I loved watch the Saturday afternoon wrestling on TV. It was all scripted, as it is now over here & in America but it was great fun. The characters; Billy Two Rivers, Crybaby Jim Brakes etc. My favourite was Les Kellett.

Remember Elvis at a Judo demo in York. He tried to partner up with my daughter age 4, she run from the mat terrified of him. We still laugh about it to this day. RIP Elvis . x

It was great fun at the time. I even saw Big Daddy perform live once in Nottingham. Fantastic atmosphere. Looking back, it was totally silly.

I run a taxi company and would never have hired Nigel because of his lack of enthusiasm for the basics of left / right driving. Love him and Derek Warwick because they never put themselves above their own ability.

But you would hire Danny Sullivan though; former NY cabbie who applied that essential talent in his motorsports endeavors - notably his Spin-n-Win at the 1985 500.

It's 2 totally different styles, you can't make a fair comparison like that. Hogan Vs Andrea at wrestlemania was a fantastic spectacle, but didn't have the work rate of say a wcw cruiserweight match, it's like comparing an apple with an orange.

Love @YllaStar95970's comments. Reminds me of watching the wrestling in the 70's here in Scotland. I also worked at Butlins (Ayr) at the time and every day was a holiday. Best days ever, wish I could go back in time and revisit those glory days. Bill

Saying that (in the days when F1 existed) two Grand Prix drivers came from Indy and therefore Indy and American racing could match F1 (in the days when F1 existed) for allure and technical capacity is like saying that Formula Renault is the equal of F1 (whose home was the capitol of world motorsport: England - when it existed, obviously) because a couple of Formula Renault drivers advanced from lowly Formula Renault to the pinnacle of the art. Obviously, Indy doesn't exist anymore either, but it's still worth remembering what was what when things did exist. Americans would do well to learn that saying things loudly doesn't change the nub of the thing being said (only the volume), and, adding the word 'World' to domestic championships doesn't actually infer world-level competition. This track is very nice, though. It's not really like Spa. It's more like Brands Hatch melted into The Ring before they ruined it.
