Singletrack Magazine

Singletrack Magazine

Singletrack: A meandering narrow slice of heaven, a beckoning angel, a rightful absolution from the stresses of the day, a battleground for friendly rivalries, a test of tyre contact patch adhesion, a skerf of dust kicked up on a corner, the justification for buying an expensive bike, the reason for keeping a cheap bike, a dance on the pedals, a stifled smirk, an ear to ear grin, a ‘don’t look at the tree’ moment, a qualifier for pies, beer and cake. The reason for dragging yourself out of bed on a wet Sunday morning in February, in order to earn a perfect summer’s day in return.

Loved the chromoly frame, they were responsive, flexible and gave great feedback. In the mid 90s when much stiffer aluminium frames came on the scene they felt like a downgrade (except in weight)

My reverb stealth c1 had some squish. This hack helped for on the trail, at least a little bit. Then I got home and started reading about the reverb vent valve tool (I believe it's only for the C1) and after looking and looking for somebody to sell this tool and ship it quickly. I figured out that you can use the procedure for the vent valve tool you see in the online videos but take a smaller 8mm socket and press down the air valve+cap without the tool and slide post down about an inch and hold it down for the 2 seconds. Back up and no more reverb c1 squish. (the C1 has cursive letters reverb on the top of the seat post) So the tool is a $9 dollar piece of useless plastic. Just push the air valve+cap downwards with anything that fits into that slot, slide the post down about an inch, hold for 2 seconds and away you go.

We just called a meeting of all staff to discuss your suggestion. We decided not to go with your idea. Sorry. EMTBs are a subset of MTBs. Some of us are old enough to remember getting complaints that MTBs with rear suspension were not 'Real' MTBs and it wasn't an MTB unless you feared for your spine when riding down a hill.
