Biggest scam I have ever seen. Apple lies to you by telling you that keeping your mac on charger won't affect it's battery life, however I have personally tested this on Macbook Air 2015, Macbook Air 2019, Macbook Pro M1 2021 and I have been watching and following the battery life very closely for this period and all I can tell you is, that once your mac is left in the charger beyond 100% for about 25-40 minutes, the problems start. Your battery won't have the same capacity no more, no matter what you do, it will drain faster than it was before, but if you are not paying attention to it, you would think it's just normal and this is how it behaves. Looking into Apple forums, they will preach the holy bible and tell you that ''nothing can happen and all is safe, this is how batteries are, it's normal that they drain faster with time''. The tests I did were on brand new macBooks with 10-20 cycles and right after the charger was left in the battery's life suddenly plummeted. Why would they tell you such a nonsense then? Because they replace batteries in the apple store for hefty profits and they don't want you to know that you are literally destroying your battery by leaving the charger in. It's called a charger for a reason. After I've tested it myself and seen it with my own eyes, I have taken steps into recovering the battery by reseting the SMC which works on older macs with Intel Chip, but not on M1's and beyond. However, you can see how fast your battery is draining and if it's faster than usual, then just reset the SMC and watch closely how it drains, when you see a slowdown, you have reached the point of fixing the battery's life and now your only job is to make sure you Never, ever leave your mac into a charger for longer than 5-10 Minutes. After that you have the real battery's life and it will last so long, that you won't even have to worry buying or replacing it anytime soon or at all, since the performance of the macBooks in general is splendid. Now, reseting the SMC won't work always right of the first attempt, sometimes you may be lucky enough to work out perfectly from the first time, sometimes it may take 1-5 times doing so in order to reset the batter's capacity. Now Apple or people will tell you to leave your charger in your laptop if you care for it, but it will only literally screw it over and that will obliterate you and make you see things different as they truly are. The ideas is that this way you will be constantly needing to update to a new one, this is why the are so smart to sell you a unique product, an awesome one, but why would you want to change or upgrade if your product is that good and working just fine, even more than fine? You won't, this is why they came up with the idea of giving you false advice to make more sells. Same as updating your software, which only makes your laptop slower and slower since it has a certain properties which the new software overloads with every new update because of its feature. Not to mention that Apple has been already successfully sued in England and Europe for intentionally slowing down older software to make you upgrade which leads to you buying a new phone, since your old one can't take it no more and can't keep up with the newer updates in terms of performance. There is a reason laptops were made, so they can work out of charger with batteries (not only for being portable, but you get what I mean, you don't bring electricity everywhere with you) not like computers constantly on electricity. As I earlier said, I have tested this on 3 Laptops and invested many years of my time + countless hours with Apple support, E-Mail, Forums, KZread Videos, software Engineers from Apple as well as Senior Software Engineers to follow up how battery life works and I can tell you, that this is the right thing to do. P.S. I have been using all my laptops to maximum, with 60+ Tabs of Chrome, 5+ Apps constantly running, iMovie, Safari with 40+ Tabs simultaneously all the time 24/7 and on top of that other hard and much power consuming softwares like, since I do a lot of work on them and ever since I did this, they preform way beyond any other MacBook I have ever seen. My Macbook Air early 2015 still beats brand new laptops coming out of the factories, simply because I have always taken a very good care and tested things myself + never updated my software, even though Apple said that I should which I didn't and to this day 8 years later, my laptop, 128GB Memory with 8GB Ram and 1.60Ghz processor makes wonders and is lightning fast. Your laptop is working great with your current software? Fine, leave it there. Your laptop is not working properly with your software? Then google the first software version you laptop can run and downgrade to it and thank me later. Don't fall for the trap, do these things and you will be working on your laptop for a very, very long time and have his longevity increased by years to come. Don't believe me? Try it out yourself and you will be surprised how well things can be

Thank you so much. I was able to clear over 500gbs of storage which I had no idea how to. As it happens, all this space was being taken by my application folder which when inspected individually it didn't amount to 16gb so I was at a loss. Following your instructions, found out that the Bark App (parent monitoring) was installing a bunch of "back up files" on my computer (even though I can only review the information by login into their website) and these amount to 500gbs. You are a life savior!
