for the past 25 years i have written a few hundred HOW TOs for various Motorcycles, Cars and Trucks i have owned...
over the rest of 2023 i plan on converting most of them to step by step videos to show you how certain things are done
on the different vehicles and hopefully this will not only save you time BUT money too

Each to their own. But it does nothing for me and I don’t think it fits the lines of the sport glide at all. But good luck to you dude; it’s your bike and if it makes you happy then that’s all that counts.
exactly, thankfully we all have different tastes otherwise we would all be riding the exact same motorcycle with way too big tourpaks on them
This video was helpful, I saw your review on Amazon for this led light and looked you up and realized I have watched a couple of your other videos. I liked and subscribed, good content!
awesome and THANK YOU.. glad they could help you out
Just bought one from Temu £56 bargain price compared to what you normally pay in Britain, it has the same fixings, this vid has been a great help, cheers my friend.
AWESOME!!!! glad it helped you out
Diner...the Martin Way Diner in Olympia, WA.
yep, im a diner fan myself... a lot of great memories with friends sitting in diners at 3am after a 100 mile bike ride...
Thank you, i did the same think but for 190 Euros ;-)
We all know the answer is M&Ms man !! Come on brother !!
yeah BUT one of the girls said skittles....
Anyone else done this and get the burning rubber smell?
nobody on the forum ever complained of it and i personally never had an issue
Hello where can I purchase this rear light from please as can’t find the link Kind regards Richard

How well Does it match the Harley Vivid black color? Is it a glossy finish? or is it more flat black?
100% PERFECT MATCH.. i couldnt have been happier with the finish

Did you have problem with the probe?
im sorry what exactly are you asking about?
I’d like to know how did you fix the sensor (lambda), thanks
@@music4ever1983 there is no sensor in the muffler on my sport glide

@@thousanddollarmann7978 mine works fine with android 😍
@thousanddollarmann7978 the problem is your on Facebook with all the other looser. If your not getting it call them and they will link to it and upload a map. Deal with them directly not with others on Facebook. Some things are not plug and play, you have to take the time to understand it and then the problems will go away. Good luck.
Any tips on getting it back on? I’m replacing with a white wall and I cant get it past the brake caliper, I’ve tried to just put it back under it normally and that wouldn’t work, I tried removing the caliper and the little mounting bracket but once I get the wheel back under it I can’t get it all to fit. I’ve even taken the belt guard off at this point. Pain in the butt!!
do you have it up on a bike jack? if so about a 1-2" thick board under the tire and then lower the bike down to line up the axle BUT reinstall the caliper assembly first as you cant do it with the tire installed... ALSO unfortunately since you removed the caliper you will need to realign it for brakes to work properly see this video for that procedure kzread.info/dash/bejne/aaKlqcaCnL2oqLQ.html
@@thousanddollarmann7978 So I got my wheel back on and got to the brakes. I did his tip step by step, and now my pads are stuck to the rotor and the piston is fully out. I have no pressure in the brake pedal. Any tips? Forgive me I’m very new to this lol.
@@horsfe4therzfishin448 its tough for me to say without seeing it in person BUT i would start over.. you will have to take it back apart again ( IM SORRY ) as i know its a pain in the backside to get the wheel in... when you had the caliper itself off it sounds like you may have gotten air in the system... i would take it back off carefully compress piston after spraying down with brake clean once done , replace pads if they have any wear so you dont have to take it back apart again then remount the caliper and reinstall the wheel and then go through the caliper centering process again and bleed the system ... i have a video for flushing the brake systems..

hi there, may I feature it*?
sure so long as it has my channel name listed

I’m so angry and disgusted at the people in this neighborhood. No obeying the speed limit here AND the Stop signs. Thank God no one was hurt or killed.
I have the same ride. tried a mustang not quite it then went to a corbin and after 2000 mi cant be happier.
put another 50 miles on the sundowner today.. im definitely happy with it
OMG dude, just turn on the ingnition...
you have no idea what you are talking about.. followed THEIR install directions to the letter.. nothing but problems with the PILE of EXCREMENT.. nothing but problem with tune itself and auto tune is 100% worthless... join the vance & hines FP4 group on facebook if you want to see the problems 90% of the people are having with the POS
I was wrong sorry, i have same year I just looked at mine.
no problem... been doing this for 40+ years and you kind of had me confused there for a minute
you put it on upside down, look at brake pedal and floor boards
Would have been nice to hear it dude!
sorry dude i apoligize .. i assumed everyone has heard the horns on the touring/softail/dynas from 2014 on up... as they are all the same part number...

Hei, I just bought switchback, du you remember stok number of batwhing and bracket? I am afraid to order wrong type.....bike looks awesome 😊
batwing part # should be in video description MEM7011, mounting hardware is in the hardware install video but is 2320-0113... windscreen is the spoiler 9" sorry i dont have that part number off hand
forgot to add, make sure you subscribe to this channel.. i have abnout 25 more switchback specific HOW TOs that i will be uploading throughout this year
Hey! Where did you get this?
my son bought it off of ebay was also available on Amazon as of Christmas.. if you check video description im pretty sure i put both links
Would it be a good time to get those back spark plugs changed, or nah?
this is the 2.4L so only 4 across the top... but if you have the v6 and its due as you know its a PITA job so you just have to lay across the engine and just do it..
Thank you

Looks nothing like a king tour pack
it is nearly same dimensions as a king tourpak NO its not coated in leather with faux straps it is actually made better as i have owned a king pak and it was not as sturdy as the givi
Hey mate great videos, can I ask how you got on with these. Q1,When they are full, are they easy to put in and take out of the panniers? Q2, as these are both the same size, which pannier do they fit best? Q3, is there any spare space in either pannier? Thanks in advance mate. 😊
hey thanks for the compliment.. i am far from a professional but do the best i can and its nice to hear that you enjoy them... with that said that have not had them on a trip yet , probably sometime in April as i have a weekend trip planned towards the end of the month but i do not foresee an issue with putting them in and taking them out due to the way the clam shells open i will try to remember to update how they work.. they are both the same size so you will have room .. let me add that i have a set of bags for my street glide too and when packed there is some room left over in them...
Thanks, would be nice to know how they go when packed. Have a great trip
@@Yelwas your welcome and i will try to remember update after or during the trip
Very nice
thank you.. best upgrade i have done to date..
Did you ever record a video for the back tranmission mount?
no i did not, that one was in good shape.. i believe it was replaced before we got the car.. i will be doing the side one under the battery as soon as the weather breaks
@@thousanddollarmann7978 Sounds good. I'm attempting to start doing my transmission mounts on my 07' 3.5L convertible hardtop.
im a firm believer in doing it yourself.. just budget enough time in case you run in to an issue.. also i would spray some wd40 on all the mounting bolts and nuts a couple days before you plan on starting.. @@evanmoyer2486
This video is exactly what I needed to see. If I already have forward controls, would my job be the same? I have a 2022 softail standard. Could you provide a link to the aftermarket brackets and hardware?
hi, check my Sport glide play list as a couple videos prior to install are the parts used unboxing and the links for everything are in the description of those videos ... if you already have forwards on the bike this set up should work as the sport glide came stock with forwards
Thank you
@@TCT613 youre welcome
Hi! Is it possible to get a link to where you found the brackets? And the Floor boards?
hi, if you check the full playlist i have 3 short videos showing the parts i used with links in the descriptions
Good video well I would say that the tork wrench on everything was not 100% necessary but still a good job
in my case it is... i have a habit of breaking bolts off... but i can tell you on those torqua clamps i see where people under tighten them because thy think they have reached the proper torque value.... seen many exhaust pipes laying on the side of the road heading to and from rallys
Good Video. Cheers

Will definitely get one it's a better option than Rinehart
got it installed and video will be up on Saturday morning.. DEFINITELY an improvement over the tailgunner just idling in the garage...
Thanks Just a hint don't film dark things in a dark garage with a background of an extremely bright outside, or all we see is... shadows and darkness. But I did learn. Thanks again.
yeah unfortunately im not a professional .. i have gotten better since
Why is the nylon washer necessary, cant you just use a hole further in on the clevis pin?
NO, that would make it too tight.. you are looking for a happy medium so to speak... too tight you still get vibration, too lose you still got vibration but in a different RPM range
Just ordered these for my 08 Nightster. Can’t wait to try it
you are going to love the ride after the install
Great video, I’m certain this is the way I’m going to go for my 2023 Sport glide (we still have them 2022 & 2023 models here in the U.K.) I’ve removed the mini batwing fairing on mine and it’s never going back on again. Useless. Don’t see the point of it. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
AWESOME!!! thanks for the comment.. and YES i love the memphis shades over the mini batwing.. the shield does its job especially at highway speeds.. i wish they still made it for the USA if they did i would have had a brand new one in my garage
Have a look at mine, 2023MY
i like those saddlebag guards.. @@aaronblack001
I'd like to see how you tie down the bike.
10 minutes in to the rear wheel removal kzread.info/dash/bejne/Ymdqya-rY6fIhbQ.html you can see the ratchet strap... my jack has welded on eyelets that the strap hooks in to... i hook on with the long part of strap and go behind rear cylinder around transmission being CAREFUL not to pinch any wiring or tubes under the bike to the ratcheting part and snug it down....
@@thousanddollarmann7978 Thanks, I actually found a few videos on the procedure. Very helpful. Your video on taking the front wheel off & on will be very helpful. That's my next project.

Do you have a part number for those boards? I thought I could make out 50500742 on the bottom of the first board you unpacked, but it doesn't come up on the H-D website.
if you want the same ones i have they are 50500741 and 50500742 which is the pans then the inserts are extra.. for me it was too expensive to buy from dealer... much cheaper to buy complete set on ebay , the units i bought he ddnt have best offer but i reached out and asked if he could go lower and he sent me what i thought was a fair offer for them www.ebay.com/itm/155867336472?hash=item244a6acf18:g:7rIAAOSwesdlRS5B&amdata=enc%3AAQAIAAAA4M12IlMZ%2B44xEK2zZQ3m3wwDdavidh1bJrbVwtvX5j9%2F5H0PFs%2F%2FXbcPF1lYEDZbF1dzJxfDkaPsXhJEFu49jePhaVGjyg%2F1OYmEMvzQyD7i8jWvFzUjKOiYPyL66CNdJqA639ZfmIPp%2BxlzV6mlzWVlB5mxxEUCcRbopZAMh6GHi5iLM4viKxWF8OzVo%2BDjPSkyumJAv0%2FXP1Cz3q%2B0M%2FAFnUepiDwqNZ%2BzpiK1kFGDu8fS8Vd377hNGrFTlmEOK2nOjA2KOfzdQmFG57GyTgKutufVXikg0mF5UDe0NPYL%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR-ytndeCYw ALSO keep in mind you can also run the half moon boards used on the later model softails also, i know the 2020s will work unsure fif the 18/19s will
Do you know if that solid wheel has a bearing spacer sleeve in the wheel or is it not necessary on the solid wheels.
there is a spacer see #18 in this fiche partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel/13/harleydavidsonmc/716
Can you please provide the part numbers?
Hi Part numbers have been added to video description just below ronnies fiche link
Great video, worked like a charm. Thank you.
AWESOME!!! so glad it helped you out..
Yeah, it’s weird that the manufacturer wouldn’t send out a simple gasket for this, they have to know there is a problem with the feedback.
oh they do.. many complaints about it all over the web so i knew going in that there was an issue that needed to be figured out @@629ripley
Great how to video- I appreciate that fact that it's just images and instructions; no need to silence a distracting soundtrack!

Did you find that the batwing fairing helped with the buffeting off the stock windshield? @@thousanddollarmann7978
What’s the point? Can you keep your windshield? Or are you now stuck with a fairing ?
you can swap back and forth according to members on the owners forum.. personally once i installed the fairing i found it worked better than the stock screen and never went back to using it .. i either ran the fairing or ran the bike stripped down
Found my way here from the proboards fld site- many thanks for creating and maintaining that resource! I'm wondering how you liked the batwing fairing, compared to the stock windshield. I'm royally sick of the buffeting off that thing, but I'm not a fan of the fork deflector look- did this fairing/shield combo help with that problem?
absolutely LOVED the batwing fairing , buffeting i didnt really notice while a lot of others complained a lot about it... i think some of it has to do with helmet choice as some catch air more than others.. with that said the main cause is air coming up from under the windshield and a set of fork air defelctors pretty much made everyone that complained happy... company called JES .. jescustomaccents.com/products-1/ols/categories/switch-backs
Why am I not surprised at this? Because I observe this just about every day, especially at the traffic light at the exit of our neighborhood. I used to attribute to folks being on their phones, but the majority of folks I’ve observed are NOT looking down or even holding their phones. They’re staring straight ahead. So…are they blind? Brain dead? 🙄🤷🏻♀️
Nice tip on not removing the rear brake caliper. 👍 What socket size was used on the left axle nut.
