    I had that same off brand surge protector temporarily and was highly skeptical of its effectiveness and this video confirms it. I replaced it with an equivalent Belkin. When it comes to surge protectors, only go with name brands: APC, TrippLite, Belkin, CyberPower, GE.

    I searched for this becsuse i couldn't beieve the snare drum sound was actually game gear sound. No other game on GG or Master System had a drum that slaps like that. I know GG and Master System couldn't play sampled sound without stopping the action. So they must have pulled this off without using samples.

    I also have a "Kerpu" spot welder, this one seems to be either a later model or a fancier model. The PCB inside looks almost identical, except mine came with a tiny OLED display on the front, and the battery has thermal paste and metal to thermally bond it to the case.

    Hello, I apologize if I don't write correctly in English. I bough a Japanese megadrive (model 1). I have the typical problem of jailbars or rainbow banding. The CRT I have only supports composite video. Also, even if I could use RGB I'm not interested because I would lose transparency effects due to dithering. I also don't want to modify my console. As is public knowledge, typical megadrive cables output a poor composite video, which contains jailbar or rainbow banding. Those cables use a Din8 connector output pin that contains all the R+G+B+Sync signals together. For that reason I want to extract RGB from the Din8 output and convert it to composite video. That is, I want to take the pins that have the R,G,B,Sync signals separately (without using the composite video pin) and introduce them into a circuit that converts them to composite video, using the AD724 chip (or another similar or better). I have found information on how to build a CSYNC SCART cable (which I am not interested in at the moment) so I am clear about which output pins contain the signal that is useful to me. What I need is a schematic to build a composite video output. Do you have any documentation or links that you can share with me? Keep in mind that I do not have advanced knowledge of electronics, so I need a simple instruction that only consists of assembling a circuit and soldering components, like a cooking recipe. I would appreciate any information you can provide me to achieve that goal. Thank you.

    Hi there - I am developing a PCB board to convert the sync in consoles to work with AD724/5 and other chips / monitors. It does take technical know-how to install this stuff though, but I will make guides when it is ready for sale.

    @@SegasonicfanDesigns I understand, you are developing products to sell. I am geographically far away, shipping costs and tax bureaucracy make it difficult to buy these types of products. Anyway, I wish you luck in your business project.

    I just wish the screen could automatically change between 50Hz PAL and 60Hz NTSC. I have the PAL version of it and I love it! Apparently you could directly plug in a PS2 as well and it will work just as good. But for that you'd need to mod it (as in break the case to plug it into the PS2 slim) or use a male to male AV extension cable.

  • @SegasonicfanDesigns
    @SegasonicfanDesignsАй бұрын

    You could do it if you *really* wanted. A fairly involved project, and taking apart this screen is guaranteed to mess stuff up (read, glue, plastic slips everywhere, etc.) immerhax.com/?p=779 might be worth the effort if you really want a NTSC screen. You could also pay me to do this mod, but it would probably be more than you'd want to pay. But feel free to reach out!

    Hey! Might me a long stretch since its quite an old video, but how did you manage to tear down this early model of the mkII? I have this exact version of the 1200 with the 4-inch rca hole in the back and the single-piece bottom plate and I have been searching for countless hours how to disassemble it. I've got to the point where all the screws on the underside are taken off, but I can't get to detach the bottom plate from the top aluminium plate. With how little information there is online about this specific early version I feel like I'm stuck there and really don't want to break anything. It also feels so much different to the later version of the mkII, I am so happy to have found your channel. Thank you so much!

  • @SegasonicfanDesigns
    @SegasonicfanDesigns3 ай бұрын

    Hi there, I got mine from a thrift store and it was already kinda messed up with missing screws and stuff. I think the disassembly isn't that different from the newer ones though? There are a bunch of screws on the bottom, then you have to take out the platter and undo the scews below there. Only after you disassemble the two halves of the entire player, can you get to the tonearm screws inside. I recommend looking up service manuals for the 1200, they have lots of detail disassembly instructions. I also have a playlist of videos for the 1200 here. Good luck !

    the problem is not with this preamp, power source is producing this high pitch noise, change it to something else, use good quality power source with output filters, you'll see a difference

  • @SegasonicfanDesigns
    @SegasonicfanDesigns3 ай бұрын

    not correct. I am using a clean battery power source which works great for all my audio gear. The noise is clearly from the pre-amp, and you can hear in the video that the designers put in a noise gate to try and filter out the tremendous noise this thing produces. It's clearly an engineering flaw from a cheap overseas product.

  • @gmnevton
    @gmnevton3 ай бұрын

    This power brick You use is a DC to DC converter, it includes in it's inside a mini power inverter and it makes that high pitch noise. And Yes it is posible that other audio equipment that You use is more resistant to that type of interference, but it does'n mean that this preamp is shit, it just don't filter on its own the shity electricity.

    This video is generally very good at explaining how to pull the pro model apart but since the KZread algorithm is putting it at the top of English searches I thought I'd clarify a point. There's actually an additional, hidden plastic clip on the front panel that is not mentioned in this video (if you look carefully in the video you can see that it has been previously snapped off), this clip is in the upper right hand corner of the case (if you're viewing it from the front) above the power and hard disk access lamps. It's oriented vertically unlike the other ones; it must be a commonly missed thing as I found mine rattling around inside the case. Good luck to anyone reading this!
