@SpiceKitchen293 ай бұрын
Hello, thank you for stopping by. To answer your question yes, you can still grow 😀. Basically your veggie plants need 5-6 hours of sunlight. If your balcony is west or south facing you can grow your veggies. Happy gardening 🧑🌾

Next time u do this remove some of the roots and tease them a little you don't want the roots in the same squashed pot shape I actually will trim a bit of the roots if it looked like this 👍 gives the plant a fresh start just like the branches or leaf's you cut the roots can also be trimmed

You should remove the existing soil on your Hoya to see if there’s a node or any root system on that heart. Then repot if there is! If you see none after removing ALL the soil, the leaf won’t grow into a full plant.

Question: I have a scheflerra actinofolia I've had for about 5-6 years first four years or so it grew beautifully. But the last year or so all of the new leaves don't spread out like fans as they normally would. They come out folded back on their stems and stay that way. What is wrong with it and can I remedy the problem?

All you growers that frequently mention humidity never mention the idea percentage of humidity which tells me you really don't know how much is required and are just repeating what someone else said in their video. The humidity gauge can be purchased cheaply you know.

I live in Victoria Australia, our umbrella plant is close to 40yrs old and was planted when the home was built. It sits in full sun, north facing wall, with summer temps in the low 40C and winters as low as -3C. It gets a regular pruning and is an extremely healthy bushy plant standing around 5 feet. The bed it is in, is a raised bed about 2 feet by 1 foot with a depth of around 16 inches. This is built on concrete. We generally prune in autumn and take it back between 2 to 3 feet and then shape prune as required. There are several branches that are greater than 40mm in diameter. I get good results from growing autumn cuttings from first year wood, simply take an angled cut, remove all but a single leaf set, dip in growth hormone and place into dampened peat moss. Sit back and wait. You will get new leaf growth prior to root growth. I am currently experimenting with growing various plant cuttings in water containers (hydroponically), and currently seem to be having great success.
