains alcohol and I’ve seen crafters use alcohol instead and it works just as well!

I loved this❤ I like how you kept in the part where the the wax clung to the seal! It shows a reality that it isn’t perfect every single time! Question, what if I have a ceramic coaster?? Will that be a bad choice?
Thank you! I’ve personally never used a ceremonial coaster for wax stamping before so I can’t say for sure whether it’ll be a bad choice. If it has a glossy surface (it’s been covered with varnish or glaze), then it’s likely that the wax will cling to the coaster. I would also imagine that wax would cling to a ceramic coaster that hasn’t been glazed 🤔 You could do a drip test, just put a small drip of wax onto the coaster and see if it’s easy/difficult to peel off. Hotter wax tends to cling even more so do take note of the temperature as well when you do it :)

I see your glue gun drips as well. I don’t like when that happens but I have two different brands (low temp) and they both do it but not as fast as this one does. So, I guess it’s just part of the process. :(
Yeah :) If you don’t want it to drip, you gotta get to know your glue gun so you can time when to turn it off before it starts dripping. But it will still more or less happen 😝
Yeah, we don't have that anti-stick stuff here in America yet... Sure hope we get it soon! lol
I heard rubbing alcohol works! Hadn’t tried it out yet but I plan to do it in a later chapter 😁
These are spectacular! How do you keep the wax from hardening while adding the additional bits of wax? Could it be that the wax I am using (from Amazon) is the reason they harden so quickly? If so, what should I look for in buying the wax that hardens slower? Thank you for any guidance you can give me. As for music or no music, I say include it and if I don’t care for it I will just mute it. 😊
Thank you!! It’s a little difficult to pinpoint exactly what’s the issue without seeing the wax and process, but I can share with you some things to look out for :) I do have a stamp school series that you may find helpful, the videos are a bit long so you might want to watch the chapters at 1.25 or even 1.5 speed 😂 I go very in-depth about different things to look out for while wax stamping and in your case, I think the main reason for why your wax hardened might be the surface you pour you wax onto and the way the wax is melted. It’s important to know your environment and wax when it comes to wax stamping and there are many things you can do to work around them :) do take a look at the coaster chapter, different coasters have different cooling speeds. And chapter 3, the one on how to use wax beads. I will also be doing a chapter to explain the technique I showed in this video in detail, but that’s still some way down the road 😁 Hope this helps!

What is the powder you are using to color with?

It’s a highlighting cream :) I used a cheaper version from China but the best kind I’ve used so far is the Bortoletti gold highlighting cream 😁 they also have it in silver Alternatively, I also use metallic markers to colour in my wax seals. I’ll be doing a chapter on the different ways to highlight wax seals for my Wax Stamp School series 😁 do stay tuned! I’ll be able to explain better in the video than in text
It’s a cream 😊 It doesn’t need to be sealed, it just needs to be set aside to dry, and once dried, it doesn’t come off easily :) Or you can also choose to use paint markers/metallic markers to highlight your wax seals! I’ll be filming a chapter all about the different ways to highlight wax seals somewhere down the road, once I get my laptop fixed 🤣

Does regular candle wax work
That’s a great question! Unfortunately no, candle wax is much too soft and greasy for wax seals to form properly :) the candle wax will cling to the stamp and it’s a nightmare to clean off!

Are you referring to spoons made of silicone? I wouldn’t recommend using any material other than metal spoons because of the heat involved in melting the wax :) Other materials may release toxic fumes or melt away and we don’t want that! 😱😭

Can you tell me what kind of pens you use to highlight the raised parts? The ones I try bead up on the wax.
Hi! I used regular water based markers in this video :) The ink bead up on the seals too if I’m not careful, just like when I use paint markers. I find it useful to wipe off any excess ink on the marker tip before colouring the wax seals to prevent the ink from seeping onto the background

It is true I am 68 years old and I have gotten burn in the kitchen a lot and that's what my family and I do.
