Where can I find the guide rollers used on the tape dispenser? The black and the white ones. Almost have all my parts
@fireworks17275 жыл бұрын
The white rollers are just nylon round stock that was cut to size. The black tape guides were pieces I 3D printed. You can come up with anything that you can use that will allow the tape to pass through it.

What is the ball fixture angle to the deck
@fireworks17275 жыл бұрын
Its adjustable. The c clamp assembly pivots on a bolt on the center axis. You need to have the height and the angle set correct or your open poles will be large. The shell needs to sit as high as you can get it so the tape goes around the center of the shell and not offset.
@garyhale56455 жыл бұрын
I don't understand the bearing on the bottom of the fixture that allows the ball to rotate.
@fireworks17275 жыл бұрын
Think of that whole c clamp assembly as a regular c-clamp you would use for anything you would need to clamp...if you used a regular c clamp the shell would not rotate because one end is a fixed pad. This is the reason you need a bearing on the opposite end of the motor. As the motor turns the other end also needs to turn. So how i made the bearing assembly. Take a 1.5" long 1/2-20 bolt and machine off the head until there is only about 1/8" of the head left. Take the bearing and put it on the bolt and then put a nut on the bolt. Sandwich everything together. Tighten as tight as you can. Now take a piece of 1.5" solid aluminium rod about 1.5" long and bore a hole in it the o.d. of the bearing and the depth of the bearing width plus the 1/8" depth of the bolt head plus a little more clearance. Proably need about 5/8" or so on the total depth. On the other end drill and tap that side to 1/2-20 thread. Once you got all that done. ..press the bearing into the hole. You sould have a aluminium rod in one hand and you should be able to spin the bolt with the other hand. Screw the hole saw on that bolt and then on the other end a short piece of threaded rod 1/2-20. You and then screw the whole bearing assembly onto the other side of the c-clamp assembly.

What gear is on the angle motor and how was it adapted to the square output
@fireworks17275 жыл бұрын
Make an adapter for the one that came with the ring gear from the motor. Or buy a gear. Boston gear manufacturer. The numbers on the box are 09746 and nd12b. Its a steel spur gear. U need to get a 4mm keyed shaft to go into the motor and tack weld it to whatever your going to use for the gear shaft. I used a 1/2" bolt.

Hello, great device. I want to collect the same one for myself. Have you upgraded anything? How long does a large bearing last?
Do you sell any?
