Fantastic film mate, place looks so powerful! Fantastic rocky trail and waterfalls are amazing!
Thanks, its absolutely amazing out there
Nice one mate 👍
Thanks mate!
Great build for a First Timer! Subscribed Cheers!
oh thank you! Lots of videos to come if I can get to editing them!! And a second (proper) build eventually (in the next 12 months)
Idk man I think it looks good
Thanks it did taste good
@@ChrisIsOutside Nice I'm going to try something similar soon
@@theconductoresplin8092 if you can be bothered making your own dough its even better
@@ChrisIsOutside I've made my own dough a lot Adding a lil bit of milk enhances the flavor in my experience
Relaxing to watch 👍
Thanks moit!
I’ve been there
Chris I had sweaty palms watching this! I drive an L400 6V petrol engine, she's a bit of a pig when it comes to sand but have yet to get her bogged down although I always play it safe so to speak. That are looks bloody amazing by the way, stay safe on the road mate.
My latest trip showed me how much of a beast they are in the dunes. I just got back from doing all the way from Robe down to where I entered in this video and the footage is a lot more exciting! I can't wait to share it but I have a few more vids to edit and post before then 😄 Thanks for watching and saying hi! Have fun in you Deli!
Fantastic Coast line ,awesome beaches ,nice vid mate 👌
Thanks mate! Love the sa beaches
But how small does it fold up and how much does it weigh? I’m trying to see if I can find one that I can take backpacking.
yeah you don't wanna take this backpacking. It fits on my front passenger seat but takes up the whole spce. weights about 18kg i reckon. you probably need to get a pack-raft and pay more that $150 for it :)
Check out aquaglide. They have a bunch of kayaks on clearance right now, including some ultralight pack rafts that weight like 10 pounds

Thanks for sharing, loved it..
Thanks for watching and commenting! 🙂
Wow, gorgeous place. Love the views and atmosphere in this one. Great work my friend
Thanks!
You kicked ass mate,my poor old knees wouldn't let me do something like that. Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheers from Melbourne.
A fellow Melbournian! Cheers!
You’re right about the names, Mt Townsend actually look like a mountain and mt Kosciuszko looks more like large mound. Our school bushwalking group had a policy to put an extra rock on mt Townsend when we climbed it and to take a rock off mt Kosciuszko in the hope that one day my Townsend will reclaim its place in history.
Hahaha I love it
Great memories, I walked through there as a school kid 40 years ago. The thing to be careful about in thunderstorms is to keep away from the metal walkways for oblivious reasons ….
Yeah I looked at that walkway and felt it was actually quite dangerous!
Haha yeah "they had it 5 times as bad as me"
Oh for sure
the stairs are brutal...but at least I didn't have to pave them haha
haha yeah, the only thought that was keeping me going at that point
Great video ✨
Thanks, I wasn't happy with it but you prompted me to post it anyway. I'm glad I did. I can work on more now. I have some great hiking and 4x4 videos coming up
@@ChrisIsOutside I really wanna go camping for 2 months alone in the jungle, your videos help me a lot, I'm lost on the catch and kill food part tho I can't go camping if I dunno how to catch, kill and cook
@@jonathantasker Yes you can, just bring some food :D I am trying to learn fishing at the moment
@@ChrisIsOutside I'll be forced to bring food lol, but it won't last the 2 months, thankfully Belize has so much life over here we're both gonna be learning to fish :)
@@ChrisIsOutside do you still have Microsoft Flight Simulator, and would you be streaming again anytime soon? I miss those streams man
Done good 👍
Another great video, I like the way you have used the space. I fitted out mine with a rock and roll style bed and a shelving unit but have run out of room for a fridge. I suspect I might rebuild mine along your lines, luckily at the place I work , I’ve got good access to a heap of fantastic carpentry tools. Any chance you could give me a few more details on the curtain track you used and where you got it from ( I live in Victoria too) Cheers, Rich
The curtain rail is from "blind parts by Dave" in packenham I had them pre cut and just picked them up from the warehouse
@@ChrisIsOutside - Thanks 🙏
Nice mate, im thinking of doing something similar.
Having the kitchen and the fridge at the back has been handy when it is raining. the hatch works as shelter as long as it's not too windy
Great set up
Thanks! I think I will move to a bigger van before I actually ever finish this one LOL
Did you say shes a 97? Shes doing well! My 97 Nissan pathfinder is on her last legs 💔
@@SeaStarrs yep turning 26 next year. At the mechanics today 🤣
Damn it's been 6 months already
I knooooow argh! I've made videos but been unhappy with them 😞
dude, cos of you I finally posted my van tour video that I didn't like from over a year ago. I will post more now - thanks :)
@@ChrisIsOutside Thanks bro, I'm looking forward to the videos😎🥂
Fished that area a lot as kids. What’s the first camp area you were at?
That first one was Cape Conran. not far past Marlo. Beautiful spot

Gonna have hell scraping that egg off a non oiled or buttered metal surface . 😅 ... Egg Membrane Issues Now Solved Thank You Jesus !!! . Had problems with that one forever . 😮 . O yea . Shake egg before cracking . Better chance of yolk not breaking ... 👍
What did this fix? Also, pro tip, don't crack on an edge, but rather on a flat surface
It's better for boiled eggs, the shell comes off easier
🍀 Promo-SM
You goose but I do that too so I'm a goose too
😮😮😮
What did you cut in the floor?
That was a wire brush removing surface rust and then I painted over it to seal it with primer
Donkey Van’s fancier cousin!
I call it the humbuggy
Loving the shorts bro
Oh cheers man. It's an experiment before I permanently wrap up my channel
Thoroughly enjoyed this one mate. How come I never get female drivers pick me up?
hahaha
Great video Chris. Beautiful scenery, and some furrie little cameos. Well done hiking all that way.
Thanks!
Nice video , did you do this in Feb/march ?
October last year! I'm a bit behind with my videos!! :D
@@ChrisIsOutside - The timing on your video is quite fortunate, I was considering taking a short break ( 4-5 days) to Queensland in a couple of weeks but now you have me thinking about going down to the Prom
@@SandyCrack69 its a good spot when nobody is there. cold this time of year though
Hi Chris, I really enjoyed this video and the way you filmed it. The scenery is spectacular and you did well fitting both hikes in. Graham and Tim 😊 🐕
Thanks! I was worried it was a bit long so I tried something different to keep it chill and made all of the music myself
Awesome. I'm picking up my Delica today and I'm setting it up for camping. So your video is very helpful. Thanks.
Awesome! Have fun with it!
Yay new vid!
hey mate! Hope you're doing well! Thanks for still watching :)
@@ChrisIsOutside doing well, how's the doggo and you?, I was looking for you channel today and found your comment on one of my vids
@@jonathantasker Lil is good man :D Did you have a doggo with some pups? I forget - I think one passed away?
Good stuff mate.
Cheers! Wilson's Prom is great when it's quiet
Chris~Yeah, insane trip,
I had a great time, the hike up the mountain in the next video was beautiful
Nice trip mate 👍
Thanks mate! The Prom is aweosme
A noble man, a cute Dog, and an awesome van. Living the best life. That will be me and my dog JD soon.
awesome! love it!
Fantastic video and build series. Really helpful for my upcoming L400 Delica build. Keep up the gret work.
cheers!
@@ChrisIsOutside what size ply did you use for the sub floor?
@@delhardy71 I think it was 9mm. I wanted it to go under the footwell trim. It did make it harder to mount things onto being so thin though
@@ChrisIsOutside hey mate. What size is that Self Inflating mattress, and where did you get it?
@@delhardy71 it's the Macpac deluxe single mat. It's pretty expensive for a self inflating mattress but I haven't seen one that meets the softness. It's kinda stretchy material which makes it really comfy. Inflated: 198 x 76 x 10cm
It is comical to see your battles. You remind me of my new project struggle
hahahaha yep! so many more struggles to come - I had to figure out how to enjoy them and not stress too much - Zen and the art of converting a Delica
Hi Chris, I really enjoyed the video, what an amazing spot to camp at the end of that track. Looking forward to your next adventure. My Delica is converted into a camper now and I have had some amazing trip so far. Heading over to Victoria and NSW in June. Graham and Tim 😊 🐕
That's awesome! where have you been so far?
Yorke Peninsula, Mid North SA, South East of South Australia, up and down the Murray River in both SA and Victoria and followed the Silo Art trail in Victoria around the Wimmera. Lots more to come.
@@grahamconnor3438 that sounds awesome, are you in any of the delica groups on facebook?
@@ChrisIsOutside I am but I don't like the way certain members are fast to criticise and go out of their way to be mean, so I don't post on any of the groups. It's a shame because there is some helpful information on them. I'm also a member of the Delica forum.
@@grahamconnor3438 Ah that's a shame - I haven't had the same experience but I usually only post pics and not often. Found you and sent a message
Great to see another video from you mate. How are things going I'm pretty sure you remember me 🤣. I'm still doing music and was very pleasantly surprised to see a video from you after such a long time. I hope you're doing well my friend
