    Do you know if this will work with other programs? For example I have a folder called Corel Video Studio containing related apps which I don't use often. Can I move the folder to D drive using your method above? Thanks in advance. x

    Too expensive for a plastic looking camera, and half frame too! Much prefer the sound of the Mint 35 which is using lidar for autofocus and its about the same size as the old Rollei 35's but even that is going to be extremely overpriced. 500bucks will get you a decent quality working LeicaR !

    Isn't there a "global" revert to original button, like there was in ViewNX? Also - how do you switch off all the camera adjustments in NX Studio?

    Hi Dean! Thanks so much for this. I just got the z6iii (my first mirrorless). What I really want to do is tether wirelessly. I've had 2 costly accidents in my studio with tether cables. Do you know if I can use this wirelessly by pairing my camera with the program over WiFi? Thanks!

    What about EIN? I love film, but I hate when film photographers get political. If you feel the same way please don't watch my latest short all about TRUMP & BIDEN and Sprocket hole 35mm photography. Nice breakdown I'm never too old to get learnt something. SUBBED!

    I guess they knew they'll pretty much sell the first batch at almost any price. They looked into the community online and film camera collectors and knew, they all will buy. Just look at the amount of people who "only" do street photography as a hobby with a Leica M6. I also hope for a lower price. 300$ is the price I would go for. I think for the Pentax 17 we have to compare the price more with Kodak's new Ektar35N. In costs 80€ in Europe, don't know about the US. But it has part glas lens apparently and Kodak built in bulb mode. But the camera still is in the range of "reusables", full plastic, no control. If we go from that, the gap between 80 and 550€ for a plastic camera without controls and a "real" camera on the other end, it doesn's sound that much anymore. Also: The competition Pentax is having right now is Lomography. They also sell plastic cameras, but some with better quality, like glas lenses and different manual controls. Those Lomography cameras already go for over 300€, and I wouldn't call them "real" cameras. Then there is FilmNeverDie in Australia. They will come out with a camera this year aswell. They started by aiming at offering a new Contax lol full metal body. In the end, their camera - as it looks like - will be a motorized film camera model you can buy on Alibaba from China. They just made a metal *front* plate, the back is cheap plastic still. Also, apparently no controls or focus. They still don't tell what kind of focus they will deliver: Either a second lens for other focus areas or some kind of plates in the back that you have to push to change focus manually. Anyhow, why I am writing this LOL: They want 250€ for this or 200$. I also find the Pentax way too expensive. But looking at today's market, Pentax really know what they are doing here. Because all the other players either have similiar high production costs for the plastic they deliver, or they realy rake in a lot of profits.

  • @lelandfitz1762
    @lelandfitz1762Ай бұрын

    It will be 850€. As the Pentax 17 is 550€ that'll be 800$. At least it'll have full metal body and full manual controls. But...for me *everything* depends on the auto focus of the 35AF. If that isn't really fast and good, all those 800$ won't do you much if you really want to go for snapshots or street photography and such. The Pentax 17 "at least" has a zone focus where you can set that range. But the 17 has a forced auto exposure, making you wait, just like a good auto focus makes you wait. I guess it's all about trade-offs. There won't be the perfect camera lol

    I have always and will always shoot film. I have for all that time been extremely wary of plastic cameras, all of mine are either predominantly metal or metal and hardwood. I won't even buy the later Hasselblad plastic housed lenses. 500 is too much. given the cost of film. It's never been cheap to get the good stuff, and that's what you'll need to get anything close to a decent image. They tried, but this is competing against mobile phones and it'll lose.

  • @buskman3286
    @buskman3286Ай бұрын

    Is it worth the money? No. If you want to shoot 35mm film and like the Pentax brand, buy an old Pentax MX (or something similar from other manufacturers) to get a camera with dramatically more capability that you can sell for what you paid for it if you decide you don't like film.

    Thank you. I will copy a folder icon to every photo folder, because I want to remove these uncalledfor photo previews completely. These pictures spread under the folder title text so in 80% of cases the text is unreadable, it is not wcag compliant design, puting a grey text on a transparent rectangle (also grey).

    Hello, I intensively use NX studio (1.6.1) with a D5 and a D850. Best software for rendering the « pop » and the colors of a Nikon file (even if deserved by its inability to manage correctly external storage w/o crashing and its slowness). However, i do not see here that Noise Reduction is activated by default on NEF files, nor that it does a « first assessment « by itself ». Do i miss something somewhere ? Best, Cl.

I find GIMP veyr good for being free but its ridiculous how something simple is too dam complicated and frustrating

    Great video. Thanks. A tip for future videos. Please don't shake the pc arrow around the screen. It is distracting, annoying to some and forces me to look away from the screen. Try moving it slower and letting it rest on the part you want to draw attention to.

    I have been struggling with the contrast levels while taking sports photos and in post processing with my Nikon 4Ds and 5D. I have been searching for a tutorial on Nikon ADL for a while and this video covers it brilliantly. Can't wait to go back and play around with all my RAW images.

    I was disappointed with V1’s abilty to boost shadows and reduce highlights. Other apps I have used do this in a far superior way. from what I can see here, V2 still is weak in this aspect.

    "It's quirky"....holy crap, I'll say. I just "locked" the layer from repositioning yet am still able to move the image all over the place. There's all these microscopic icons everywhere in the interface, but when you hover the cursor over them nothing displays to indicate what they do. Like what's the funny little icon to the right of the eye in the layer control panel? What's the checkerboard next to the "Lock layer" icon? I'd look these things up in the online help, but since I have no idea what they're called, I can't search for them. These programs now, I swear there's so many features and settings and toolbars all over the place, it takes a normal person several hours just to figure out how to make a few simple adjustments to an image that should take a couple of minutes.

    No disrespect at all to you, but I just want to carry out a normal edit from start to finish and save as a JPEG. I don't want complicated explanation of how ot all at this present time, just 1 edit for one photo. I used stand alone Lightroom before that took me about 5 minutes to edit and save to JPEG for print, but Adobe is now a cash cow so I went ahead and bought the stand alone Affinity 2. I can't even find the sharpness control.
