I sometimes use "like" but I never use "umm", although I know a lot of people who do. Now the real reason I'm commenting is because you sound and act exactly like a friend of mine who always says umm, talks about random stuff in the same sort of tone and voice in audio messages and has the same hair length as you. Thanks for the laugh and reminder to him.

I know it is weird to pause in a middle of a conversation or when you are trying to answer a question and it might make you seem stupid. However I think it is worse trying to fill it with words that bring no value to the question you are trying to answer or the conversation and I would argue that adding these filler words makes you seem less of a intellect. Honestly who gives a flip what those people think anyway. Its good to try and work on your speech

some of us don't know what it's like to win, so we shoot ourself in the foot in order to stay within our comfort zone and not excel. maybe it's because we don't think we're worth the effort of attempting to improve our situation; that we're a lost cause. so you can be scared of failure AND uncomfortable with winning, so "not trying" is like coin-flipping. keep your expectations low, 'cause your hopes are always gonna be dashed.

source: me being a National Merit semifinalist without studying because even the THOUGHT of getting such a prestigious-sounding award made me feel... somehow, guilty? and it'd almost be "lying" for me to practice for a standardized test... i'm pissed about it now because my computed score is JUST BELOW my state's cutoff for making it as a finalist, so i missed out on hundreds of dollars of scholarship money. idk man im just PISSED at myself. the self-sabotage is real :(

21 pairs of identical twins given two completely different diets for 8 weeks: vegan and omnivore One huge parameter was LDL cholesterol.. Can cause heart disease and stroke and is a standard clinical measure Over course of 8 weeks LDL dropped significantly on a vegan diet .. TMAO is a substitute your body produces when you eat meat. It is considered to increase unhealthy levels of inflammation in the body.. and is associated with a higher risk of heart disease One twin fed meat her TMAO increased by 160%, in 8 weeks. The other twin on a vegan diet plummeted by 350%, both in 8weeks. TMAO was significantly lower in all twins in the vegan group
