It is a really good movie, and they paid a lot of a tribute to the original film. Again it was good, but not as good as the first movie. For me it ranks 3 behind 1 and 2, and I put Prey at 4 with AVP at 5 ad 6.

Quite an underrated film in the franchise. Yes it pretty much plays best for beat as the first film. But it’s a fun movie. Adrian Brody delivers in this one and I do think it’s a shame he never came back

For me, Arnies best film and performance. Top 5 film for me. 1. A clockwork orange. 2. Withnail and I. 3. Pulp fiction. 4. Texas chainsaw massacre. 5. Predator. What makes this movie so good (apart from it being near perfect movie) is that it crosses genres from an action movie to a Sci fi movie to a horror movie.

When I first saw Predator, it was on tv and I knew nothing about it. What it is hard for present day new viewers to understand is the fact the viewer didn't know who or what was stalking them was the point. A few years later, I got the DVD to watch with my son, and the photo of the Predator was across all of the art work, and that suspense just couldn't be part of the experience any more. But I think first time viewers lose a lot of the enjoyment because of that. Film companies have forgotten that not everything should be press-released and advertised - especially the main plot twists!
