  Well into my 72nd year of living. Been riding dirt since spring of 1969. The past few years I went through a period that I had to re-evaluate my riding goals. My primary goal now is to ride as long as I am physically able. I decided I would rearrange my riding priorities to enhance my primary goal, such as I decided my time of riding performance bikes that are too tall and too top heavy are behind me. The changes I made: I went with a lower/lighter bike. I decided to keep my butt on intermediate type trails and leave the hard stuff to those that are younger and full of piss n' vinegar. My changes have resulted in a big confidence boost because I can flat foot it both sides when seated, as well as riding a bike that's about 50 lbs lighter. I also stay on terrain that lends itself well to staying upright. Of course, you're going to have to figure out what's good for you (or as I say it, you're need to "ride your own ride"), however you just survived a fall that could have very easily broke your femur or your hip. You can only roll the dice so many times before it catches up to you. I wish the best for you in your riding time ahead.

  I'm going to be that guy these moonshiners are what my grandfather would call woods bums meaning they don't pay into social security or anything else and when they get sick they go to hospital and simply claim bankruptcy when the bills pour in .So those of us that pay in are paying for the woods bums
