Please Sold all and save only 1 camera and 1 lens. You will not think about cameras. For example You can save only Leica D-Lux 8
I echo your thoughts, I had the opportunity to buy an sl3 and traveled to Dubai to collect it. But when I tried it in store before buying it, it just felt way less solid feeling and robust compared to the sl2. Also I totally agree that the sl2 shutter sounds feel much more satisfying and mechanical which I care about because it's part of the leica experience. Additionally the top dial on the sl2 feels much tighter and thus exuded a higher quality feeling. The sl3 on the other hand had noticeably better high iso performance, but af speed was kinda similar. Regardless it didn't matter to me since I use m mount glass on it exclusively. Therefore, I ended up buying the silver sl2 and it has been without a shadow of a doubt my favorite camera ever. Sure it's not a fast speed demon, or low light beast, but it offers such a premium almost luxurious experience where everything's feels so tactile, so satisfying, manual focus is a joy with that gorgeous evf, and the build quality and intuitive ui is just next level.

I would never shoot 1.7 for portraits....2.8 or 3.2 that way nose eyes and cheeks are in face in focus.

Wow stabilisation is 💩 And Sigma has some weird corner softness. Looks bad wouldn't want to vlog with those mostly because of the wobble. But field of view at 10 to 12mm is pretty good for vlogging. Did you have EIS on? If on EIS maybe double the shutterspeed to get better stabilisation
Spent May in Portugal, used my SL2 for 90% (with Sigma 35mm f2, and 28-70mm f2.8) the rest with my M10R. I would upgrade to the M11-P for the internal memory alone. Such a nice camera. The SL2 is such a great camera. Enjoy Italy. Cheers from Ottawa!

@@bigheadtaco I have Voigtlander VM lenses, 28mm f2 Ultron II, 35mm f2 Ultron II and 50mm f2 APO-Lanthar. I have a TTArtisan 28mm f5.6 that I’m trying to sell since I’ve picked up the 28mm Ultron.
@@GamachePhoto the 28mm Ultron is a great lens, technically sharper than my 28mm Summicron V1. But I got use to the look of my lens, so I’m pretty happy. 50mm APO is nice too!
Hopefully, you are not going out to walk with all that equipment. In Italy (actually, in most major European cities), less is better. No, they won't use a gun like in the USA, but they are experts in making stuff disappear.
No I rarely have more than one camera out. I keep items inside my camera bag while I have one around my neck at all times. I travelled from Rome to Florence, Bologna, Livorno, and Trieste. The only city I was worried about my gear was Rome. Every other city I was fine.
SL2 is the camera you need, M11 is the camera you desire

I just discovered that they have waterproof camera inserts. That would be a game changer for me. I think they might be the only one that offers those.

Internal storage is such a no brainer, wish more cameras had that.
for sure, manufacturers used to do it more often in the past, but most brands removed it. Memory is so cheap. It's a great selling feature.
How is it different from an SD card?
@@petermartin9494 in actual use, it's not really any different other than you can't remove the internal memory. But since it's wired in, it should be more stable and faster.
What cameras do you "actually" own, as I only hear you talk about loaners ??

I've been a photographer for almost 30 years and I rarely sell my cameras. I have lots. But as a reviewer, I can't continually buy cameras and lenses and never sell. Long-term loans allow me to create meaningful review content, and once I'm done, I can return it.

Italy ? Watch your gear and wallet at any time. Store docs, bank cards in RFID pouches. Friends stayed in hotel near Pantheon, waked up and the Rolex gone and travel money too.
Yes, I am hyper-aware of my surroundings and all my gear. Since I travel for work, and I've been all over the world, you kind of get a sense of when you're in danger.

Can you print photos from the SD card?
Love my 10L Think Tank retrospective. 3 Go Pros with two car mounts and small tripod. Also takes my my DJI Air2S. spare batteries and controller. Room for a small Vlog mirrorless. My other walk around kit is a Nikon DSLR with the 24-70 and a Flash and trigger. Tired of packing and unpacking so I am leaning a second bag. Either 5 or 7L . Shopping brands ATM but I just love the look of this bag.

I’m surprised that you mentioned that the M11 body is weather sealed. Is it really? The lenses don’t have any seal so I’m not sure how this body will be sealed when coupled with a manual unsealed lens!! Would you clarify please?
