    It’s an extension to the pigment arts pen range - for even more ways to use Multi Ink: The Multi Ink blending liquid dissolves the permanent Multi Ink: Ideal for mixing colours, smooth colour transitions and gradients as well as watercolour and ombré effects. Using the blender, colours can be brightened: Can be used to insert light reflections and even to correct minor errors. For more information, please see our website: www.staedtler.com/fr/fr/decouverte/pigment-arts-pen/ (French) Best regards, Sonja from STAEDTLER

    I just tried a set exactly as you are using in this video (new purchase after watching this video last week). So this time I tried them on 300gm 140 lb cold press watercolor paper by Canson and Arches. I also tried them on a 270 gm watercolor paper. I could not get them to blend out very much at all and tried everything you demonstrated. I was so disappointed-again! I returned them today. I do not understand why I have no success with these. I did buy a Staedtler waterbrush and it works fine. I

    Noticing that these videos, including this one, do not say anything of the type paper being used. This, I'm guessing will make a difference with how moveable the ink is after it is applied to the paper. Or am I wrong?

  • @STAEDTLERpencils
    @STAEDTLERpencils2 ай бұрын

    That's right, the paper you use affects how the ink behaves once it's applied. Since the availability of paper varies between countries, we have decided not to name any papers directly. We recommend cold-pressed watercolour paper with a thickness of at least 300sqm. Canvas or normal paper is not suitable for painting with watercolours. Best regards, Sonja from STAEDTLER

    pretty much any suitable ink, you can pull the nib and refill the reservoir of most markers. Some are designed to be refilled. I use AusPens for my whiteboard at home, but they've been out of black ink for a while, so any whiteboard ink can be used instead. This seems to take a while, since you're not directly filling the reservoir but using capillary action to suck the ink back into the pen. I also suppose you could use a syringe to inject the ink, if the nib is fastened inside the pen.

    Hi. Is Fimo air softer and easier to knead/roll than og Fimo? 😊

  • @STAEDTLERpencils
    @STAEDTLERpencils3 ай бұрын

    Fimo Air and oven-hardening Fimo are two different types of polymer clay that cannot be directly compared. Also, there are different hardnesses of oven-hardening FIMO. However, each type of clay has its own characteristics and advantages. Fimo Air is an air-drying polymer clay with a soft texture, as it does not need to be oven-baked. Oven-hardening Fimo, on the other hand, is a polymer clay that needs to be baked in a conventional oven to harden and cure. FIMO professional tends to be firmer and denser than air-drying polymer clay. Irrespective of this, a bowl like this can of course also be created wonderfully with oven-hardening FIMO. The process is similar to the one in the video: shape the base plate and apply the "snakes". Oven-hardening FIMO has good "self-adhesive properties", but instead of slurry (at min. 2:50) you can apply a thin layer of FIMO liquid.

    Okay, I bought a set and I like them a lot - except your lightest grays. The lightest gray you have (in both warm and cool) is equivalent to a medium gray by other brush pen manufacturers. Your lightest gray is probably equal to a Copic 4 or 5, so I need to keep my Copic N1 and N3. You need at least two lighter grays for very subtle shading.
