Zippo Lighters are beyond being just a lighter. It's all about Zippo AMBIENCE these days. You're approaching these things as if you're 70 years behind the cutting edge. You're way out of date when talking about these things.

I own many knives. I can afford any knife. I’m an engineer. I appreciate designs that work but are aesthetic. Having said this I will tell you that I have carried my Orange Dozier every single day for the past 4 years. I use it to open packages. I use it to cut my steak in a restaurant. I open mail with it. I use it every single day. I have bought a few of these as gifts for family. My youngest son just stole mine so I bought another one. The price point is perfection. The steel is good and I can get hair razor sharp results fast in less than 3 min with a V sharpener you buy at the grocery store. It is a softer steel so I sharpen it up every couple weeks but again it only takes two minutes. I clean it regularly with soap and water. I oil it about 2-3x a year. This knife is with me as often as my wallet or shoes. The blade design is perfect for every day tasks. And it is strong. It has never let me down. People I have gifted it too tell me months or years later that it is their “go-to” knife. Good. Can’t go wrong. It’s like the folding version of a Mora Companion. Everyone needs one of each.

Great Video! After not owning a watch in 20+ years I started my research into what watch to buy. I feel about watches the way I feel about Sunglasses as I would prefer to buy and own the very best at any price but as soon as I do I would loose them... So I try and find the best I can find that will function great, look good and will not upset me if I loose them. After a few weeks of research I decided on the TIMEX Expedition version with the Indiglo as I have always wanted one from the 90's and never purchased one but ran across the TIMEX Solar versions and got me thinking. Looks like the norm for a battery watch that's not solar is about 2 years, perhaps more but 2 years on a battery. Now if I use the indiglo lots just how long would that 2 year rated battery last me? Enter the SOLAR Timex. I was having a hard time deciding if I could live without indiglo but this video truly helped me as I think I will be able to see the hands better on this solar non indigo version so time will tell as my new watch ( same watch with the tan leather strap ) will arrive in a few days. The idea of a good looking inexpensive watch that I won't need to find a shop to replace a battery any time soon if ever, looks this good is a win! After lots of research and thought this was my choice of watch! Thanks for the video as it helped me decide...

people call these watches cheap but they have the same grade miyota movement as a lot of casio chronographs and we all know miyota is a citizen brand so the timex and casio and some seiko quartz movements are the same, so when people say the timex is a cheap watch they are calling the rest cheap

I've had this watch for over a year now, and in the smartwatch age I honestly don't wear it too much anymore. I still love to grab it when I just want a watch on my wrist to tell time, and it's been faithfully ticking away on my nightstand without losing charge or time. Everyone should have something like this as either a backup or if they're just looking for an inexpensive watch that requires no thought to batteries or mechanical movements. Mine seems perfectly happy sitting near my bedside lamp or catching a bit of sun during the day. Under 60 US dollars as of this writing...just grab one.

Oooh! I might have to pick one of these up! 3:33 I have an Indiglo Expedition and can tell you that using that feature drains the CR2016 battery rather quickly. Although l like the look of the Indiglo, to have luminated hands and digits is desirable in my opinion.

How's the water resistance? Some sites cite 10 bar, some just 5. As it doesn't seem to have a screw-down back, 5 is IMHO more likely, but it would be great if the former was true.

Great informative video. I have the same watch and enjoy it. I lost the screw which holds the battery clamp in place and couldn't seem to find one that works as a replacement. I put the (over) battery clamp in place after changing the battery and popped on the back. So far, it's functional. Time will tell if it lasts long term, or until next battery change. well done! Very good review. I just bought the Expedition North 41mm solar in gunmetal green. I don't ( and still can't) find the model you are reviewing. I prefer the color and better contrast between the hands and the watch face in this scout at 40mm, unless you erred and its the 36mm. If I could find yours I'd return mine.

@@GruncleWorx Too bad this happened to you.I might as well pass on all solar watches (not to mention that I learned to change regular batteries myself) Solar watches are not 100% solar because they still use a battery that needs to be replaced ( and it's usually expensive).Regular batteries from most Timex watches last a long time. And Casio 10 year batteries are even better (some even last way longer ) Keep the good work !
