This guy should read the whole book before investigating and discussing only one tiny fact from the book. Germany did not invade and occupy Baltic states or attacked Finland or Romania. It was Soviet Union. Stalin had many times said the the Communism needs to be spread to West by all possible means. Soviets invaded Poland after WW1 and then again together with Hitler in 1939. Soviets wanted to attack the Germany when it was fighting with Britain it was a perfect timing for Stalin as he already predicted the capitalist West would fight each other.

This make sense. Historians have been head scratching why so many women voted for the nazis. It hasn't been all that clear why, so this video certainly do shed some light on what might have been the reason for this.

There are no good arguments against big statism in WW-like conflicts. Almost anyone except some ultra-ultra-libertarians would agree that the powerful government will always defeat a decentralized Mahno-like army in the end. The purpose of classical Prussian-style school education is to create a nation of effective workers and warriors with the same basic skills & unified language. That's why the early Soviet Union was so good at basic education. They wanted to build a world-scale communist state

Mentioning Caesar's fascia of pilums as well as severe protestant antisemitism since Luther would have completet the 50 shades between centralisation of power and antisemitism. Many nation show off their fascias omnipresent and if you argue left or right, you already accepted total socialism that leads to prognomic fascism and would like to bring in last wishes. Left and Right socialism are not opposites, but just two seperate ways in the same direction.

Just to add to the Lend Lease argument. There's a journal floating around that catalogs the materials sent to the USSR. In short, the red army's equipment was built with American raw materials, in factories designed by Americans, with tools shipped from America, transported with trucks from America, to soldiers who were fed and clothed from America. Anybody saying the USSR was the main contributor to WWII is arguing dishonestly. The USSR would not have been able to field an army a fraction of the size it did without lend lease, and would likely have collapsed. I also am not arguing the USA was the most important power either, many people were needed to defeat the Germans and Russia supplied that immense manpower. Britain also contributed the intelligence, key technologies, secured important resources, and ensured the Germans had no safe front to focus on Russia. Without any of the three powers, WWII would not have been won by the allies.

Another example of the Nazis losing the war because they're Nazis. In other words, their socialism , being a false economic system, it worked against the efficient use of limited resources.

Did any one notice that the references on the bombing of Dresden were all written by English men? And yes, David Irvine's book on Dresden got him into so much trouble, that he was effectively erased as a historian. As for me, I happened to be in Dresden after the Wall came down. While the center of the Old Town was rebuilt with communist style silos, damaged buildings were left standing on the edge of city. I shared this fact with an American historian and i was told that this was the Russian way of saying "what we have given you is better than what you had". Will we ever learn

While all is fair in love and war, its worth mentioning the following. There was a German documentary on the bombing of Dresden about 3 decades ago which i now cant find. Below are a few take aways from it. What I cant understand is how the casualty rates get so reduced with time. Dresden was bombed with an experimental incendiary called napalm. It burns at 800-1000 C. Steel, stone, bone and glass disintegrate at 750 C. Dresden had a population of 500,000 and was then flooded with an estimated further 500,000 refugees fleeing the Russian advance into Schlesia 2 weeks before. When you suck the air out of a city with furnace like temperatures, even those in cellars were not going to survive. The napalm experiment was next to used to Tokyio. The is no right or wrong in this. But please, lets retell history as it was.

7:20 fatal and almost childish thinking error. Making peace with Britain while the Brits and Germans barely fought one another would be possible. One side wasn't 'the winner' over the other and they could white peace without humiliation. Making peace while one side got a hundredthousand dead, woundend or captured would not have been possible. Britain would have surely fought till the end and not made a humiliating peace deal. The people wouldn't accept that. Hitler stopt at Dunkirk because it was the only and last possibility for peace in Europe. Churchill denied peace and made the UK lose its superpower status.

Dialectical manipulation is easy to understand. Really easy. Just this one thing: In every decision in the human brain moral feelings and moral judgment are involved. Moral values and moral feelings make decision-making possible. If a person is demoralized (usually by abusing moral judgment) decision-making becomes impossible. Dialecticians are making moral issues from everything. Even from 2+2. This way the mind is overstimulated by moral judgments. Simple as that. This condemning language is hallmark if manipulatiry speech. New Atheists are doing the same thing and the majority of sectarian movements also use this tactic. After prolonged overstimulation of moral judgment you are brainwashed. You are lost in the maze of moral issues, unable to think for yourself and slaved to priests. That's why only people constantly condemned by Jesus in gospels are moralizers. Not sinners. Isn't that interesting? 🤔

My granduncle was serving in the Hungarian Army during WW2. From what i know he unfortunately perished holding the Don River. I would love to know more, but i just don’t know where to start. It seems information on this period for Hungary is rather limited. If others have managed to chase down details on their family archives from either of the major wars, please point me in the direction to start looking.

i agree with basically everything you said - that's why i disagree with the general classification of national socialism as socialism "... it is distinctive enough [from fascism] to be rightfully classed as a seperate idiology" - THAT's the main point - and it goes for facsism AND socialism
