    The Ridge in Springville is on the second highest mountain in the state and has a lot of great trails for beginners as well as some sketchy stuff that will challenge experienced riders too. A lot of motorcycle only trails crisscross the ute trails. The trails are tight though so a lot of the longer wheelbase vehicles will have to compensate

    I noticed you have a piece of a 4x4 on your trailer. I used to do this until I hit a bump and it went flying down the highway. Just a suggestion but I wouldn't do this. I put it in my trailer box now.

    Good eye! I borrowed this trailer from a local, and left it there because I was only towing under 40 mph to and from our campground. I brought the side by side into town with our toy hauler camper, and later found out there is no ORV ordinance in the township where the dunes are located. So, a Facebook post later I was offered a trailer rental in exchange for a pack of beer. Seemed like a deal to me, so I left his trailer exactly as he gave it to me, loose board and all.

    There are a lot of rules and regulations there to keep it safe. It's up to the operators to follow them and operate within their skill and comfort zones. When you're there, you can stay in safe zones or you can put yourself in the middle of danger zones.

    Air down to about 15PSI and keep it in 4 High. Keep momentum when approaching and climbing hills. If you start coming to a stop when near the top, let off the gas and try again instead of staying on it and digging down.

    Curious about the trail that lead to the tracks. Was that grants branch? If so when was this video shot? Maps are saying it’s impassable, not sure how current this info is.

  • @ATVG
    @ATVGАй бұрын

    We don't recall anything labeled Grant's Branch. This video was recorded in August of 2023. The trail went under the railroad tracks (had about 1 foot deep of water under the bridge) and then turned back around and up a steep climb to get to the tracks. Hope that helps.

  • @OHVLife
    @OHVLifeАй бұрын

    Trying to convince myself to move to Arkansas where the cost of living is still pretty sane by today's standards, especially compared to Rocky Mountain states. But I am afraid that the OHV options compared to Utah and Colorado will be disappointing. It looks like some of those areas mentioned are pay for play which is a foreign concept to someone living out West. I have 5 machines so a day at an OHV park would be over $200! Do you end up riding the same trails over and over again in the Ozarks? Trying to use YT to do some research and some of the channels I follow seem to be hitting the same trails pretty frequently. Also, does not seem AR Ozarks trail systems has the concept of a trail head, seems like a campground and a run down the highway is quite frequently needed to get on the trails you want.

  • @ATVG
    @ATVGАй бұрын

    Utah and Colorado are hard to beat when it comes to riding. Living expenses, on the other hand, is a different story.

  • @ATVG

    Depends on where you're taking it, and if you want to use it as a street legal machine or not. If you're only going to use it on trails (trailer it back and forth to trailheads), then the local permit is all you'll need. Your best bet, to ensure you won't have any surprises, is to call the local DNR of where you want to ride to verify everything you'll need to be legal to ride. They may also be able to provide you insight of riding locations, as well as maps of some areas.
