  Not sure when you filmed this, but we were on Saona on Monday 28th Aug, following Storm Franklin and it looked nothing like this!. Hordes of people, masses of Sargasso weed and a very rough sea. This video is very misleading 😞

  Monte mit dem Tropischen Garten und dann mit dem Schlitten runter an unserer keinen Quinta Mirabela vorbei zur Endstation.Die Mercado doc lavradores die Markthalle die Altstadt mit den schön bemalten Türen und kleinen Restaurangs . Der Hafen wo die Porto Santo zu Insel ablegt .Ich kenne diese schöne Insel seit 2016 sind wir jedes Jahr in unserer kleinen geliebte.   The path you walked is NOT the Caminho Real 23. The CR23 is a 180-kilometre historic trail that goes around the whole perimeter of the island. It climbs down to the Calhau de São Jorge -- the place where you started -- on steep switchbacks paved with the original cobblestone, then climbs up through more switchbacks on the other side. It does not go along the coast down below, where you were. On the map shown at 0:05, you can clearly see the switchbacks leading down from the Cabo Aéreo Café from the west. The ones climbing back up to the east towards Santana are less obvious on the map but are still visible. Unlike the path you walked after you ignored the warning signs, the CR23 is not a dangerous path and is open to the public. I just walked it myself a couple of weeks ago.

  thanks for the correction. turns out there was an error. I read reports, many people call that the path along the ocean to the stairs on the rock, which I did not reach. it was visible from the drone, and the path in front of the stairs was destroyed. what is it called then? I plan to be there again next year.

  @@travelannaborys Sorry, I don't know what that one is called, I just know about the CR 23 because I walked it a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the other one doesn't have a name, since it's off limits and is not actually a recognized path.
