Ram and ravanan both are fictional characters the way valmiki depicted ravanan as a south indian king who has dark skin tone and he potrayed him as an womenizer and evil which indirectly comes to view that south indian people who have dark skin are evil(Asuras) and womenizer and that's why periyar condemned it as an aryan ideology which racialize South indians(dravidians) and periyar is an athiest, he is against the hindu ideology because he thought it is the root cause of caste system which is a cancer till this date. He voiced against brahmin dominance over the lower caste people in the name of religion. He fought for women empowerment. He instigated the principle of self respect among the people who were downtrodden in name of caste and religion, don't say wrong about periyar without knowing him and Tamil is the oldest living language in the world and it is older than sanskrit ofc.

The question why people worship is a stupid one and it's only purpose is to egalize all kinds of worship. But tey are not equal! According to the Hindu texts • in Kritayuga only Brahman (the creator) was worshipped and only through meditation. • In Tretayuga the gods began to worship Brahma (the universe) through sacrifices but only at the north pole (''navel of the earth''). • In the first part of Dvaparayuga the householders and their wifes sacrificed at the oven of the house to the Daityas (constellations). • in the second part of Dvaparayuga the Brahmins were invented and made the sacrifices to the Devas (which occupieed the constellations) and only then temples were created. • and in Kaliyuga finally everbody worshipps whom and as he likes alone or through Brahmins at home or in a temple. As you can see this clearly shows step by step an ongoing degeneration of religion. Idol worship is just the last step of this developement.
It is just a conclusion that idol worship was forbidden in the Judaism because of the wirshiping of the golden calf. There are other possible reasons too!
Idol worshipping is just a sign of the degeneration of religion in Kaliyuga.

After seeing Englush with so many borrowed words around the world, i am not impressed to form a opinion on a few or some words sounding same. Hypothetically some one argue that 1. Bazaar 2. Chutney 3. Bungalow 4. Jaggery. 5. Jaggernaut etc in english snd deduce Sanskrit and English are related ? Silly right ..same. India is part of Spuce route & there may be 100s of words that go either way in centuries.

The inherent flaw is in our Indian people’s mindset especially those who consider themselves educated and holding a position of ‘status’. Once they get to the chair, they want to sit back n relax and stay put till retirement and work the least or not to have to do any extra work. I say this bcos a friend of mine by name Dr. Unnikrishnan C.S from TIFR has proven Einstein’s Theory of Relativity wrong; proven and published the results. But the Indian Theoretical Physics Scientists have failed to come forward and acknowledge his brilliant work. Shame on our own Indian Scientist. Until this F#^*%+ mindset is killed, India will always remain behind.
