Great video man
can I use the wire of iPhone an iPhone charger with the adapter of the MacBook( I have only changed the wire) to charge my MacBook ?
@@Ironman-vk6yx Sure you can combine the chargers 🔌 until you stick to the Apple original ones, you will not have any problem.
thank you helped me lot
very helpful. thank you..
THANK YOU! I hate loud coffee shops, but I love the vibe of working out of them. So pop in AirPods and turn this on, and I can work away in peace. love it!
Absolutely, being somewhere out or of your home or office sometimes makes so much better working environment. I usually prefer very light non distractive background music, but the stream sound would be my second best choice 👨🏼💻
Useful
I’m glad you find it useful. I believe you might discover more features from other videos on the channel as well 👍👨🏼💻
@@OneByteAcademyOfficial your content is good actually, I just think algorithm makes it hard for people to see and interact/comment. in my case I go only to my subscriptions page, not the home page
Yeah you are right it's really hard to get noticed. But I really appreciate your positive feedback 🙏
Best aid ever!!
My 1tb drive is entirely full. Have deleted loads of stuff but never shows up as space. I have750 GB of system data !!! It wont show up as anything else. Going mad here! Any help?
Thanks mate, the instruction were super clear to follow
I have 350 gig of other after using FCP , went through the video , checked everything , but no help .. any other tips?
Hi, My Folder that I hid using the command first is not reappearing after giving no hidden command and pasting path
Hello, I never had any problem with this technique. Make sure you precisely follow the instructions, type the exact command and copy the right path. It's best to test it on an empty folder so you don't loose your files if you make any mistake on the way.
Thank you, Sir. You are a life saviour.
in 2024 MacOS developers really need to make things easier getting access to this simple yet amazing feature that really helps.
bro I JUST WANT TO SAY THIS CLEARNED my MAC 500GB HOLY SHI I AM SO HAPPY, I OWE U LOADS THANK YOU ONE BYTE ACADEMY!
I was bogged down trying to use the Automator app to create keyboard shortcuts. I actually got some to work, but it's hopelessly complicated. This method is awesome! Thank you so much.
So easy! Thank you so much! 😃
Thanks man for perfectly and clearly showing/explaining what to do. This helped a lot!
Thanks for this.
What exactly did you say to click at :56?
To click on the desktop in order to switch to Finder.
AWESOME VIDEO!
This video helped me fully erase 40gb of data from apps I had "deleted" before I installed app cleaner. Since I had deleted them normally, A lot of the app's data was still left in the application support folder.. thanks !
Pages
Thank yu so much buddy
Thanks. I saved around 96gb from my laptop.
I have over 400 gb in mine and only 4 gigs in my caches somehow.
Dude says does not want to waste our time and then spends 25% of video on the intro lol
Thanks for watching dude 👍 we are all wasting time on so many things, but learning new techniques around macOS is never a waste of time 🕰️
You are amazing , i have been banging my head for almost a month, why i am not able to clean up my mac. I can do that now. thanks. subscribed
Thank you very much for your positive comment and subscribing 🙏 I’m happy it helped and hopefully you will find more useful videos on the channel.
Nice, but you should answer in comments more…
I am happy to discuss everything in the comments. I am answering every single comment as soon as I can (Yeah I have a few to catch up now as I was away for a bit 😂)
Why in the world was my "Docker/Data" folder taking up 64GB? Thank you, sir.
🤗
Thank you 👍
Congratulations!
Thank you so much 🙏
name of your wallpaper used in the video?
The animated wallpaper used in the video is called FIXED Living Room Chill 👨🏼💻
Thank you, it was driving me insane!
I use the Aldente app, Its able to stop the charging at any % level, which I have set to 70 unless I need to top It off when I will be away from charger!
Not sure about this one, It does control my cycles but my health has been declining really fast, I would not recommend it
@@nasiridrishi7298 what’s your recommendation on keeping the battery healthy the longest? I’m wanting to make my MacBook last as long as possible! Thanks!
@@ReaperRamsy I have been using mac since 2019, I would say it's not worth giving your efforts and time trying to save battery life, The difference it will make won't be as big. Just live your life and let your mac worry about its battery health.
Thanks, great tip. Not a day goes by that I don't miss the easy simplicity of Skitch (ruined by the acquisition by Evernote).
Thank you!! I found the massive file that I was looking for!
This video is a Giant waste of time.
The only waste of time was to write this comment, but I appreciate it because it’s really helpful for KZread algorithm 👍👍
comparing a 2 day charge cycle to 5 days charge cycle is a horrible comparison because some users just use their mac more than others
Does anybody know how to make the default screenshot 72 dpi instead of 144 dpi? I'm using 14.5, the latest Mac OS. I think they changed it from 72 to 144 several months ago.
Not useful only shows last thing copied
😍
I bought one from USA and SPO2 does not work
Thank you!
Deleting the application support is the best thing I did following your tutorial. So thanks so much bro
How do you keep them from re-downloading after you delete them. After I delete them they almost instantly start to download again.
keep me posted. i'd like to know the solution as well
Biggest scam I have ever seen. Apple lies to you by telling you that keeping your mac on charger won't affect it's battery life, however I have personally tested this on Macbook Air 2015, Macbook Air 2019, Macbook Pro M1 2021 and I have been watching and following the battery life very closely for this period and all I can tell you is, that once your mac is left in the charger beyond 100% for about 25-40 minutes, the problems start. Your battery won't have the same capacity no more, no matter what you do, it will drain faster than it was before, but if you are not paying attention to it, you would think it's just normal and this is how it behaves. Looking into Apple forums, they will preach the holy bible and tell you that ''nothing can happen and all is safe, this is how batteries are, it's normal that they drain faster with time''. The tests I did were on brand new macBooks with 10-20 cycles and right after the charger was left in the battery's life suddenly plummeted. Why would they tell you such a nonsense then? Because they replace batteries in the apple store for hefty profits and they don't want you to know that you are literally destroying your battery by leaving the charger in. It's called a charger for a reason. After I've tested it myself and seen it with my own eyes, I have taken steps into recovering the battery by reseting the SMC which works on older macs with Intel Chip, but not on M1's and beyond. However, you can see how fast your battery is draining and if it's faster than usual, then just reset the SMC and watch closely how it drains, when you see a slowdown, you have reached the point of fixing the battery's life and now your only job is to make sure you Never, ever leave your mac into a charger for longer than 5-10 Minutes. After that you have the real battery's life and it will last so long, that you won't even have to worry buying or replacing it anytime soon or at all, since the performance of the macBooks in general is splendid. Now, reseting the SMC won't work always right of the first attempt, sometimes you may be lucky enough to work out perfectly from the first time, sometimes it may take 1-5 times doing so in order to reset the batter's capacity. Now Apple or people will tell you to leave your charger in your laptop if you care for it, but it will only literally screw it over and that will obliterate you and make you see things different as they truly are. The ideas is that this way you will be constantly needing to update to a new one, this is why the are so smart to sell you a unique product, an awesome one, but why would you want to change or upgrade if your product is that good and working just fine, even more than fine? You won't, this is why they came up with the idea of giving you false advice to make more sells. Same as updating your software, which only makes your laptop slower and slower since it has a certain properties which the new software overloads with every new update because of its feature. Not to mention that Apple has been already successfully sued in England and Europe for intentionally slowing down older software to make you upgrade which leads to you buying a new phone, since your old one can't take it no more and can't keep up with the newer updates in terms of performance. There is a reason laptops were made, so they can work out of charger with batteries (not only for being portable, but you get what I mean, you don't bring electricity everywhere with you) not like computers constantly on electricity. As I earlier said, I have tested this on 3 Laptops and invested many years of my time + countless hours with Apple support, E-Mail, Forums, KZread Videos, software Engineers from Apple as well as Senior Software Engineers to follow up how battery life works and I can tell you, that this is the right thing to do. P.S. I have been using all my laptops to maximum, with 60+ Tabs of Chrome, 5+ Apps constantly running, iMovie, Safari with 40+ Tabs simultaneously all the time 24/7 and on top of that other hard and much power consuming softwares like, since I do a lot of work on them and ever since I did this, they preform way beyond any other MacBook I have ever seen. My Macbook Air early 2015 still beats brand new laptops coming out of the factories, simply because I have always taken a very good care and tested things myself + never updated my software, even though Apple said that I should which I didn't and to this day 8 years later, my laptop, 128GB Memory with 8GB Ram and 1.60Ghz processor makes wonders and is lightning fast. Your laptop is working great with your current software? Fine, leave it there. Your laptop is not working properly with your software? Then google the first software version you laptop can run and downgrade to it and thank me later. Don't fall for the trap, do these things and you will be working on your laptop for a very, very long time and have his longevity increased by years to come. Don't believe me? Try it out yourself and you will be surprised how well things can be
Really Nice video , It helped
Thank you so much. I was able to clear over 500gbs of storage which I had no idea how to. As it happens, all this space was being taken by my application folder which when inspected individually it didn't amount to 16gb so I was at a loss. Following your instructions, found out that the Bark App (parent monitoring) was installing a bunch of "back up files" on my computer (even though I can only review the information by login into their website) and these amount to 500gbs. You are a life savior!
this is hands down the most useful video on this topic. Thank you! mystery solved.
