  hi, friend!! I hope you are well, I have a question with this amplifier regarding how to use the equipment with headphones without the speaker playing, I do not want to have accidents with the amplifier, that is why I am asking you how to use it only with headphones to practice at night. To use with headphones should I leave the SPKR switch OFF? Is it correct to do it like this? or is it done another way??? I hope you can help me, I will be attentive, greetings from Chile!! 👍👍

  1:07:00 that is funny. I guess this is what you would call "lost in translation". they reproduced the mistake Theresa made when she performed this live on the live scenes from a memory dvd in NY. the guys in DT even said it was a mistake in the commentary.

  I first purchased an original Chameleon in 1996 or 97 and it was my stage rig for many years. I played in a variety cover band and it was very versatile. Later I discovered some settings I really have a hard time beating when going direct into my DAW. My original began having some issues with the input level pot and I became concerned so I searched for a backup or second unit. At first I purchase a used Chameleon 2000 not realizing how different it is. Currently I have it on my desk trying to get some patches I like. Then I got another original Chameleon with the Green Chameleon logo. Ive had some issues with a couple of encoder pots that only work if you hold your face just right and have some low level noise on clean patches. My local electronic repair place wouldn't work on it because these parts are very hard to find. The original Chameleon is significantly more powerful and feature rich compared to the Chameleon 2000 although the parameters on the 2000 are much easier to understand. One example is having separate XLR outs to 1/4" outs. You can run the speaker simulator on the XLRs for a direct feed and turn off the speaker emulation in the 1/4'" outs if you were to run them into actual amps. There is a tremendous amount of potential EQ adjusting in the original but not the easiest to understand. The 2000 appears much more like an amp without the ability to change EQ frequencies. For home recording in recent years I love using my older Chameleon direct into sound card for great sounding classic Marshall tone Ala AC/DC. I rarely venture into the garage anymore to play through real amps. My latest discovery is that two new to me ODs ( a JHS notaklon and a Wampler Pantheon) give a great touch to my basic dirt sounds. Lastly they are significantly less expensive as I spent a lot when I bough my first one new. BTW, Rocktron Hush is built in and good noise gate.
