I run 30lb wire leaders with snap swivels lol
Sorta odd I see this now. Growing up I always used them, never really got much till I switched. Could have been another factor to ofcouse but it’s something that Will always be in my mind
Deer Moms: "okay you're a month old. Time to swin across the mississippi"
I alternate. In a place where i know i am going to have to try a bunch of lures to see whats working: swivel. If I’m in a spot that i know what they like: tied to my lure.
What if you slip a small size cork over the swivel when using those diving baits. Has anyone experimented with cork.
You have to use them for pike fishing in my opinion
I have lost a bunch of lures even a fish with these
I get tons of hits with snap swivels, they work great
1.Beetle spin 2.Texas rig 3. Whopper plopper
Texas rig crankbait and senko wacky rig
Wait, real question here? 🙋🏻♂️ Do you not use a leader line/ barrel swivel? Just straight to the main braided line? I feel like fish would see my bright orange braided line and not bite.
Take line twist away especially using spinners been using them 55 years
Line wears down around the knot. Skipping re ties and adding the extra point of failure will lose you fish. I was a snap swivel only user 10 years ago but lost some big fish when they broke. Never using again.
His wife must have got tired of having to tie his lures on. Wussy boi
I use them on all my lines and I out-fish all my buddies every weekend.
We use wire leaders all the time (that end in swivels) because we have tons of toothy fish here. I only tie directly on for panfish
Still catch fish so…..
They always break on me maybe I get the wrong brand or something but I will tye for that reason other then that I would catch the same amount of fish with the swivel
I prefer no leader. Practice your knots, i can switch out a lure in 30 seconds
i use swivels with a leader
Wack a sack rig
Just a snap, never a swivel unless you have a lure that puts twist in your line.
I use it never had a problem always caught fish
I would agree except instead of a beatle spinnerbait I’d use a 1/4 ounce rooster tail inline spinner
They are cheaper on temu. About $75 ~ $1.50. You also get turtle, mouse and spider options that are basically the same type of top lure. But the spiders are more expensive.
Sorry but I’d rather spend $8 to support an American company than 1.50 to support foreigners using slave labor to get rich.
this is great thank u
It’s a palimar knot
Keep up the good work this is very helpful thank you
After all these videos showing what lures and baits they recommend, here are the 3 I am trying this weekend: 1. Texas Rig with a Speed Craw 2. Fluke 3. Senko (not sure on the spelling) Will I catch my first bass ever? 😅
It really depends on where you’re fishing and what you want to catch. With a swivel the older fish won’t bite as much but the younger fish will, and in pressured areas you will catch less fish on a swivel. With no swivel your presentation will look more natural and you will catch more fish. Using a swivel can also somewhat limit the techniques you can use.
Fish are stupid and won’t care.
I mean i always switch baits like 20 times a session 💀
I wade fish a lot, screw tying lines while you're in the water. Snap swivels for me.
Use an over hand loop, still swap lures without re tying and no swivel
I usually use the palomar knot for braid and this one for mono
Ned rig
I like it for removing line twist as well
Palomar knot is the best 🪢
My fingers hurt less tying the knots
Good tool I agree that u want to spend more time fishing
Ligma
what lure is that?
You forgot the carolina rig
I rarely fish lures, but I can say for sure they hurt you when trying to present natural bait
i want big fish not smart fish
So the giant treble hooks don’t bother them but a swivel will? Nahhh. Doesn’t matter
Just retire that weak ass clip😭
Great tool for fresh water for sure ❤
I use this knot as it seems to be the easiest, and I have poor dexterity with my hands.
Just buy swivel trebles instead, they may cost more but they will never rip or Frey like braid.
