digidayfilms

digidayfilms is a small digital video making company that is part of a graphic design agency by another name. I was first learning and creating animated graphic videos and self promotional content here to use as portfolio pieces in a multi-media commercial video and film portfolio.

Now I am doing drone flight film videos, and many of those videos are on their way to my channel.

Thanks so much for watching now and in the future...

    In the early 80's as a young teenager, I would ride in a huge Mack out of Canada with a family beekeeper friend for a week every April (3 years in a row). We had the Mack and two other rigs going. We were picking up honeybees in Yuba City CA for back up in Alberta. Would spend two days or so down there relaxing before taking off back to Alberta. Now Pantyhose Junction was the most awesome thing, remember this was the great 80's. We'd always stop there on the trips. The waitresses were really nice always dressed to kill and the women cleaning windows, checking oil and fueling up the rigs were exactly the same 😎👍was one helluva a great place and definitely a awesome experience for a teenager 🙂

    Some decades ago there was a theory called the Saturn Centerfuge theory that stated that Saturn was in the middle of a planetary collapse which increased its spin so much that at different points in the collapse the spin increased enough to cancel out the force of gravity at its equator, thus leaving a ring behind as Saturn continued to collapse and is still collapsing. Saturn spins so fast that even its shape is stretched at it equator so much that Saturn is shaped more like a curling ball than a standard ball. Is this theory still considered as a serious theory?

    Thank you so much "Music Lover". I have not replied here for so long... so thanks too for getting me to log on and look back at some of the other comments that I forgot to reply to. It is cool to know people are still looking back at this music-graphics video I made over 8 years ago and enjoying it. Jeff Lynne is one of my all time favorites. It would be cool if Jeff Lynne himself could see this video and post what he thought about it, but I'm not sure how to go about getting a message to him exactly. I have an Elton John music and animated graphics video made for "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" that was a ton of work to create too, like this ELO music video was. If you get a chance, take a look at that one too... I'd sure like to have Elton John see it and post what he thinks of it... check the link below... vimeo.com/32604352 The Elton John music video linked above was removed from KZread for music copyright stuff after first being here for years after I posted it... that video removal is somewhat arbitrary it seems, since so many of my other videos with popular music used in them go untouched... so the link above to that video is on VIMEO.com ... they never block or remove any videos there. Be sure to watch it with the HD setting on. It is a little strange now, doing mostly drone flight-film videos for my newest stuff here... still put to popular music, though. After doing experimental motion graphics videos for so long, it is a bit of a departure, but fun... check some of those drone flight-films that are the newest videos on this channel if you get a chance... besides the Elton John video linked above. Thanks again, "Music Lover" digiday films

Some people on the internet are just extremely board, angry, and bitter, like in any other part of life, I guess... ya know? I appreciate your reply... if you like this video, which was the first San Francisco history video I did, then take a look at the other San Francisco history videos on my channel at the links below... they are kind of stylized theme SF history videos that are put to music. They are very graphically driven, and it took months for each video to be produced. I was a little obsessed at times making these. I think I wanted to see if I could make something work in Adobe Premiere (video creation app) so then I would take the time to figure it out, and then something else, and so on... Thanks again! Hi Derek... I happened to be online right when your question was posted and I got an email about it. To answer you question... this video is also posted with the audio and music in tact on Vimeo.com at this link... vimeo.com/23674456 KZread removed the audio from my "CFATBDC" music video just over a year ago, after it had been left alone by the music company lawyers on KZread since 2011, over 8 years ago when I originally posted it. Over 175,000 views on KZread and 8 years, and then they remove the audio and music... go figure. About a year ago, I put a notice in the description of this music video right below the video player that gives the other link to this music video on Vimeo.com with the audio in tact. Anyway, somehow, over all of these years, Vimeo.com never removes audio or music, that I know of, and I've always had a parallel channel on there too. So, thanks for asking this question... it gave me a chance to look and maybe catch up on a few of the other recent comments here. Thanks!

    digidayfilms I did Vimeo before. It doesn’t stream good at all. It keeps buffering and stopping. I had fits over it. And all I have is an iPad. ☹️

  • @digidayfilms
    @digidayfilms5 жыл бұрын

    @@derekroberts6654 Hi again, Derek. I know how it is... I used to have a 1.5 mbps internet connection, which was the old, slow DSL, and I had the same problem. I'm not sure how fast your connection is, most likely faster with wi-fi and an iPad, but the performance of an online video player also depends on how much RAM the computer has, and that will have the same effect with the buffering as a slower internet connection. It used to be that on KZread or Vimeo, you could load the video page and then stop the player, and it would keep buffering and loading the video in to the RAM on your computer, but now it stops buffering when you stop the player on Vimeo and KZread... KZread seems like it buffers a little more when you stop the video player, but then it stops too. Years ago you could just stop the video player, allow the whole video to load in to the RAM, and then just play it stutter free. With a fast enough internet connection, none of that matters... I have a cable internet connection that gets over 150 mbps with a cable connection and about 50 mbps with the wi-fi connection... but not knowing what your connection is like, or the RAM in your iPad, it is hard to say. Another factor would be a different Vimeo app on an iPad than a regular browser on a laptop or desktop computer to play videos. The only other thing I would think of (besides all the things above) is to suggest setting the video player on 480p or 360p, so then the video would just load faster and buffer faster... but that is something that is otherwise against everything I do digitally, meaning I always watch and recommend to watch my or any video at the highest resolution possible. Like this one for "CFATBDC" was made to be played at 720p to see all the sharpness in that massive album cover and motion graphics. My newer drone flight-film videos are made at 1920x1080p... so how fast one's internet connection is really important... and ample RAM. So, I guess the "why" for this question was originally answered in my updated description, which you saw, so see if any of the variables I mentioned above give you a smoother video experience. Thanks!

    There is no sound!

  • @digidayfilms
    @digidayfilms6 жыл бұрын

    Hi John... thanks for letting me know about this... here's a link to the same video of mine with the soundtrack in tact, as it should be... vimeo.com/23674456 . The sound being removed from this video must have just happened days ago... I check it every couple weeks... thanks for bringing it to my attention. KZread sometimes removes entire videos from my channel and others' channels for song copyrights years after those videos have been posted originally... they used to remove them right away if the YT software picked up a song that it recognized, and they'd send an auto-email right away notifying me of that... but in the last few years they don't even send me an email notice anymore. I've only had a couple-three videos removed from KZread for copyright reasons... it used to be that one could file a very simple stock counter statement blurb about claiming no copyrights for a song in a video right within KZread's own software system behind any channel account, but I tried that about a year ago and it no longer worked. I know this is happening with millions of channels on KZread, but for me, this is the first time, I think, where YT removed the audio and left the video. This "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" custom video of mine has been up for almost 7 years and it has over 171,000 hits... and now YT decides to do this. Here is the simple solution... this "Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy" video is posted on my parallel channel on Vimeo.com at this link... vimeo.com/23674456 ... and, of course, it has the great song that the video follows. Most of the videos I've made that are on my YT channel are also on my Vimeo.com channel, but a few of the videos on my Vimeo.com channel are videos that are no longer on my YT channel because those few videos were completely removed for copyright reasons. I've never had a video removed from my channel on Vimeo.com, nor were any of the soundtracks in those videos removed. There are at least a couple of my custom videos that are now on neither of my channels because I didn't upload them to begin with to my Vimeo.com channel and then a couple of those were removed altogether from KZread after they had been posted for years. I don't even try to post the little copyright disclaimer blurbs with YT anymore because it just doesn't work, whereas they used to, nor do I try to re-post a removed music video because YT gets upset about that, so I hear. I'm going to upload the couple of now missing videos to my Vimeo.com channel soon... somehow, Vimeo.com seems to get around all this stuff about copyright infringement video removals... not sure how. So, thanks for informing me about this unfortunate event, John... especially on a custom video of mine that has so many hits. Check out my entire Vimeo.com channel if you like... vimeo.com/digidayfilms/videos . Lastly, I'm now flying, producing and editing my own drone flight film videos for business, fun and entertainment... so I have to wonder, with some popular music layered over most all of those edited and unedited flight film videos, will I start having some of the same problems with the sharky KZread lawyers taking any of my drone flight film videos down vicariously through the YT software because some popular songs that are on the YT lawyers' lists are being used without any profit or monetary gains?... I'm sure I will. Here is a link to my first posted drone flight film, put to music, of course... vimeo.com/185714538 ...this one is edited, whereas about 15 other drone flight films of mine that I already have edited and finished that I'll be posting in the next few months are uncut... advertising, real estate and personal fun drone flight films will be coming soon too. Here is that link to my Vimeo.com channel again... vimeo.com/digidayfilms/videos ... I'll be posting all my new drone flight films and any other new videos of mine on both my KZread channel and my Vimeo.com channel, hoping these arbitrary video removals and now audio removals with no email notice will not be a problem... they certainly will not be on my Vimeo.com channel, anyway. Thanks again, John. digiday films
