    I’ve SUP’d for ten years and am looking for a fun option for windy days on the lake. What size wing do you recommend for a 6’1” man on lakes with 12-15 mph winds. 5.5 or 6 m?

    I have a Lift4 that I purchased from you guys last summer. Took it out for the first time the other day and it did great. I took it out a second time yesterday and it did well. However, I decided to just lay on the board and cruise around at 1-2mph for something different. After a while, I noticed intermittent power loss. Power would engage and disengage. I'm worried to take the the board out again as I don't want to get stuck in the middle of the lake. So the Lift4 boards do not have the antenna that goes to the front of the board? I am at work now but will check when I get home. I'm also going to replace the remote battery as it's been installed since I bought the board. Fingers crossed its not a big issue. 🤞

    Have you guys seen where a Lift 3F gets stress cracks in the hole around the diameter where the mast mounts and cables come through? Also, is it repairable?

    Never thought about running an X series on the eFoil, but after your overview of Florence X wings, I'm now waiting for your review! An efficient but carvy wing is exactly what I am looking for. I would love to hear how it compares to the 120 HA, and your thoughts on how it compares to the Surf 150 and 100. Really interested in how well it carves and how it effects ride time, vs the others.

    We run all the lift foils on the efoil. I should have the review done this week. The efoils are great because you can do anything and the performance wings are actually a lot of fun if you're a good rider. The glide change is incredible. Let us know how we can help!

    @@midlerp I have been considering the HA 90 or Surf 100, I'm thinking they would carve great, but I have not moved on either due to worry about the battery life. My guess is 45 min would be a best case with either. That's why I'm considering the HA120, and now maybe a Florence wing. I am willing to give up some carve for battery life. In your review please include the wings desire for speed and the effect on ride time.

    I didn't get the bar width settings: when I flip the toggles from + to - the bar, visually, remained with the same length. Could you clarify, please?

  • @midlerp
    @midlerp15 күн бұрын

    The bar width remains the same but it moves where the leader lines are relative to one another so the with one setting they are closer together than the other setting which is all that matters for bar width as that is what you're actually controlling. Hope that makes sense.

    But if you are telling everyone to buy new instead of second hand, who is buying them off you to recoup your 80%? You need a lot of demand in the 2nd market to get higher prices. The less people buying 2nd hand, less demand, drops your potential sale price

    Could you help me understand the differences between the 12m 5 strut Flite and 12m XR Pro. I have owned many XRs and have a quiver of XR7s. I also own A-series 3 strut Flite 17m & 14.5m- outstanding light wind big kites. I recently added a 12m Flite, I love the way it flies, but am concerned about its durability- it just blew a strut bladder (similar issue to my 17m- both new kites), makes it hard for me to trust them, plus it feels much less durable than my Cores. I find the XR7 13.5m and 11m a bit sluggish compared to my OR kites. I’m considering switching the 12m Flite 5 strut for the XR Pro- what can I expect?

At the moment I don't even have my gear, because if you start to buy gear you just live for this. It's ridiculous these prices on the current market.

I think kite will fly a way or I have to hold it in which case loosing same time as manual pumping. I thought securing the kite by tread but being on the beach with many other kites doesn't seem like real option. So any thoughts on it?

    I'm fascinated between these new generation foils. We have Armstrong and Axis both based in NZ and I'm keenly observing the reviews on their high end foils. My foil skills are poor but I love designing, I'm as good at design and as I'm terrible at gybing😆 I'm waiting for Axis to play with the foil sections at different widths. A few of us are doing it and it can give some pretty cool effects. It's interesting how everyone races to faster and faster foils and then at some stage you realise that your favorite foil isn't necessarily your fastest, it can be the multi-purpose one that keeps your body weight up but carves well, surfs smaller stuff and is an all-rounder. These eliptical foils(spitfire too) have a wealth of aerodynamic experience to go with them. Ultimately, we pick foils for our local conditions, our weight, our skill level and our happy place in using them. These artpros look great for down winding on low energy waves. I prefer lower aspect ratio though for the sorts of messy, gusty cross chop strong wind conditions I get at my own local spot.

    Hey there, unfortunately in making the harness loop connection narrower we didn't have the space to make the same original Navigator harness loops work. On top of this the security finger is now separate to the harness loop. By fixing the finger directly to the QR body this makes it much less likely to accidently release the harness loop from your spreader bar hook. These upgrades make the QR on the Nav Pro both stronger and even safer.

    I was looking through your website items and got to a dilemma so I got into this youtube presentation you have to figure out which one would be the winning option. I am a Kiteboarder and not too long I got "acquainted" with the hydrofoiling and consider to get into Kite-Foiling so to do that I am considering the following: PFI 633 Lower - or - PFI 730 Lower > which of the two would you go with for an beginner/intermediate foiler ? Also will travel between US and Europe twice a year and I'm thinking about luggage, would it be such a difference between the 82 Mast and the 92 Mast ? - I am asking because the 82 would fit quite OK in the luggage, even though if I put it diagonally probably 92 may be able to fit (is only 10 cm ) Which Lower with which Mast would you consider as quiver for the above situation? Thanks in advance for your input and help !!!! 👍

    There is no point of mounting the HAX if you keep the propguard. Mount the folding prop, hook up the light battery instead of the full range, and enjoy the experience of de-powered gliding/pumping even with a heavy setup compared to a foildrive.

  • @meshmellow
    @meshmellow4 ай бұрын

    @@brandonbrandon38 yep. Even with my weight (190 lbs) the glide is impressive and even with the smallest wake you can glide depowered for quite sometime, give it few pumps and maximize the ride. But to be completely honest, pumping an efoil set up is way less efficient than the Foildrive and extremely tiring if you plan long unpowered rides. The two products are complementary. But if you want to catch some max shoulder-high waves or wake thief, if you train the right technique, an efoil with the right setup can do the trick.
